Nanoparticles(NPs)have gained significant attention as a functional material due to their ability to effectively enhance pressure reduction in injection processes in ultra-low permeability *** are typically studied in controlled laboratory conditions,and their behavior in real-world,complex environments such as ultra-low permeability reservoirs,is not well understood due to the limited scope of their *** study investigates the efficacy and underlying mechanisms of NPs in decreasing injection pressure under various injection conditions(25—85℃,10—25 MPa).The results reveal that under optimal injection conditions,NPs effectively reduce injection pressure by a maximum of 22.77%in core *** pressure reduction rate is found to be positively correlated with oil saturation and permeability,and negatively correlated with temperature and ***,particle image velocimetry(PIV)experiments(25℃,atmospheric pressure)indicate that the pressure reduction is achieved by NPs through the reduction of wall shear resistance and wettability *** work has important implications for the design of water injection strategies in ultra-low permeability reservoirs.

Ice-covered Environmental Adaptability Assessment for Overhead Contact System in High-speed Railways

High-speed trains rely on pantograph-catenary systems(PCSs)to collect electrical energy from power ***,the dynamic interaction between the pantograph and the catenary system may become mismatched once ice accumulates on the overhead *** frequent arcing may occur within the PCS during train operation,posing an unpredictable threat to operational ***,it is crucial to evaluate the ability of overhead contact system(OCS)to withstand ice-covered variability during line desgin.A new strategy is proposed to evaluate the adaptive performance of an OCS under various icing ***,a dynamic model considering icing conditions is constructed to simulate the interaction within the *** different OCS structures with various icing thicknesses are *** parameters of the contact force within the PCS and proportion of high-possibility arcing moments are *** dependence of the contact force on the icing thickness and pantograph displacement has been illustrated in the form of cloud ***,the OCS sensitivity coefficient is calculated,and ice-covered environmental adaptability assessments for the five different OCS structures are compared.

Unraveling engineering disturbance effects on deformation in red-bed mudstone railway cuttings:incorporating crack-facilitated moisture diffusion

Red-bed mudstone, prevalent in southwest China, poses a formidable challenge due to its hydrophilic clay minerals, resulting in expansion, deformation, and cracking upon exposure to moisture. This study addresses uplift deformation disasters in high-speed railways by employing a moisture diffusion-deformation-fracture coupling model based on the finite-discrete element method(FDEM). The model integrates the influence of cracks on moisture diffusion. The investigation into various excavation depths reveals a direct correlation between depth and the formation of tensile cracks at the bottom of the railway cutting. These cracks expedite moisture migration, significantly impacting the temporal and spatial evolution of the moisture field. Additionally, crack expansion dominates hygroscopic deformation, with the lateral coordinate of the crack zone determining peak vertical displacement. Furthermore, key factors influencing deformation in railway cuttings, including the swelling factor and initial moisture content at the bottom of the cutting, are explored. The number of tensile and shear cracks increases with greater excavation depth, particularly concerning shear cracks. Higher swelling factors and initial moisture contents result in an increased total number of cracks, predominantly shear cracks. Numerical calculations provide valuable insights, offering a scientific foundation and directional guidance for the precise prevention, control, prediction, and comprehensive treatment of mudstone-related issues in high-speed railways.

Repairing Achilles tendon has emerged as a long-standing challenge in the orthopaedic *** suture is the gold standard for re-attaching and repairing the fractured Achilles tendons in clinical surgeries,it is still subjected to numerous adverse side-effects,including chronic inflammatory,tendon tissue re-rupture,scar formation,and post-surgical peritendinous *** this work,we develop a class of hydrogel bioadhesives with tailored nanoscale phase separation for Achilles tendon *** address the existing limitations of sutures,our hydrogel bioadhesives encompass three core functionalities:(i)instant and tough adhesion to Achilles tendon tissues,(ii)extraordinary long-term adhesion robustness under wet and dynamic in vivo conditions,and(iii)anti-postsurgical peritendinous *** our hydrogel bioadhesives with sutures,such kind of integrated approach enables a conformable yet robust biointerface with the tendon tissues,and prevents the fibroblast migration and formation of connective tissues,thus facilitating the tendon *** hydrogel bioadhesives reported here open up new opportunities for the repairing of fractured Achilles tendons in diverse and complicated clinical scenarios.

Data-driven real-time prediction for attitude and position of super-large diameter shield using a hybrid deep learning approach

The presented research introduces a novel hybrid deep learning approach for the dynamic prediction of the attitude and position of super-large diameter shields-a critical consideration for construction safety and tunnel lining *** study proposes a hybrid deep learning approach for predicting dynamic attitude and position prediction of super-large diameter *** approach consists of principal component analysis(PCA)and temporal convolutional network(TCN).The former is used for employing feature level fusion based on features of the shield data to reduce uncertainty,improve accuracy and the data effect,and 9 sets of required principal component characteristic data are *** latter is adopted to process sequence data in predicting the dynamic attitude and position for the advantages and potential of convolution *** approach’s effectiveness is exemplified using data from a tunnel construction project in *** obtained results show remarkable accuracy in predicting the global attitude and position,with an average error ratio of less than 2 mm on four shield outputs in 97.30%of ***,the approach displays strong performance in accurately predicting sudden fluctuations in shield attitude and position,with an average prediction accuracy of 89.68%.The proposed hybrid model demonstrates superiority over TCN,long short-term memory(LSTM),and recurrent neural network(RNN)in multiple *** additive exPlanations(SHAP)analysis is also performed to investigate the significance of different data features in the prediction *** study provides a real-time warning for the shield driver to adjust the attitude and position of super-large diameter shields.

A review of key technologies for integration of electric vehicle-charging station-transportation network-grid based on bibliometric analysis

Electric vehicles (EVs) are instrumental in balancing the operation of the transportation networks and grids for the dual attribute of power and traffic load. Current research community has gained significant efforts on key technologies for the integration of electric vehicle-charging station-transportation network-grid (VSNGI). Therefore， a synthetic review on this domain is needed. In this context， the VSNGI research included in the Web of Science (WOS) was synthetically analyzed using bibliometric methods， the software VOSviewer and CiteSpace. The results show that the internationally interested VSNGI research is in a period of rapid development in terms of publication volume， national， institutional， and journal performance. The cited literature provided work accumulation in five aspects: “the impact and control of EVs on the grid”， “design of EV charging stations”， “integration of charging stations and grids”， “integration of charging stations and transportation networks” and “coupling of the transportation network and grid”. Then， the latest progress was summarized in four aspects: “characterization methods of spatiotemporal features of road network demand and grid load”， “SNG collaborative layout technology”， “VSN orderly guidance technology”， and “VNG interactive response technology”. Lastly， the problems and prospects in the VSNGI research were discussed. The joint efforts of researchers from multiple disciplines are required by the development of the VSNGI field. The VSNGI research will be of crucial significance in the transformation of the transportation field.

In view of the problems of inconsistent data semantics,inconsistent data formats,and difficult data quality assurance between the railway engineering design phase and the construction and operation phase,as well as the difficulty in fully realizing the value of design results,this paper proposes a design and implementation scheme for a railway engineering collaborative design *** railway engineering collaborative design platform mainly includes functional modules such as metadata management,design collaboration,design delivery management,model component library,model rendering services,and Building Information Modeling(BIM)application *** on this,research is conducted on multi-disciplinary parameterized collaborative design technology for railway engineering,infrastructure data management and delivery technology,and design multi-source data fusion and application *** railway engineering collaborative design platform is compared with other railway design software to further validate its advantages and advanced *** platform has been widely applied in multiple railway construction projects,greatly improving the design and project management efficiency.
