A theranostic agent for cancer therapy and imaging in the second nearinfrared window

Thera no stic nano particles are integrated systems useful for simulta neous diag nosis and imaging guided delivery of therapeutic drugs, with wide ranging pote ntial applicati ons in the clinic. Here we developed a thera no stic nan oparticle (~24 nm size by dynamic light scatteri ng) p-FE-PTX-FA based on polymeric micelle encapsulating an organic dye (FE) fluorescing in the 1,000-1,700 nm second near-infrared (NIR-Ⅱ) window and an an ti-ca ncer drug paclitaxel. Folic acid (FA) was conjugated to the nan oparticles to afford specific binding to molecular folate receptors on muri ne breast can cer 4T1 tumor cells. In vivo, the nan oparticles accumulated in 4T1 tumor through both passive and active targeting effect. Under an 808 nm laser excitation, fluorescence detection above 1,300 nm afforded a large Stokes shift, allowing targeted molecular imaging tumor with high signal to background ratios, reaching a high tumor to normal tissue signal ratio (T/NT) of (20.0±2.3). Further, 4T1 tumors on mice were completed eradicated by paclitaxel released from p-FE-PTA-FA within 20 days of the first injection. Pharmacokinetics and histology studies indicated p-FE-PTX-FA had no obvious toxic side effects to major organs. This represented the first NIR-Ⅱ theranostic age nt developed.

The GaInP/GaAs/Ge triple-junction tandem cells with a conversion efficiency of 27.1% were fabricated using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) technique. Temperature dependence of the spectral response measurements of the GaInP/GaAs/Ge tandem cell was performed by a quantum effi- ciency system at temperatures ranging from 25℃ to 160℃. The red-shift phenomena of the absorption limit for all subcells were observed with increasing temperature, which is dued to the energy gap nar-rowing with temperature. The short-circuit current densities (Jsc) of GaInP, GaAs and Ge subcells at room temperature calculated based on the spectral response data were 12.9, 13.7 and 17 mA/cm2, re- spectively. The temperature coefficient of Jsc for the tandem cell was determined to be 8.9 μA/(cm2·℃), and the corresponding temperature coefficient of the open-circuit voltage deduced from the se- ries-connected model was -6.27 mV/℃.

Passiflora is a plant genus known for its extremely distinctive and colorful flowers and a wide range of genome size ***,how genome characteristics are related to flower traits among Passiflora species remains poorly ***,we assembled a chromosome-scale genome of ***,which belongs to the same subgenus as the commercial passionfruit *** genome of *** is smaller(424.16 Mb)and contains fewer copies of long terminal repeat retrotransposons(LTR-RTs).The disparity in LTR-RTs is one of the main contributors to the differences in genome sizes between these two species and possibly in floral ***,we observed variation in insertion times and copy numbers of LTR-RTs across different transposable element(TE)***,by integrating transcriptomic data from 33 samples(eight floral organs and flower buds at three developmental stages)with phylogenomic and metabolomic data,we conducted an in-depth analysis of the expression,phylogeny,and copy number of MIKC-type MADS-box genes and identified essential biosynthetic genes responsible for flower color and scent from glandular bracts and other floral *** study pinpoints LRT-RTs as an important player in genome size variation in Passiflora species and provides insights into future genetic improvement.

Nitrogen(N) and phosphorus(P) are two essential mineral nutrients for plant growth,which are required in relative high amount in *** have evolved a series of strategies for coordinately acquiring and utilizing N and ***,physiological and molecular mechanisms underlying of N and P interactions remain largely unclear in soybean(Glycine max).In this study,interactions of N and P were demonstrated in soybean as reflected by significant increases of phosphate(Pi) concentration in both leaves and roots by N deficiency under Pi sufficient conditions.A total of four nitrogen limitation adaptation(NLA),encoding RING-type E3 ubiquitin ligase were subsequently identified in soybean *** them,transcription of Gm NLA1-1 and Gm NLA1-3 was decreased in soybean by N starvation under Pi sufficient conditions,not for Gm *** of all three Gm NLA1 members was able to increase Pi concentration regardless of the P and N availability in the growth medium,but decrease fresh weight under normal conditions in soybean hairy ***,comparted to changes in control lines at two N levels,N deficiency only resulted in a relatively higher increase of Pi concentration in Gm NLA1-1 or Gm NLA1-3 suppression lines,strongly indicating that Gm NLA1-1 and Gm NLA1-3 might regulate P homeostasis in soybean response to N *** together,our result suggest that redundant and diverse functions present in Gm NLA1 members for soybean coordinate responses to P and N availability,which mediate P homeostasis.

To improve the ability of detecting underwater targets under strong wideband interference environment,an efficient method of line spectrum extraction is proposed,which fully utilizes the feature of the target spectrum that the high intense and stable line spectrum is superimposed on the wide continuous *** method modifies the traditional beam forming algorithm by calculating and fusing the beam forming results at multi-frequency band and multi-azimuth interval,showing an excellent way to extract the line spectrum when the interference and the target are not in the same azimuth interval *** efficiency of the estimated azimuth variance and corresponding power of the line spectrum band depends on the line spectra ratio(LSR)of the line *** change laws of the output signal to noise ratio(SNR)with the LSR,the input SNR,the integration time and the filtering bandwidth of different algorithms bring the selection principle of the critical *** the basis,the detection gain of wideband energy integration and the narrowband line spectrum algorithm are theoretically *** simulation detection gain demonstrates a good match with the theoretical *** application conditions of all methods are verified by the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve and experimental data from Qiandao *** fact,combining the two methods for target detection reduces the missed detection *** proposed post-processing method in2-dimension with the Kalman filter in the time dimension and the background equalization algorithm in the azimuth dimension makes use of the strong correlation between adjacent frames,could further remove background fluctuation and improve the display effect.

This article focuses on the study of sediment transport during flood events in the Oued Nachef watershed that feeds the Mefrouche *** understand the sediment dynamics in this watershed,ANRH data on instantaneous water discharges and the respective concentrations of suspended particulate matter were *** enabled the selection of some of the largest flood events over a 24-year period in order to establish the log-log relationships between sediment load(concentration and flux)and water ***,the discharge-concentration relationships revealed hysteresis phenomena that enabled a flood typology to be established and classified into seven categories,thus showing very different transfer dynamics in relation to flood *** results showed that Category 6 floods presenting hysteresis in the form of a figure of eight exported almost 44%of the suspended particulate matter load while representing just 29%of the flow discharge.

The structural and optical characterization of cadmium-doped zinc oxide nanoparticles synthesized by precipitation method was studied.X-ray diffraction study confirmed the substitution of cadmium dopant without disturbing the basic wurtzite structure of zinc *** average crystalline size,lattice constants and unit cell volume also increased up to4%of cadmium *** gaps of the samples were determined from the ultraviolet?visible absorption spectrum as well as Tauc’s plot which infers that the energy gap decreases with the increase of cadmium *** transformation infrared spectrum confirms the cadmium dopant through peak shifting from485to563cm?*** spectrum also defines the cadmium dopant by intensity *** broad Raman peak at437cm?1indicates that the wurtzite structure of zinc oxide is weakened by5%cadmium *** emission scanning electron microscope study also confirms the existence of particles in nanometer size and it indentifies the microstructure transformation from nanoparticles to jasmine flower-like structure on5%cadmium doping.

Objective:This study aimed to examine(1)the independent effects of hypoxia on cognitive function and(2)the effects of exercise on cognition while under ***:Design:Systematic review with *** sources:PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,PsychInfo,and SPORTDiscus were *** criteria for selecting studies:randomized controlled trials and nonrandomized controlled studies that investigated the effects of chronic or acute exercise on cognition under hypoxia were considered(Aim 2),as were studies investigating the effects of hypoxia on cognition(Aim 1).Results:In total,18 studies met our inclusionary criteria for the systematic review,and 12 studies were *** to hypoxia impaired attentional ability(standardized mean difference(SMD)=-0.4),executive function(SMD=-0.18),and memory function(SMD=-0.26),but not information processing(SMD=0.27).Aggregated results indicated that performing exercise under a hypoxia setting had a significant effect on cognitive improvement(SMD=0.3,95%confidence interval:0.14-0.45,I^2=54%,pstics(e.g.,age,cognitive task type,exercise type,exercise intensity,training type,and hypoxia level)moderated the effects of hypoxia and exercise on cognitive ***:Exercise during exposure to hypoxia improves cognitive *** association appears to be moderated by individual and exercise/hypoxia-related characteristics.
