Response Mechanisms to Flooding Stress in Mulberry Revealed by Multi-Omics Analysis

Abiotic stress,including flooding,seriously affects the normal growth and development of ***(Morus alba),a species known for its flood resistance,is cultivated worldwide for economic *** transcriptomic analysis has identified numerous differentially expressed genes(DEGs)involved in submergence tolerance in mulberry ***,a comprehensive analyses of metabolite types and changes under flooding stress in mulberry remain unreported.A non-targeted metabolomic analysis utilizing liquid chromatographytandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS)was conducted to further investigate the effects of flooding stress on mulberry.A total of 1,169 metabolites were identified,with 331 differentially accumulated metabolites(DAMs)exhibiting up-regulation in response to flooding stress and 314 displaying *** enrichment analysis identified significant modifications in many metabolic pathways due to flooding stress,including amino acid biosynthesis and metabolism and flavonoid *** and DEGs are significantly enriched in the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathways for amino acid,phenylpropanoid and flavonoid ***,metabolites such as methyl jasmonate,sucrose,and D-mannose 6-phosphate accumulated in mulberry leaves post-flooding ***,genes and metabolites associated with these KEGG pathways are likely to exert a significant influence on mulberry flood *** study makes a substantial contribution to the comprehension of the underlying mechanisms implicated in the adaptation of mulberry plants to submergence.

A Catalog of ^(13)CO Clumps from the MWISP in l=10°–20°

In this study, we present a catalog of molecular clumps extracted from ^(13)CO(J=1-0) emission data of the Milky Way Imaging Scroll Painting(MWISP) project. The data covers the inner Milky Way within the longitude range10°≤l≤20° and the latitude strip of |b|≤ 5°. 25. The workflow for the extraction of clumps, namely Facet-SS-3DClump, consists of two parts: the identification of clump candidates and their verification. First, Facet-SS-3DClump employs FacetClumps to identify clump candidates. Subsequently, high-confidence clumps are obtained by cross-matching with the clumps detected by other algorithms, such as dendrogram. Second, these high-confidence clumps are used as prior knowledge to train a semi-supervised deep clustering approach, SS-3D-Clump, which is applied to verify clump candidates detected by FacetClumps, providing confidence levels for the molecular clumps. Finally, the catalog comprising 18,757 molecular clumps was obtained using Facet-SS-3D-Clump, and the catalog is 90% complete above 37 K km s^(-1). We observe a significant deviation of the mean Galactic latitude for clumps within |b|≤ 2° from the midplane, with b=-0°.110. We found that 82.3% of the dust clumps correspond to ^(13)CO clumps by matching with Herschel infrared dust clumps. In the future, Facet-SS-3D-Clump will be applied to detect ^(13)CO clumps in the entire MWISP data.

Adsorption of trichlorphon on phyllosilicate minerals:Effect of low-molecular-weight organic acids

The use of trichlorphon in large quantities causes a large number of organic pollutants to enter water, sediments, and soils. Phyllosilicate minerals are considered effective adsorbents for organic pollutants. However, the adsorption behavior of organic pollutants on soil minerals affected by low-molecular-weight organic acids(LMWOAs) is not fully understood. In this study, the effect of LMWOAs on the adsorption behavior of trichlorphon on phyllosilicate minerals was investigated using a combination of adsorption measurements and molecular spectroscopic techniques(attenuated total reflection-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)). The adsorption of trichlorphon onto kaolinite(KAO) and montmorillonite(MON) was suppressed by increasing pH, indicating that electrostatic interaction played a key role in adsorption, especially at low pH. In the presence of citric acid(CA), there was an obvious promotion of trichlorphon adsorption on KAO and MON. In the presence of oxalic acid(OA), the adsorption of trichlorphon on KAO was promoted, whereas the adsorption on MON was inhibited, especially at pH 4.0. The presence of CA and OA increased the adsorption by increasing the exposure of hydrophobic sites of KAO and MON. The results from ATR-FTIR and XPS also indicated that the hydrophobic Si–O sites of phyllosilicate minerals were the preferred adsorption sites for trichlorphon in the presence of CA and OA, probably driven by the hydrophobic effect. However, the weak effect of OA on MON caused an increase in the electrostatic repulsion between MON and trichlorphon molecules, thus inhibiting adsorption. This study is significant for a deeper understanding of self-purification of soil and sediment systems in the presence of organic pollutants.

Sulfate adsorption is one of the factors that cause the poisoning of catalyst in the low-temperature NH_(3) selective catalytic reduction reaction(NH_(3)-SCR).In this paper,by controlling the co-adsorption time of SO_(2) and O_(2) at 150℃,a range of sulfated MnCeOx catalysts with different contents of metal sulfate species were prepared to reveal the influence of metal sulfate species content on the catalytic performances and reaction mechanisms at low *** catalytic activity below 250℃rapidly decreases with increasing metal sulfate species *** results of characterizations shed light on the reduction of specific surface area,Mn^(4+)and Ce^(3+)content,and redox ability of MnCeOx owing to the formation of metal sulfate *** experiments reveal that metal sulfate species preferentially absorb on MnOx domains rather than on CeO_(2) domains,and the adsorbed metal sulfate species can suppress the Eley-Rideal and the Langmuir-Hinshelwood reaction mechanisms over the sulfated *** the above results are detrimental to the activity of sulfated MnCeOx in the low-temperature NH3-SCR reaction.

Testosterone is closely associated with lipid metabolism and known to affect body fat composition and muscle mass in ***,the mechanisms by which testosterone acts on lipid metabolism are not yet fully understood,especially in *** this study,cyp17a1-/-zebrafish(Danio rerio)exhibited excessive visceral adipose tissue(VAT),lipid content,and up-regulated expression and activity of hepatic de novo lipogenesis(DNL)*** assay for transposase accessible chromatinwithsequencing(ATAC-seq)results demonstrated that chromatin accessibility of DNL genes was increased in cyp17a1-/-fish compared to cyp17a1+/+male fish,including stearoyl-CoA desaturase(scd)and fatty acid synthase(fasn).Androgen response element(ARE)motifs in the androgen signaling pathway were significantly enriched in cyp17a1+/+male fish but not in cyp17a1-/-*** androgen receptor(ar)-/-and wildtype(WT)zebrafish administered with Ar antagonist flutamide displayed excessive visceral adipose tissue,lipid content,and up-regulated expression and activity of hepatic de novo lipogenesis *** Ar agonist BMS-564929 reduced the content of VAT and lipid content,and down-regulated acetyl-CoA carboxylase a(acaca),fasn,and scd ***,the rescue effect of testosterone on cyp17a1-/-fish in terms of phenotypes was abolished when ar was additionally ***,these findings reveal that testosterone inhibits lipid deposition by down-regulating DNL genes via Ar in zebrafish,thus expanding our understanding of the relationship between testosterone and lipid metabolism in teleosts.

Citrus yellow vein clearing virus(CYVCV)is a new citrus virus that has become an important factor restricting the development of China’s citrus industry,and the CYVCV coat protein(CP)is associated with viral *** this study,the Eureka lemon zinc finger protein(ZFP)ClDOF3.4 was shown to interact with CYVCV CP in vivo and in *** expression of ClDOF3.4 in Eureka lemon induced the expression of salicylic acid(SA)-related and hypersensitive response marker genes,and triggered a reactive oxygen species burst,ion leakage necrosis,and the accumulation of free ***,the CYVCV titer in ClDOF3.4 transgenic Eureka lemon plants was approximately 69.4%that in control plants 6 mon after inoculation,with only mild leaf chlorotic spots observed in those transgenic *** together,the results indicate that ClDOF3.4 not only interacts with CP but also induces an immune response in Eureka lemon by inducing the SA *** is the first report that ZFP is involved in the immune response of a citrus viral disease,which provides a basis for further study of the molecular mechanism of CYVCV infection.

Global climate change has increased concerns regarding biodiversity ***,many key conservation issues still required further research,including demographic history,deleterious mutation load,adaptive evolution,and putative *** we generated the first chromosome-level genome of the endangered Chinese hazelnut,Corylus chinensis,and compared the genomic signatures with its sympatric widespread ***-C yunnanensis *** found large genome rearrangements across all Corylus species and identified species-specific expanded gene families that may be involved in *** genomics revealed that both *** and the *** complex had diverged into two genetic lineages,forming a consistent pattern of southwestern-northern *** size of the narrow southwestern lineages of both species have decreased continuously since the late Miocene,whereas the widespread northern lineages have remained stable(***) or have even recovered from population bottlenecks(*** complex) during the *** with ***-C. yunnanensis complex,*** showed significantly lower genomic diversity and higher inbreeding ***,*** carried significantly fewer deleterious mutations than ***-C. yunnanensis complex,as more effective purging selection reduced the accumulation of homozygous *** also detected signals of positive selection and adaptive introgression in different lineages,which facilitated the accumulation of favorable variants and formation of local ***,both types of selection and exogenous introgression could have mitigated inbreeding and facilitated survival and persistence of ***,our study provides critical insights into lineage differentiation,local adaptation,and the potential for future recovery of endangered trees.

We present radial velocity（RV） curve templates of RR Lyrae first-overtone（RRc） stars constructed with the Mg I b triplet and Hα lines using time-domain Medium-Resolution Survey spectra of seven RRc stars from Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope（LAMOST） Data Release 9. Additionally, we derive the relation between the stellar RV curve amplitudes and g-band light curve amplitudes from Zwicky Transient Facility（ZTF）public survey. For those RRc stars without ZTF g-band light curves, we provide the conversions from the light curve amplitudes in ZTF r-and i-bands, Gaia G-band, and V-band from the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae to those in ZTF g-band. We validate our RV curve templates using the RRc star SV Scl and find the uncertainties of systemic RV are less than 2.11 km s-1and 6.08 km s-1based on the Mg I b triplet and Hα lines,respectively. We calculate the systemic RVs of 30 RRc stars using the RV curve templates constructed with the Mg I b triplet and Hα lines and find the systemic RVs are comparable with each other. This RV curve template will be particularly useful for obtaining the systemic RV of RRc using the LAMOST spectroscopy.

Understanding the spatial heterogeneity of debris-flow-prone areas holds significant implications for regional risk management, particularly in seismically active regions with geological faults. Despite the significance of this knowledge, a comprehensive quantification of the influence of regional topographical and geological factors on the spatial heterogeneity of debris-flow-prone areas has been lacking. This study selected the Hengduan Mountains, an earthquake-prone region characterized by diverse surface conditions and complex landforms, as a representative study area. An improved units zoning and objective factors identification methodology was employed in earthquake and fault analysis to assess the impact of seismic activity and geological factors on spatial heterogeneity of debrisflow prone areas. Results showed that the application of GIS technology with hydrodynamic intensity and geographical units analysis can effectively analyze debris-flow prone areas. Meanwhile, earthquake and fault zones obviously increase the density of debrisflow prone catchments and make them unevenly distributed. The number of debris-flow prone areas shows a nonlinear variation with the gradual increase of geomorphic factor value. Specifically, the area with 1000 m-2500 m elevation difference, 25°-30° average slope, and 0.13-0.15 land use index is the most favorable conditions for debris-flow occurrence;The average annual rainfall from 600 to 1150 mm and landslides gradient from 16° to 35° are the main causal factors to trigger debris flow. Our study sheds light on the quantification of spatial heterogeneity in debris flow-prone areas in earthquake-prone regions, which can offer crucial support for post-debris flow risk management strategies.

In recent years,frequent network attacks have highlighted the importance of efficient detection methods for ensuring cyberspace *** paper presents a novel intrusion detection system consisting of a data prepro-cessing stage and a deep learning model for accurately identifying network *** have proposed four deep neural network models,which are constructed using architectures such as Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN),Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory(BiLSTM),Bidirectional Gate Recurrent Unit(BiGRU),and Attention *** models have been evaluated for their detection performance on the NSL-KDD *** enhance the compatibility between the data and the models,we apply various preprocessing techniques and employ the particle swarm optimization algorithm to perform feature selection on the NSL-KDD dataset,resulting in an optimized feature ***,we address class imbalance in the dataset using focal ***,we employ the BO-TPE algorithm to optimize the hyperparameters of the four models,maximizing their detection *** test results demonstrate that the proposed model is capable of extracting the spatiotemporal features of network traffic data *** binary and multiclass experiments,it achieved accuracy rates of 0.999158 and 0.999091,respectively,surpassing other state-of-the-art methods.
