Clinical Efficacy of Ultrasonic Medicinal Penetration in the Removal of Blood Stasis and Alleviation of Zhuyu Juanbi Formula in the Treatment of Peripheral Neuropathy Induced by Paclitaxel

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy and differences of the Zhuyu Juanbi formula delivered through ultrasound at Zusanli on patients with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) due to paclitaxel injection. Methods: A total of 72 breast cancer patients with CIPN were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group (36 cases) was treated with oral methylcobalamin plus ultrasonic medicine permeating Zhuyu Juanbi formulae, while the control group (36 cases) was treated with oral methylcobalamin alone. Following two 2 cycles of continuous treatment, the efficacy of peripheral neurotoxicity, TCM syndrome score, FACT/GOG-Ntx score, total neuropathy score, and safety indicators of gynecological cancer patients were observed in the two groups. Result: In the treatment of CIPN, the addition of ultrasonic medicine permeating Zhuyu Juanbi formulae was more effective than oral methylcobalamin alone in reducing peripheral neurotoxicity and improving the quality of life of patients. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P medicine permeating Zhuyu Juanbi formulae and methylcobalamin has been demonstrated to be an effective treatment for peripheral neurotoxicity in patients with PIPN. It has been shown to significantly improve the clinical symptoms of PIPN patients, improve the quality of life of patients, and have a good safety profile.

Bibliometric and visual analysis of post-stroke hemiplegia in the past 20 years

Efficacy and Safety of Bufei Jiedu Granules in Treating Multidrug-Resistant Pulmonary Tuberculosis:A Multi-center,Double-Blinded and Randomized Controlled Trial

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of Bufei Jiedu(BFJD) Granules as adjuvant therapy for patients with multidrug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis(MDR-PTB). Methods: A large-scale, multi-center, double-blinded, and randomized controlled trial was conducted in 18 sentinel hospitals in China from December 2012 to December 2016. A total of 312 MDR-PTB patients were randomly assigned to BFJD Granules or placebo groups(1:1) using a stratified randomization method, which both received the long-course chemotherapy regimen for 18 months(6 Am-Lfx-P-Z-Pto, 12 Lfx-P-Z-Pto). Meanwhile, patients in both groups also received BFJD Granules or placebo twice a day for a total of 18 months, respectively. The primary outcome was cure rate. The secondary outcomes included time to sputum-culture conversion, changes in lung cavities and quality of life(QoL) of patients. Adverse reactions were monitored during and after the trial. Results: A total of 216 cases completed the trial, 111 in the BFJD Granules group and 105 in the placebo group. BFJD Granules, as adjuvant treatment, increased the cure rate by 13.6% at the end of treatment, compared with the placebo(58.4% vs. 44.8%, P=0.02), and accelerated the median time to sputum-culture conversion(5 months vs. 11 months). The cavity closure rate of the BFJD Granules group(50.6%, 43/85) was higher than that of the placebo group(32.1%, 26/81;P=0.02) in patients who completed the treatment. At the end of the intensive treatment, according to the 36-item Short Form, the BFJD Granules significantly improved physical functioning, general health, and vitality of patients relative to the placebo group(all P<0.01). Overall, the death rates in the two groups were not significantly different;5.1%(8/156) in the BFJD Granules group and 2.6%(4/156) in the placebo group. Conclusions: Supplementing BFJD Granules with the long-course chemotherapy regimen significantly increased the cure rate and cavity closure rate, and rapidly improved QoL of pati

Human Notum(hNotum)inhibitors could be used for treating Wnt signalling-associated diseases including colorectal ***,two series of chalcone derivatives were designed and synthesized aiming to find selective and potent hNotum ***–activity relationship(SAR)studies showed that 2-methoxyl and 5-bromine substitutions on A-ring significantly enhanced anti-hNotum effect,while 4’-ethoxyl and 3’-alkyl substitutions on B-ring were beneficial for hNotum *** all tested chalcones,B11 displayed the most potent anti-Notum effect(IC_(50)=3.6 nmol/L),good selectivity,excellent chemical stability and suitable metabolic *** investigations showed that B11 acted as a competitive inhibitor of hNotum,while this agent(5μmol/L)significantly weaken the migration abilities of colorectal cancer ***,this study deciphers the SARs of chalcones as hNotum inhibitors and reports a novel and potent hNotum inhibitor with the anti-migration effect on colorectal cancer cells,which offers a promising lead compound to develop novel anti-cancer agents.

Global trend of nondrug and nonsedativehypnotic treatment forinsomnia: a bibliometric study

OBJECTIVE: To present a bibliometric analysis of global scientific publications on the nondrug and nonsedative hypnotic treatment of insomnia with regard to influential institutions, publications, countries, research hotspots,trends, and frontiers. METHODS: A literature review was conducted by searching the Web of Science Core Collection(Wo SCC) and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) databases to identify all publications related to the nondrug and nonsedative hypnotic treatment of insomnia from 2000 to 2021. Eligible publications were reviewed, including annual publication increments, citation analyses, international collaborations, and keyword analyses. The data were analysed using Cite Space(vers5.8.R3, 6.1.R2 and 6.1.6, College of Computing and Informatics, Philadelphia, PA, USA) and virtualized by knowledge maps. RESULTS:In total, 9832 publications were included in this analysis. The results from the WoSCC showed that the United States of America(Count = 2268, 40.33%), Stanford University(Count = 141, 2.51%), and the United States Department of Health and Human Services were the leading country, institute, and funding agency regarding the number of publications, respectively. “Cognitive-behavioural therapy” was the most popular research topic generated from the cocited reference. The most frequently co-occurring keywords were insomnia, cognitive behavioural therapy, disorder, depression, quality of life, Meta-analysis, older adult, sleep, prevalence and efficacy, while keywords including clinical practice guideline, guideline, and Tai Chi remained popular after 2021. Circadian rhythm was the strongest research frontier for 2000-2021. In China, Chengdu University of traditional chinese medicine(Count = 69, 4.79%) was the most productive institute in this field. To the Editor:Atherosclerosis is the main pathological feature of ischemic stroke,which remains a major cause of disability and death worldwide.[1]Vulnerable plaque,was characterized by ulceration,platelet activation,and thrombosis,potentially leading to emboli detachment and stroke.[2]Vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs),a major cellular component within lesions,can display pleiotropic phenotypes,including osteogenic or inammatory phenotypes,which may be harmful in maintaining advanced atherosclerotic plaque stability.[3]The modulation of the function of VSMCs,including proliferation,migration,and synthesizing the extracellular matrix(ECM)and matrix metalloproteinase(MMP),is thought to markedly affect plaque formation and vulnerability.[4]Therefore,it is of considerable signicance to drive harmful VSMCs toward VSMCs having benecial properties to strengthen plaque stability and retard plaque development.
