BACKGROUND Congenital nephrogenic diabetes insipidus(CNDI)is a rare hereditary *** is associated with mutations in the arginine vasopressin receptor 2(AVPR2)gene and aquaporin 2(AQP2)gene,and approximately 270 different mutation sites have been reported for ***,new mutations and new manifestations are crucial to complement the clinical deficiencies in the diagnosis of this *** report a case of a novel AVPR2 gene mutation locus and a new clinical *** SUMMARY We describe the case of a 48-d-old boy who presented with recurrent fever and diarrhea 5 d after *** tests showed electrolyte disturbances and low urine specific gravity,and imaging tests showed no *** testing revealed a novel X-linked recessive missense mutation,c.283(exon 2)C>T(p.P95S).This mutation results in the substitution of a proline residue with a serine residue in the AVPR2 protein *** diagnosis of CNDI was confirmed based on the AVPR2 gene *** treatment strategy for this patient was divided into two stages,including physical cooling supplemented with appropriate amounts of water in the early stage and oral hydrochlorothiazide(1-2 mg/kg)after a clear *** follow-up of one and a half years,the patient gradually *** AVPR2 gene mutations in new loci and new clinical symptoms help clinicians understand this disease and shorten the diagnosis cycle.

Colon cancer-related anemia(CCRA)is mainly caused by systemic inflammation,intestinal bleeding,iron deficiency and chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression in colon ***,the best therapeutic schedule and related mechanism on CCRA were still *** on blood enrichment and anti-tumor effects of combined Danggui Buxue Decoction(DBD),Fe and rhEPO based on CCRA and gut microbiota modulation were conducted in this ***,CCRA model was successfully induced by subcutaneous inoculation of CT-26 and ***,rhEPO+DBD high dosage+Fe(EDF)and rhEPO+DBD high dosage(ED)groups had the best blood enrichment ***,EDF group also showed antitumor *** sequencing results of gut microbiota showed that compared to P group,the relative abundances of Lachnospiraceae and opportunistic pathogen(Odoribacter)in ED and EDF groups were ***,EDF also decreased the relative abundances of cancer-related bacteria(Helicobacter,Lactococcus,Alloprevotella)and imbalance-inducing bacteria(Escherichia-Shigella and Parabacteroides)and increased the relative abundances of butyrate-producing bacteria(Ruminococcaceae_UCG-014),however,ED showed the opposite effects to EDF,this might be the reason of the smaller tumor volume in EDF *** findings proposed the best treatment combination of DBD,rhEPO and Fe in CCRA and provided theoretical basis and literature reference for CCRA-induced intestinal flora disorder and the regulatory mechanism of EDF.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effects of electric acupoint stimulation on gastrointestinal hormones and motility among geriatric postoperative patients with gastrointestinal tumors,and to explore an efficient and noninvasive method for postoperative recovery of bowel ***:Forty patients were randomly and evenly assigned into a regular nursing care group(RNC) and an acupoint electric stimulation group(AES).Patients in the RNC group received regular nursing care and patients in the AES group received regular nursing care plus electric stimulation of *** serum levels of gastrin(GAS),motilin(MOT),and cholecystokinin(CCK),and an electrogastrogram(EGG) of all the patients were evaluated on the first,third,and fifth day after *** time to first flatus after surgery and the number of patients with side effects such as abdominal pain,abdominal distention,and diarrhea were ***:There were significant differences between the two groups in GAS,MOT,EGG,time to first flatus,abdominal pain,abdominal distention,and diarrhea(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Electric stimulation on acupoints could increase levels of GAS and MOT,promote the recovery of gastrointestinal functions,and decrease complications among postoperative senile patients with gastrointestinal tumors.

AIM:To retrospectively evaluate the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features of adult retrorectal tumors and compare with histopathologic ***:MRI features of 21 patients with preoperative suspicion of retrorectal tumors were analyzed based on the histopathological and clinical ***:Fourteen benign cystic lesions appeared hypointense on T1-weighted images,and hyperintense on T2-weighted images with regular peripheral *** or dermoid cysts were unilocular,and tailgut cysts were *** of intracystic intermediate signal intensity was observed in one case of tailgut cyst with a component of *** solid tumors were malignant lesions and showed heterogeneous intensity on *** adenocarcinomas showed high signal intensity on T2-weighted and mesh-like enhancing areas on fat-suppressed T2-weighted *** was a fistula between the mass and anus with an internal opening in mucinous adenocarcinomas arising from anal *** stromal tumors displayed low signal intensity on T1-weighted images,and intermediate to high signal intensity on T2-weighted *** necrosis could be seen as a high signal on T2-weighted ***:MRI is a helpful technique to define the extent of the retrorectal tumor and its relationship to the surrounding structures,and also to demonstrate possible complications so as to choose the best surgical approach.

Objective： To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus turtle-shell-partitioned moxibustion in treating diarrheapredominant irritable bowel syndrome（IBS-D）. Methods： Seventy-six patients were randomized into two groups： 39 cases in the observation group were intervened by acupuncture plus turtle-shell-partitioned moxibustion, while 37 cases in the control group by the same acupuncture treatment, once a day, 10 d as a treatment course, for 2 courses in total. The improvements of symptoms were observed at the end of the intervention in both groups. Results： The total effective rate was 89.7% in the observation group versus 67.6% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant（P〈0.05）. Conclusion： Acupuncture plus turtle-shell-partitioned moxibustion can significantly improve the symptoms of IBS-D, and can produce a more significant efficacy than acupuncture alone.

We present a novel in vitro model in which to investigate the efficacy of experimental drugs for the promotion of axon regeneration in the central nervous system. We co-cultured rat hippocampal neurons and cerebral cortical oligodendrocytes, and tested the co-culture system using a Nogo-66 receptor antagonist peptide（NEP1–40）, which promotes axonal growth. Primary cultured oligodendrocytes suppressed axonal growth in the rat hippocampus, but NEP1–40 stimulated axonal growth in the co-culture system. Our results confirm the validity of the neuron-oligodendrocyte co-culture system as an assay for the evaluation of drugs for axon regeneration in the central nervous system.

Control effect of structured skin care plan of integrated chinese and Western medicine in elderly patients with incontinence-associated dermatitis

Objective:The objective of this study is to explore the clinical effects of structured skin care plan of integrated chinese and Western medicine in intervening elderly patients with incontinence-associated dermatitis(IAD).Materials and Methods:Totally,66 elderly patients with IAD were randomly divided into the experiment group(32 cases)and control group(34 cases).The control group was given routine nursing care,while the experiment group was given a structured skin care *** observational course was 2 *** treatment efficiency and healing time were compared between the two ***:After 2-week intervention,the total effective rate of the experiment group was higher than that of the control group(97.1%vs.78.1%,X^(2)=3.913,P=0.048).The skin assessment tool score of the experiment group was lower than that of the control group(0.56±1.58 vs.1.75±2.46,Z=−−2.401,P=0.016).The healing time of the experiment group was shorter than that of the control group(7.29±4.76 days vs.10.69±6.36 days,Z=−2.280,P=0.026).Conclusion:The structured skin care plan of integrated chinese and Western medicine showed a good effect in elderly IAD patients,and provided a reference for clinical treatment and care of elderly patients with IAD.
