Background:Cerebrovascular disease(CVD)ranks among the foremost factors responsible for mortality on a global *** mortality patterns of CVDs and temporal trends in China need to be well-illustrated and ***:We collected mortality data on patients with CVD from Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Disease Surveillance Points(CDC-DSP)*** mortality of CVD in 2020 was described by age,sex,residence,and *** temporal trend from 2013 to 2019 was evaluated using joinpoint regression,and estimated rates of decline were extrapolated until 2030 using time series ***:In 2019,the age-standardized mortality in China(ASMRC)per 100,000 individuals was *** ASMRC for males(137.7/10^(5))and rural areas(123.0/10^(5))were both higher when stratified by gender and urban/rural *** central region had the highest mortality(126.5/10^(5)),the western region had a slightly lower mortality(123.5/10^(5)),and the eastern region had the lowest mortality(97.3/10^(5)).The age-specific mortality showed an accelerated upward trend from aged 55-59 years,with maximum mortality observed in individuals over 85 years of *** age-standardized mortality of CVD decreased by 2.43%(95%confidence interval,1.02-3.81%)annually from 2013 to ***,the age-specific mortality of CVD increased from 2013 to 2019 for the age group of over 85 *** 2020,both the absolute number of CVD cases and the crude mortality of CVD have increased compared to their values in *** estimated total deaths due to CVD were estimated to reach 2.3 million in 2025 and 2.4 million in ***:The heightened focus on the burden of CVD among males,rural areas,the central and western of China,and individuals aged 75 years and above has emerged as a pivotal determinant in further decreasing mortalities,consequently presenting novel challenges to strategies for disease prevention and control.

Efficacy of Daoyin combined with lower limb robot as a comprehensive rehabilitation intervention for stroke patients: a randomized controlled trial

OBJECTIVE: To assess the effectiveness of a comprehensive rehabilitation approach combining Traditional Chinese Medicine Daoyin with lower limb robotics during the recovery phase of stroke ***: Stroke patients meeting the specified criteria were randomly assigned to one of four groups using a random number table: Control group, Daoyin group, lower limb robot group(LLR group), and Daoyin and lower limb robot group(DLLR group). Each group received distinct treatments based on conventional rehabilitation *** treatment duration spanned two weeks with two days of rest per week. Pre-and post-intervention assessments included various scales: Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA),Berg balance scale(BBS), Barthel index(BI), Fatigue Scale-14(FS-14), Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA), and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD).RESULTS: Statistically significant differences were observed in the lower limb function measured by FAM between the Control group(15 ± 5) and the DLLR group(18 ± 5)(P = 0.049). In the Barthel index, a statistically significant difference was noted between the Control group(54 ± 18) and the DLLR group(64 ± 11)(P = 0.041).Additionally, significant differences were found in the Berg balance scale between the Control group(21 ± 10)and the DLLR group(27 ± 8)(P = 0.024), as well as between the Control group(21 ± 10) and the LLR group(26 ± 10)(P = 0.048).CONCLUSION: The findings of this study suggest that the combined use of Daoyin and robotics not only enhances motor function in stroke patients but also has a positive impact on fatigue, sleep quality, and mood. This approach may offer a more effective rehabilitation strategy for stroke patients.

The long-term safety and effectiveness of once-daily tadalafil is crucial,but limited data are available in Chinese patients witherectile dysfunction(ED).In this post-marketing,multicenter,randomized,open-label trial with 2-year follow-up,635 ED caseswere randomized to receive daily oral tadalafil 2.5 mg or 5 mg for 3 months,of whom 580 continued once-daily tadalafil 5 mg for21 ***-emergent adverse events in the 12-month and 24-month period were similar,with the most common beingviral upper respiratory tract infection,upper respiratory tract infection,and *** improvement from baseline inthe International Index of Erectile Function-Erectile Function(IIEF-EF)score was detected at month 12(least squares mean[LSM]change:7.9,95%confidence interval[CI]:7.5–8.4,P<0.001)and was maintained to month 24(LSM change:8.6,95%CI:8.1–9.0,P<0.001).The proportions of patients regaining normal erectile function(IIEF-EF score≥26)were 43.7%and 48.0%at months 12 and 24,*** Assessment Questionnaire results showed improved erection function in 97.5%ofpatients and improved ability to engage in sexual activity in 95.9%of patients at month 12;these values were 96.1%and 95.0%at month 24,*** quality of sexual life score based on the Sexual Life Quality Questionnaire(SLQQ)was increased by52.2%at month 12 and by 55.3%at month 24(both P<0.001).The treatment satisfaction score determined by SLQQ(mean±standard deviation)was 62.4±21.0 at month 12 versus 65.9±20.2 at month ***-year daily application of tadalafil 5mg in Chinese men with ED showed a favorable safety profile and durable improvement in sexual performance and satisfaction.

OBJECTIVES To investigate whether negative remodeling(NR) detected by intravascular ultrasound(IVUS) of the side branch ostium(SBO) would affect in-stent neointimal hyperplasia(NIH) at the one-year follow-up and the clinical outcome of target lesion failure(TLF) at the long-term follow-up for patients with left main bifurcation(LMb) lesions treated with a two-stent *** A total of 328 patients with de novo true complex LMb lesions who underwent a 2-stent strategy of percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) treatment guided by IVUS were enrolled in this study. We divided the study into two phases. Of all the patients, 48 patients who had complete IVUS detection pre-and post-PCI and at the 1-year follow-up were enrolled in phase Ⅰ analysis, which aimed to analyze the correlation between NR and in-stent NIH at SBO at the 1-year follow-up. If the correlation was confirmed, the cutoff value of the remodeling index(RI) for predicting NIH ≥ 50% was analyzed next. The phase Ⅱ analysis focused on the incidence of TLF as the primary endpoint at the 1-to 5-year follow-up for all 328 patients by grouping based on the cutoff value of *** In phase I: according to the results of a binary logistic regression analysis and receiver operating characteristic(ROC) analysis, the RI cutoff value predicting percent NIH ≥ 50% was 0.85 based on the ROC curve analysis, with a sensitivity of 85.7%, a specificity of 88.3%, and an AUC of 0.893(0.778, 1.000), P = 0.002. Artificial intelligence-assisted repair of peripheral nerve injury: a new research hotspot and associated challenges

Artificial intelligence can be indirectly applied to the repair of peripheral nerve ***,it can be used to analyze and process data regarding peripheral nerve injury and repair,while study findings on peripheral nerve injury and repair can provide valuable data to enrich artificial intelligence *** investigate advances in the use of artificial intelligence in the diagnosis,rehabilitation,and scientific examination of peripheral nerve injury,we used CiteSpace and VOSviewer software to analyze the relevant literature included in the Web of Science from 1994–*** identified the following research hotspots in peripheral nerve injury and repair:(1)diagnosis,classification,and prognostic assessment of peripheral nerve injury using neuroimaging and artificial intelligence techniques,such as corneal confocal microscopy and coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy;(2)motion control and rehabilitation following peripheral nerve injury using artificial neural networks and machine learning algorithms,such as wearable devices and assisted wheelchair systems;(3)improving the accuracy and effectiveness of peripheral nerve electrical stimulation therapy using artificial intelligence techniques combined with deep learning,such as implantable peripheral nerve interfaces;(4)the application of artificial intelligence technology to brain-machine interfaces for disabled patients and those with reduced mobility,enabling them to control devices such as networked hand prostheses;(5)artificial intelligence robots that can replace doctors in certain procedures during surgery or rehabilitation,thereby reducing surgical risk and complications,and facilitating postoperative *** artificial intelligence has shown many benefits and potential applications in peripheral nerve injury and repair,there are some limitations to this technology,such as the consequences of missing or imbalanced data,low data accuracy and reproducibility,and ethical issues(e.g.,privac

Non-electrocardiography-gated dual-energy cardiac CT angiography for assessment of left atrial appendage thrombus

Objective:To explore the diagnosis value of a low dose,dual-energy cardiac computed tomography angiography(CTA)with non-electrocardiography-gated(non-ECG-gated)in detecting left atrial appendage(IAA)***:Consecutive patients with atrial fibrillation who underwent cardiac CTA protocol(dual-energy scan for arterial phase and conventional scan for delayed phase)were prospectively *** lesions were proved by clinical comprehensive diagnosis,the final study included 18 cases with LAA thrombus and 48 cases with circulatory *** parameters derived from dual-energy images were measured for the LAA lesions,including the conventional CT attenuation value(CT value),iodine concentration(IC),normalized iodine concentration(NIC),effective atomic number values(Zeff)and energy spectrum curve slope(Slope).The differences between LAA thrombus group and circulatory stasis group were compared by independent sample t-test or Wilcoxon rank sum test regarding to the normality *** diagnosis performance of the dual-energy parameters was assessed using receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis and area under curve(AUC).Results:All the dual-energy parameters were demonstrated significantly difference between LAA thrombus and circulatory stasis group(P<0.05),and showed better diagnostic performance than the conventional CT *** analysis revealed IC was the most predictive parameter with AUC equal to *** radiation dose in the arterial phase was(2.640.66)mSv.
