Ovarian cancer is the most lethal and aggressive gynecological cancer with a high recurrence rate and is often diagnosed *** ovarian cancer,multiple metabolic enzymes of lipid metabolism are abnormally expressed,resulting in metabolism *** a characteristic pathway in polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA)metabolism,arachidonic acid(AA)metabolism is disturbed in ovarian ***,we established a 10-gene signature model to evaluate the prognostic risk of PUFA-related *** 10-gene signature has strong robustness and can play a stable predictive role in datasets of various platforms(TCGA,ICGC,and GSE17260).The high association between the risk subgroups and clinical characteristics indicated a good performance of the *** data further indicated that the high expression of LTA4H was positively correlated with poor prognosis in ovarian *** of LTA4H enhanced sensitivity to Cisplatin and modified the characteristics of immune cell infiltration in ovarian ***,our results indicate that CCL5 was involved in the aberrant metabolism of the AA/LTA4H axis,which contributes to the reduction of tumor-infiltrating CD8+T cells and immune escape in ovarian *** findings provide new insights into the prognosis and potential target of LTA4H/CCL5 in treating ovarian cancer.

Optimal timing of invasive intervention for high-risk non-ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction patients

OBJECTIVE To compare the immediate,early,and delayed percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)strategies in non-ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction(NSTEMI)patients with *** Medical records of patients treated at the Daping hospital,third Military Medical University,Chongqing,China between 2011 and 2021 were retrospectively *** patients with complete available information were *** patients assigned into three groups based on the timing of PCI including immediate(<2 h),early(2–24 h)and delayed(≥24 h)*** Cox hazards regression and simpler nonlinear models were *** A total of 657 patients were included in the *** median follow-up length was 3.29(interquartile range:1.45–4.85)*** PCI strategy improved the major adverse cardiac event(MACE)outcome compared to the immediate or delayed PCI *** PCI,diabetes mellitus,and left main or/and left anterior descending or/and left circumflex stenosis or/and right coronary artery≥99%were predictors for MACE *** optimal timing range for PCI to reduce MACE risk is 3–14 h *** high-risk NSTEMI patients,early PCI reduced primary clinical outcomes compared to immediate or delayed PCI,and the optimal timing range was 3–14 h *** PCI was superior for NSTEMI with chronic kidney *** Delayed invasive strategy was helpful to reduce the incidence of MACE for high-risk NSTEMI with chronic kidney *** immediate PCI strategy might increase the rate of MACE.

Revolutionizing tumor immunotherapy:unleashing the power of progenitor exhausted T cells

In exploring persistent infections and malignancies, a distinctive subgroup of CD8^(+) T cells, progenitor exhausted CD8^(+) T(Tpex) cells, has been identified. These Tpex cells are notable for their remarkable self-renewal and rapid proliferation abilities. Recent strides in immunotherapy have demonstrated that Tpex cells expand and differentiate into responsive exhausted CD8^(+) T cells, thus underscoring their critical role in the immunotherapeutic retort. Clinical examinations have further clarified a robust positive correlation between the proportional abundance of Tpex cells and enhanced clinical prognosis. Tpex cells have found noteworthy applications in the formulation of inventive immunotherapeutic approaches against tumors. This review describes the functions of Tpex cells in the tumor milieu, particularly their potential utility in tumor immunotherapy. Precisely directing Tpex cells may be essential to achieving successful outcomes in immunotherapy against tumors.

Potential Benefits of Green Tea in Prostate Cancer Prevention and Treatment: A Comprehensive Review

Prostate cancer is a prevalent and debilitating disease that necessitates effective prevention and treatment strategies. Green tea, a well-known beverage derived from the Camellia sinensis plant, contains bioactive compounds with potential health benefits, including catechins and polyphenols. This comprehensive review aims to explore the potential benefits of green tea in prostate cancer prevention and treatment by examining existing literature. Green tea possesses antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-carcinogenic properties attributed to its catechins, particularly epigallocatechin gallate. Epidemiological studies have reported an inverse association between green tea consumption and prostate cancer risk, with potential protection against aggressive forms of the disease. Laboratory studies demonstrate that green tea components inhibit tumor growth, induce apoptosis, and modulate signaling pathways critical to prostate cancer development and progression. Clinical trials and human studies further support the potential benefits of green tea. Green tea consumption has been found to be associated with a reduction in prostate-specific antigen levels, tumor markers, and played a potential role in slowing disease progression. However, challenges remain, including optimal dosage determination, formulation standardization, and conducting large-scale, long-term clinical trials. The review suggests future research should focus on combinatorial approaches with conventional therapies and personalized medicine strategies to identify patient subgroups most likely to benefit from green tea interventions.

Microvascular structural changes in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma pathology according to intrapapillary capillary loop types under magnifying endoscopy
