Sorafenib,as a first-line drug for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),could trigger ferroptosis by inhibiting cystine/glutamate ***,low-level intracellular iron and insufficient activation of adenosine monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase(AMPK)confer impaired response to *** this study,a unique sorafenib nanocomposite dexterously modified with Fe-Material of Institut Lavoisier(sora@Fe-MIL)was synthesized to escalate intracellular iron level and activate AMPK,further potentiating the ferroptotic effect of ***,this strategic deployment of sora@Fe-MIL triggered an extensive demise of cancer cells,while manifesting negligible deleterious impact on normal *** prominent ferroptosis biomarkers,glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)and solute carrier family 7 member 11(SLC7A11),underwent pronounced downregulation,underscoring the efficacy of this strategy in inducing ***,the bioactivity of AMPK was considerably elevated,and its downstream targets were conspicuously inhibited by the treatment with sora@*** orthotopic HCC animal models,we observed a substantial suppression of primary in situ tumor growth,and ribonucleic acid(RNA)sequencing elucidated an elevated degree of ferroptosis and AMPK activation with the treatment of sora@*** conclusion,we proposed that the meticulously designed strategy for secure and efficacious iron release and AMPK activation could significantly potentiate the ferroptotic impact of sorafenib,thus resuscitating its therapeutic response in HCC patients.

Cr-coated zirconium alloy was prepared by pulsed laser deposition(PLD)for the application of accident-tolerant fuel cladding in light water *** microstructural characteristics of the Cr coating and its evolution with temperature were investigated using grazing incidence X-ray diff raction and in situ heating transmission electron microscopy(TEM).Results show that the microstructure of the laser-deposited Cr coatings consists mainly of fine and non-specific shaped nano-crystals in the inner layer and columnar crystals in the outer *** recrystallization of the Cr-coating layer starts at 300–400℃ to release the high strain introduced by PLD,and the grain coalescence starts at temperatures>400°*** annealing,the(110)-texture gradually intensifi es because of its high reticular density and low close-packed ***,in situ heating TEM observation shows the presence of cavities on the Cr–Zr interface,which may result from the interdiff usion and/or the transformation from amorphous to crystalline.

In recent years, the coastal region of Southeast China has witnessed a significant increase in the frequency and intensity of extreme rainfall events associated with landfalling typhoons. The hilly and mountainous terrain of this area, combined with rapid rainfall accumulation, has led to a surge in flash floods and severe geological hazards. On August 10, 2019, Typhoon Lekima made landfall in Zhejiang Province, China, and its torrential rainfall triggered extensive landslides, resulting in substantial damage and economic losses. Utilizing high-resolution satellite images, we compiled a landslide inventory of the affected area, which comprises a total of 2,774 rainfallinduced landslides over an area of 2965 km2. The majority of these landslides were small to mediumsized and exhibited elongated, clustered patterns. Some landslides displayed characteristics of high-level initiation, obstructing or partially blocking rivers, leading to the formation of debris dams. We used the inventory to analyze the distribution pattern of the landslides and their relationship with topographical, geological, and hydrological factors. The results showed that landslide abundance was closely related to elevation, slope angle, faults, and road density. The landslides were predominantly located in hilly and low mountainous areas, with elevations ranging from 150 to 300 m, slopes of 20 to 30 degrees, and a NE-SE aspect. Notably, we observed the highest Landslide Number Density(LND) and Landslide Area Percentage(LAP) in the rhyolite region. Landslides were concentrated within approximately 4 km on either side of fault zones, with their size and frequency negatively correlated with distances to faults, roads, and river systems. Furthermore, under the influence of typhoons, regions with denser vegetation cover exhibited higher landslide density, reaching maximum values in shrubland areas. Despite increased attention given to potential modifiers of temperature-mortality associations, evidence for variations between different urban landscape characteristics remains limited. It is in this context that in this paper effect modifications of multiple urban landscape characteristics are explored under different heatwave definitions for different age groups and gender in Hong Kong, China. Daily meteorological data and heatwave-related mortality counts from 2008 to 2017 were collected from the Hong Kong Census and Statistics department, China. A case-only design was adopted, combined with logistic regression models to examine the modification effects of five urban landscape characteristics under six heatwave definitions. Stratified analyses were conducted to investigate age- and gender-specific effect modifications. It is found that individuals living in greener areas experienced lower levels of mortality during or immediately after heatwaves. In contrast, a higher building density and nighttime land surface temperature (LST) were associated with a higher heatwave-related mortality risk. Pronounced effect modifications of these urban landscape characteristics were observed under hotter and longer heatwaves, and in older adults (age ≥ 65 years) and males. The findings provide a scientific basis for policymakers and practitioners when considering measures for coping with hotter, longer, and more frequent heatwaves in the context of global climate change.

Reservoir simulation is known as perhaps the most widely used,accurate,and reliable method for field development in the petroleum *** integral part of a reliable reservoir simulation process is to consider robust and rigorous tuned EOS ***,EOS models are tuned iteratively through arduous workflows against experimental PVT ***,this comes with a number of drawbacks such as forcingly using weight factors,which upon alteration adversely affects the optimization *** objective of the current work is thus to introduce an auto-tune PVT matching tool using NSGA-II multi-objective *** order to illustrate the robustness of the presented technique,three different PVT samples are used,including two black-oil and one gas condensate *** utilize PengRobinson EOS during all the manual and auto-tuning *** of auto-tuned EOS-generated results with those of experimental and computed statistical error values for these samples clearly show that the proposed method is *** addition,the proposed method,contrary to the manual matching process,provides the engineer with several matched solutions,which allows them to select a match based on the engineering background to be best amenable to the problem at *** addition,the proposed technique is fast,and can output several solutions within less time compared to the traditional manual matching method.

Using AdS/CFT correspondence,we analyze the holographic Einstein images via the response function of the complex scalar field as a probe wave on an AdS Schwarzschild scalar-tensor-vector gravity(STVG)black hole(BH).We find that the amplitude of the response function||decreases with increasing values of coupling parameter a and increases with decreasing temperature *** frequencyωof the wave source also plays a significant role in wave periods;as we increase the values ofω,the periods of waves decrease,indicating that the total response function closely depends on the wave ***,we investigate the optical appearance of the holographic images of the BH in *** found that the holographic ring always appears with surrounding concentric stripes when the observer is located at the north pole,and an extremely bright ring appears when the observer is at the position of the photon sphere of the *** ring changes into a luminosity-deformed ring or a bright light spot as the observational angle *** corresponding brightness profiles show that the luminosity of the ring decreases and the shadow radius increases with increasing values of *** relation between temperature T and the inverse of the horizonh_e is discussed;T is small at the beginning of the horizon he and then increases as the horizon radius *** effect can be used to distinguish the STVG BH solution from other BH ***,these significant features are also reflected in the Einstein ring and corresponding brightness *** addition,we compare the results obtained by wave optics and geometric optics,which align well,implying that the holographic scheme adopted in this study is valid.

Objective:This study was conducted to explore the relationships among sedentary behavior(SB),electronic product addiction(EPA),and depression(D)in adolescents during the COVID-19 ***:A total of 604 adolescents(including 309 girls and 295 boys aged 12-18)were selected from Qufu City,Shandong Province,China for three rounds of *** model was constructed using AMOS 23.0 software,and cross-lagged analysis was ***:SB at T1 can significantly positively predict SB and EPA at T2(p<0.05).EPA at T1 can significantly positively predict SB and D at T2(p<0.05).Physical activity level and SB at T2 can significantly predict SB and EPA at T3(p<0.05).EPA at T2 can significantly predict SB,EPA,and D at T3(p<0.05).Conclusions:SB and EPA are predictive factors for ***,SB can significantly positively predict D and indirectly predict D through the mediating effect of EPA.
