Construction of a growth model in the green alga Tetraselmis subcordiformis using a response surface approach

The green alga Tetraselmis subcordiformis has been widely used as a quality live food for aquaculture species, and also has been studied as a model organism for the photo-biological production of hydrogen. We attempted to quantify the relationship between T. subcordiformis specific growth rate （SGR） and three important environmental factors （temperature, salinity, and pH） using the central composite design and response surface method under laboratory conditions. The results showed that the linear effects of temperature and salinity were significant （P〈0.05）, and they were equally important in impacting T. subcordiformis specific growth; the linear effect of pH was not significant （P〉0.05）; the interactive effect of temperature and pH was significant （P〈0.05）, whereas the temperature ~ salinity and salinity x pH interactions were not significant （P〉0.05）; all of the quadratic effects of the three factors were significant （P〈0.05）. A model equation for specific growth rate with the three factors was established, with the unadjusted and predictive R2 as high as 0.990 and 0.921, respectively, suggesting that the model was a very good fit and that it could be used to predict SGR. Through optimizing the reliable model, an optimal 3-factor combination of 25~C/35 of salinity/pH 7.9 was obtained, at which the maximum specific growth rate （0.65） was recorded, with a desirability value of 93.8%. These experimental results could serve as guidelines for increasing T. subcordiformis production efficiency.

Jane Eyre has been the focus of numerous critics and scholars since its publication in 1847 and they have made a great contribution to the study of Jane Eyre, exploring it from different perspectives. Most of critics and readers regard Jane Eyre as an independent and brave feminism fighter to challenge the tradition in Victorian period while they tend to pay less attention to the invisible side of Jane Eyre. Although lead-based perovskite solar cells have achieved more than 25%power conversion efficiency,the toxicity of lead and instability are still urgent problems faced in industrial ***-free halide double perovskite(DP)materials are promising candidates to resolve these *** on the density functional theory,we explore the geometric stability,thermodynamic stability,mechanical stability,electronic structures,and optical properties of theCs_(2)B 0BiI_(6)(B 0=Li,Na and K)DP *** analyzing the tolerance factor and octahedral factor,we find the geometric stabilities ofCs_(2)NaBiI_(6) andCs_(2)KBiI_(6) DPs are better thanCs_(2)LiBiI_(6).By calculating the total energy,formation energy and decomposition energy,we propose that the most favorable structure ofCs_(2)B 0BiI_(6) is the orthorhombic phase,andCs_(2)LiBiI_(6) is less stable relative to the other two counterparts from an energetic *** stability evaluations reveal that the orthorhombicCs_(2)LiBiI_(6) material is less stable relative to the isostructuralCs_(2)NaBiI_(6) andCs_(2)KBiI_(6) *** mechanical property calculations indicate that theCs_(2)B 0BiI_(6) DPs possess good ductility,which can be used as flexible *** structures and optical property calculations show that the orthorhombicCs_(2)B 0BiI_(6) DPs have suitable band gap values,weaker exciton binding energies,and excellent optical absorption performance in the visible-light *** on the above comprehensive assessments,we can conclude that the orthorhombic Cs_(2)NaBiI_(6) and Cs_(2)KBiI_(6) DPs with good stability are promising candidates for solar cell applications.

Since the process writing was raised in the L2 writing in 1970s, the feedback has been an important part of teaching. A range of researchers have investigated the effect of different types of error feedback to find whether the feedback can help L2 writers improve the accuracy of their writing. Similar to the previously discussed question, they have also reached rather controversial conclusions. Most often, these studies have categorized corrective feedback as either direct or indirect. To explore the effects of corrective feedback in L2 writing, the paper investigated the types of feedback given to 30 college students of tianhe college in guangdong province. The study improved that correction feedback can improve accuracy in student writing.

The existence and stability of multipeaked solitons are investigated in a parity-time symmetric superlattice with dual periods under both self-focusing and self-defocusing nonlinearity. For self-defocusing nonlinearity, dipole solitons with low power and all the odd-peak solitons can exist stably in the first gap, while dipole solitons with high power and even-peak （except two） solitons are unstable. For self-focusing nonlinearity, even-peak out-of-phase solitons can propagate stably in the infinite gap, while odd-peak in-phase solitons are unstable.
