Background: The nutritional support after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) has not been well established due to the scarcity of clinical trials. To conduct international clinical trials in Asia, we performed the questionnaire survey to investigate the current standard of nutritional support after HSCT. Method: We sent the questionnaire to the physicians nominated by the Asia Pacific Blood and Marrow Transplantation (APBMT) members of each country/ region. Result: We received 15 responses from 7 different countries/regions. The target calorie amount is 1.0 - 1.3 × basal energy expenditure (BEE) in 11 institutes when partial parenteral nutrition is used. When total parenteral nutrition (TPN) is used, the target calorie amount is 1.0 - 1.3 × BEE in 9 institutes and 1.3 - 1.5 × BEE in 4 institutes. Lipid emulsion is routinely used in 12 institutes. Multivitamins and trace elements are routinely added to TPN used in most institutes. It is still uncommon to use the immunonutrition. Blood glucose levels are routinely monitored in all institutes, but the target range varies (110 in 2 institutes, 150 in 4 institutes, and 8 institutes). Conclusions: Basic nutritional support is similar in participating institutes. However, the target glucose level varies and the use of immunonutrition is rather rare. These points can be the theme of future clinical trials.

Antimicrobial properties of dental cements modified with zein-coated magnesium oxide nanoparticles

The aim of this study was to test the antimicrobial properties of dental cements modified with magnesium oxide(MgO)***-modified MgO nanoparticles(zMgO)in concentrations(0.0,0.3,0.5,and 1.0%)were mixed with dental cements(fuji II,Rely X Temp E,Ionoglass Cem,Es Temp NE,and System P link).Eight discs were fabricated from each zMgO-cement pair for a total of 32 specimens for each *** of the dental cements incorporating zMgO was done by X-ray Diffraction(XRD)and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy(FESEM).The antimicrobial properties of the mixtures were tested using direct contact and agar diffusion assays against Streptococcus mutans,Staphylococcus aureus,Enterococcus faecalis,and Candida *** was analyzed using two-way analysis of variance and LSD post hoc test at 0.05 significance *** spectra showed sharp peaks of zMgO indicating its high crystalline nature,while the amorphous dental cements with zMgO had broad *** analysis showed a uniform distribution of the zMgO nanoparticles in the *** were significant inhibition zone values associated with all concentrations of zMgO-cement mixtures tested compared to controls(pfuji *** density values were significantly lower in zMgO groups compared to controls for all *** effect was most prominent with Rely X against *** and *** cements containing zMgO showed significant antimicrobial properties that were dependent on the specific initial cement substrate.

From the viewpoints of both fuzzy system and fuzzy reasoning, a new fuzzy reasoning method which contains the α- triple I restriction method as its particular case is proposed. The previous α-triple I restriction principles are improved, and then the optimal restriction solutions of this new method are achieved, especially for seven familiar implications. As its special case, the corresponding results of α-triple I restriction method are obtained and improved. Lastly, it is found by examples that this new method is more reasonable than the α-triple I restriction method.

DFF-ResNet: An Insect Pest Recognition Model Based on Residual Networks

Insect pest control is considered as a significant factor in the yield of commercial ***,to avoid economic losses,we need a valid method for insect pest *** this paper,we proposed a feature fusion residual block to perform the insect pest recognition *** on the original residual block,we fused the feature from a previous layer between two 11 convolution layers in a residual signal branch to improve the capacity of the ***,we explored the contribution of each residual group to the model *** found that adding the residual blocks of earlier residual groups promotes the model performance significantly,which improves the capacity of generalization of the *** stacking the feature fusion residual block,we constructed the Deep Feature Fusion Residual Network(DFF-ResNet).To prove the validity and adaptivity of our approach,we constructed it with two common residual networks(Pre-ResNet and Wide Residual Network(WRN))and validated these models on the Canadian Institute For Advanced Research(CIFAR)and Street View House Number(SVHN)benchmark *** experimental results indicate that our models have a lower test error than those of baseline ***,we applied our models to recognize insect pests and obtained validity on the IP102 benchmark *** experimental results show that our models outperform the original ResNet and other state-of-the-art methods.

A Rapid Method for Isolating Single Cells from Apple Flesh

The identification,separation and analysis of individual living cells can be used to analyze the heterogeneity and operation mechanism of living *** study of fruit development is based on the extraction of active single *** this study,we investigated the effects of different enzymes and enzymatic hydrolysis times on the extraction of single cells from the‘fuji’apple(Malus×domestica Borkh.‘fuji’).The results showed that the extraction of single cells in apple flesh was a suitable method when 0.1%macerozyme was used and the enzymolysis time was 0.5 *** brightening agent VBL staining showed that the cell wall was intact,while fluorescein diacetate FDA and azo dye Evans blue staining indicated that the extracted single cells were *** extracted single cells could be further used as materials for protoplast extraction.

AIM： To identify the clinical and prognostic features of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC） aged 80 years or more. METHODS： A total of 1310 patients with HCC were included in this study. Ninety-one patients aged 80 years or more at the time of diagnosis of HCC were defined as the extremely elderly group. Two hundred and thirty-four patients aged 〉/ 50 years but less than 60 years were regarded as the non-elderly group. RESULTS： The sex ratio （male to female） was significantly lower in the extremely elderly group （0.90：1） than in the non-elderly group （3.9：1, P〈 0.001）. The positive rate for HBsAg was significantly lower in the extremely elderly group and the proportion of patients negative for HBsAg and HCVAb obviously increased in the extremely elderly group （P〈 0.001）. There were no significant differences in the following parameters： diameter and number of tumors, Child-Pugh grading, tumor staging, presence of portal thrombosis or ascites, and positive rate for HCVAb. Extremely elderly patients did not often receive surgical treatment （P 〈 0.001） and they were more likely to receive conservative treatment （P〈 0.01）. There were no significant differences in survival curves based on the Kaplan-Meier methods in comparison with the overall patients between the two groups. However, the survival curves were significantly worse in the extremely elderly patients with stage Ⅰ/Ⅱ, stage Ⅰ/Ⅱ and Child-Pugh grade A cirrhosis in comparison with the non-elderly group. The causes of death did not differ among the patients, and most cases died of liverrelated diseases even in the extremely elderly patients. CONCLUSION： In the patients with good liver functions and good performance status, aggressive treatment for HCC might improve the survival rate, even in extremely elderly patients.

Explicit Correlation Model of Multi-source Constraints for Re-design Parts with Complex Curved Surface

In precision machining of complex curved surface parts with high performance, geometry accuracy is not the only constraint, but the performance should also be met. Performance of this kind of parts is closely related to the geometrical and physical parameters, so the final actual size and shape are affected by multiple source constraints, such as geometry, physics, and performance. These parts are rather difficult to be manufactured and new manufacturing method according to performance requirement is urgently needed. Based on performance and manufacturing requirements for complex curved surface parts, a new classification method is proposed, which divided the complex curved surface parts into two categories： surface re-design complex curved surface parts with multi-source constraints（PRCS） and surface unique complex curved surface parts with pure geometric constraints（PUCS）. A correlation model is constructed between the performance and multi-source constraints for PRCS, which reveals the correlation between the performance and multi-source constraints. A re-design method is also developed. Through solving the correlation model of the typical paws performance-associated surface, the mapping relation between the performance-associated surface and the related removal amount is obtained. The explicit correlation model and the method for the corresponding related removal amount of the performance-associated surface are built based on the classification of surface re-design complex curved surface parts with multi-source constraints. Research results have been used in the actual processing of the typical parts such as radome, common bottom components, nozzle, et al., which shows improved efficiency and accuracy of the precision machining for the surface re-design parts with complex curved surface.

A sermon is a talk or advice given by clergy in religious *** sermonizing function,however,seems to have ceased to be an exclusive preserve of the *** paper investigates this pragmatic act of sermonizing in thirty-one (31) selected lyrics of Sikiru Ayinde Barrister (SAB) of the fuji fame in Nigeria’s music industry,using Jacob Mey’s (2001) Pragmatic Act theory and Kecskes’ (2010) Socio-Cognitive Approach.A surprising depth of sermonizing in various categories,including social,economic and political sermonizing acts were found paramount in his *** socio-economic sermonizing act relates to family matters,managing marital conflict,child training and upbringing,value of hard work and dedication to duty,family planning,and such other personal values as showing gratitude for being alive and well,honesty,patience,peacemaking,respect for all,leading a responsible life,helping people,resisting doing evil,wishing others well and cooperating in doing good,the ultimate good judgement of God,being prayerful,inevitability of death,destiny,*** political sermonizing act calls for unity,peace,progress,political will,creating an enabling environment by the government,protecting democratic norms and the rule of law,and the need to look inward for an all-round national *** paper concludes that SAB,beyond being an entertainer,is also a master sermonizer,as his sermonizing acts are deep,comprehensive,and revolve around building not only a complete,prosperous human figure but also a prosperous and peaceful *** lyrics,which qualify him as a Music Prophet,have something timeless,fresh and refreshing for all categories of people,particularly *** limitation to his lyrics is that they are originally produced in Yoruba language;the import of the sermonizing act,however,is universal.

Loading calcium fluorescent probes into protoplasts to detect calcium in the flesh tissue cells of Malus domestica

Cytosolic Ca^(2+)plays a key role in signal transduction in *** imaging is the most common approach to studying dynamic changes in the cytoplasmic Ca^(2+)***,we used mature‘fuji’apples(Malus pumila Mill.)to obtain viable protoplasts from flesh tissue cells by enzymatic hydrolysis;then,three small-molecule fluorescent probes(fluo-8/AM,fluo-4/AM,and rhod-2/AM)were loaded into the *** three Ca^(2+)fluorescent probes successfully entered the cytoplasm but did not enter the *** the Ca^(2+)chelator(EGTA)and Ca^(2+)channel blocker(La3+)reduced the fluorescence intensity in the *** calcium ionophore A23187 increased the fluorescence intensity in the cytoplasm at 5μmol/L but decreased it at 50μmol/***,A23187 reversed the fluorescence intensity in the cytoplasm,which was decreased by La3+.Ionomycin is also a calcium ionophore that can increase the fluorescence intensity of calcium in the *** results suggest that small-molecule Ca^(2+)fluorescent probes can be used to detect changes in cytosolic calcium levels in the cells of fruit flesh *** addition,the optimum concentration of fluo-8/AM was determined to be 5μmol/*** was the first time that protoplasts have been isolated from apple flesh tissue cells and small-molecule fluorescent probes have been used to detect calcium in the cytoplasm of flesh tissue *** study provides a new method to study calcium signal transduction in fruit flesh tissue.

Tracing the impact of stack configuration on interface resistances in reverse electrodialysis by in situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy

Reverse electrodialysis(RED)is an emerging membrane-based technology for the production of renewable energy from mixing waters with different ***,the impact of the stack configuration on the Ohmic and non-Ohmic resistances as well as the performance of RED were systematically studied by using in situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).Three different parameters(membrane type,number of cell pairs and spacer design)were *** Ohmic and non-Ohmic resistances were evaluated for RED stacks equipped with two types of commercial membranes(Type I and Type II)supplied by fujifilm Manufacturing Europe B.V:Type I fuji membranes displayed higher Ohmic and non-Ohmic resistances than Type II membranes,which was mainly attributed to the difference in fixed charge *** output power of the stack was observed to decrease with the increasing number of cell pairs mainly due to the increase in ionic shortcut *** the reduction in spacer thickness from 750 to 200μm,the permselectivity of membranes in the stack decreased from 0.86 to 0.79 whereas the energy efificiency losses increased from 31%to 49%.Overall,the output of the present study provides a basis for understanding the impact of stack design on internal losses during the scaling-up of RED.
