Nanomaterials provide an ideal platform for biomolecular display due to their dimensions approach the molecular scale,facilitating binding behavior akin to that observed in solution-based *** nanoprobes hold great promise as miniature detectives capable of detecting mi RNAs within ***,current nanoprobes face a challenge in achieving the required precision for accurate miRNA detection,particularly within the intricate confines of the cellular microenvironment,due to interference with biological autofluorescence,off-target effects,and a lack of spatiotemporal ***,we have designed a dual-stimuli responsive DNA tracker,synergistically utilizing specific intracellular cues and external triggers,which enables spatiotemporal-controlled and precise detection and imaging of miRNAs"on demand".The tracker,which combines zeolitic imidazolate framework-67(ZIF-67)and unique hairpin DNA structures,effectively anchored onto the ZIF-67 through electrostatic interactions,remains in a dormant state until activated by abundant cellular ATP,resulting in the release of the hairpin structures that include a PC linker incorporated into the loop *** irradiation triggers specific recognition of the target *** newly developed HP-PC-BT@ZIF-67 tracker demonstrates precise spatiotemporal mi RNA detection and exhibits excellent biocompatibility,enabling specific mi RNA recognition"on demand"within cancer *** research presents a reliable mi RNA imaging platform in the intricate cellular environment,opening up the possibilities for precise biomedical analysis and disease diagnosis.

Photothermal therapy(PTT)uses heat generated by photothermal agents to efficiently kill cancer cells in the least invasive *** nanoparticles,such as precious metals and carbon nanoparticles,have been extensively studied for their ability to convert near-infrared(NIR)light(700-900 nm)into heat[1].However,these nanoparticles are easily captured by the reticuloendothelial system,which severely limits their clinical applications[2].Despite targeted and stealth modifications,these issues remain unresolved;therefore,researchers are seeking more effective methods.

Conventional metasurfaces for terahertz polarization are limited to performing lateral(in the x-y plane)polarization control of the output *** such cases,the polarization state remains unchanged in each output plane along the propagation ***,we propose a terahertz polarization metasurface that operates longitudinally(i.e.,along the z-axis direction of propagation),which modifies the polarization state of each output plane throughout the propagation *** designed metasurface can control the phase delays of the left-handed and right-handed circularly polarized(LCP and RCP)components of the incident terahertz *** enables the LCP beam and RCP beam to converge to the z-axis through distinct paths,creating a Bessel *** proposed design achieved a linearly polarized terahertz wave including both LCP and RCP components with a precise phase differenceΔφat each point within a certain range along the ***Δφvaries as the propagation distance,resulting in a rotated linearly polarized output wave along the propagation path,while the rotation angle ranges from 0 toπ.Based on the variable property of longitudinal polarization,we propose an application concept of dielectric refractive index sensing,in which an additional medium is placed in the terahertz propagation path and the unknown refractive index is determined by detecting the rotation angle of the output polarization ***,the device might find potential applications in variable media excitation,terahertz communication,and terahertz radar ranging.

Artificial intelligence(AI) is significantly advancing precision medicine, particularly in the fields of immunogenomics, radiomics, and pathomics. In immunogenomics, AI can process vast amounts of genomic and multi-omic data to identify biomarkers associated with immunotherapy responses and disease prognosis, thus providing strong support for personalized treatments. In radiomics, AI can analyze high-dimensional features from computed tomography(CT), magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), and positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT) images to discover imaging biomarkers associated with tumor heterogeneity, treatment response, and disease progression, thereby enabling non-invasive, real-time assessments for personalized therapy. Pathomics leverages AI for deep analysis of digital pathology images, and can uncover subtle changes in tissue microenvironments, cellular characteristics, and morphological features, and offer unique insights into immunotherapy response prediction and biomarker discovery. These AI-driven technologies not only enhance the speed, accuracy, and robustness of biomarker discovery but also significantly improve the precision, personalization, and effectiveness of clinical treatments, and are driving a shift from empirical to precision medicine. Despite challenges such as data quality, model interpretability, integration of multi-modal data, and privacy protection, the ongoing advancements in AI, coupled with interdisciplinary collaboration, are poised to further enhance AI's roles in biomarker discovery and immunotherapy response prediction. These improvements are expected to lead to more accurate, personalized treatment strategies and ultimately better patient outcomes, marking a significant step forward in the evolution of precision medicine.

Several promising plasma biomarker proteins,such as amyloid-β(Aβ),tau,neurofilament light chain,and glial fibrillary acidic protein,are widely used for the diagnosis of neurodegenerative ***,little is known about the long-term stability of these biomarker proteins in plasma samples stored at-80°*** aimed to explore how storage time would affect the diagnostic accuracy of these biomarkers using a large *** samples from 229 cognitively unimpaired individuals,encompassing healthy controls and those experiencing subjective cognitive decline,as well as 99 patients with cognitive impairment,comprising those with mild cognitive impairment and dementia,were acquired from the Sino Longitudinal Study on Cognitive Decline *** samples were stored at-80°C for up to 6 years before being used in this *** results showed that plasma levels of Aβ42,Aβ40,neurofilament light chain,and glial fibrillary acidic protein were not significantly correlated with sample storage ***,the level of total tau showed a negative correlation with sample storage ***,in individuals without cognitive impairment,plasma levels of total protein and tau phosphorylated protein threonine 181(p-tau181)also showed a negative correlation with sample storage *** was not observed in individuals with cognitive ***,we speculate that the diagnostic accuracy of plasma p-tau181 and the p-tau181 to total tau ratio may be influenced by sample storage ***,caution is advised when using these plasma biomarkers for the identification of neurodegenerative diseases,such as Alzheimer's ***,in cohort studies,it is important to consider the impact of storage time on the overall results.

AIM:To identify topographic determinants of the anterior chamber angle(ACA)in patients with keratoconus(KCN).METHODS:Four hundred and ten eyes of 294 patients with KCN were recruited for this ***,complete ocular examinations were performed for all patients,including visual acuity measurement,refraction,and slit-lamp ***,all participants underwent corneal imaging by the Oculus Pentacam ***:The mean age of the participants was 32.40±8.52y(15-60y)and 69.5%of them were *** mean ACA was 38.47°±5.75°(range:14.40°to 56.50°)in the whole sample,38.24°±6.00°in males,and 38.98°±5.11°in females(P=0.447).The mean ACA was significantly different among different groups of cone morphology,as patients with nipple cones showed the lowest mean ***,there were statistically significant differences in the mean ACA among different groups of cone locations,with patients having central cones exhibiting the lowest mean ACA(Pdiagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
