We demonstrate two self-injection locking extended cavity diode lasers(ECDLs)using resonant optical feedback independently from s-and p-polarizations of a monolithic folded Fabry–Perot confocal cavity(MFC).The relative frequency shift of adjacent axial modes of s resonance and p resonance of MFC is around 1.030 *** note measurements between the two ECDLs are performed and present a relative linewidth of 4 *** the help of a narrow-linewidth reference laser,the linewidth of s-component and p-component ECDLs are measured to be about 32 kHz and 40 kHz,respectively.

MotiVated by recent experimental realization of synthetic spin-orbit coupling in neutral quantum gases, we consider the quasi-two-dimensional rotating two-component Bose-Einstein condensates with anisotropic Rashba spin-orbit cou- pling subject to concentrically coupled annular potential. For experimentally feasible parameters, the rotating condensate exhibits a variety of rich ground state structures by varying the strengths of the spin-orbit coupling and rotational frequency. Moreover, the phase transitions between different ground state phases induced by the anisotropic spin-orbit coupling are obviously different from the isotropic one.

The pulsar timing residuals induced by gravitational waves from non- evolving single binary sources are affected by many parameters related to the relative positions of the pulsar and the gravitational wave sources. We will analyze the various effects due to different parameters. The standard deviations of the timing residuals will be calculated with a variable parameter fixing a set of other parameters. The or- bits of the binary sources will be generally assumed to be elliptical. The influences of different eccentricities on the pulsar timing residuals will also be studied in detail. We find that the effects of the related parameters are quite different, and some of them display certain regularities.

Caesium atomic fountain clock is a primary frequency standard,which realizes the duration of *** performance is mostly dominated by the frequency accuracy,and the C-field induced second-order Zeeman frequency shift is the major effect,which limits the accuracy *** applying a high-precision current supply and high-performance magnetic shieldings,the C-field stability has been improved *** order to achieve a uniform C-field,this paper proposes a doubly wound C-field solenoid,which compensates the radial magnetic field along the atomic flight region generated by the lead-out single wire and improves the accuracy evaluation of second-order Zeeman frequency *** on the stable and uniform C-field,we launch the selected atoms to different heights and record the magnetically sensitive Ramsey transition|F=3,mF=-1→|F=4,mF=-1 central frequency,obtaining this frequency shift as 131.03×10^(-15)and constructing the C-field profile(σ=0.15 n T).Meanwhile,during normal operation,we lock NTSC-F2 to the central frequency of the magnetically sensitive Ramsey transition|F=3,mF=-1→|F=4,mF=-1 fringe for ten consecutive days and record this frequency fluctuation in time *** first evaluation of second-order Zeeman frequency shift uncertainty is 0.10×10^(-15).The total deviation of the frequency fluctuation on the clock transition induced by the C-field instability is less than 2.6×10^(-17).Compared with NTSC-F1,NTSC-F2,there appears a significant improvement.

Highly nonlinear fibers(HNLFs) are crucial components for supercontinuum(SC) generation with laser ***, it is difficult to exactly estimate the structure of produced SC according to material parameters. To give a guideline for choosing and using HNLFs for erbium-fiber-based optical applications, we demonstrate SC generation in five types of HNLFs pumped by 1.57-μm laser solitons. All five fibers output a SC exceeding 1000 nm. Three different SC formation processes were observed in the experiment. By comparing optical parameters of these fibers, we find the zero dispersion wavelength(ZDW) of fiber has an important influence on the SC structure and energy distribution for a given pump source.

We present our experiment on magnetic field induced spectroscopy of the ^(1)S0–^(3)P0 transition of ^(88)Sr atoms with a 10 Hz linewidth *** ^(88)Sr atoms are cooled by two stage laser *** the second stage narrow line laser cooling,the temperature of the atoms is reduced to~3μ*** atoms are then loaded into an 813 nm one-dimensional optical lattice.A homemade 698 nm laser with 10 Hz linewidth and maximum intensity of more than 100 W/cm2 is used to probe the ^(88)Sr atoms in the *** means of a magnetic field of~1 mT and a probe laser with 50 ms pulse and~6 W/cm^(2) intensity,the Doppler free ^(88)Sr ^(1)S0–^(3)P0 transition spectrum with a linewidth of 208 Hz is obtained.

We demonstrate the coherent transfer of an ultrastable optical frequency reference over a 490 km noisy field fiber *** fiber-induced phase noise power spectrum density per-unit-length at 1 Hz offset frequency can reach up to 510 rad^(2)·Hz^(-1)·km^(-1),which is much higher than the fiber noise observed in previous *** extreme level of phase noise is mainly due to the fiber link laying underground along the *** phaselocked loop parameters are chosen to complete the active compensation of fiber noise by measuring the intensity fluctuation of additional phase noise and designing a homemade digital frequency division phase discriminator with a large phase detection range of 2^(12)π***,a noise suppression intensity of approximately 40 d B at1 Hz is obtained,with fractional frequency instability of 1.1×10^(-14 )at 1 s averaging time,and 3.7×10^(-19) at10000 *** transfer system will be used for remote atomic clock comparisons and optical frequency distribution over a long-distance communication network established in China.
