The curved steel-concrete-steel(SCS)sandwich shell was recently proposed to resist blast loading and it showed better blast resistant performance as compared to flat SCS sandwich shell via developing compressive force along the *** this paper,a dimensionless Pressure-Impulse(P-I)diagram was constructed as a convenient tool to predict the damage level of curved SCS sandwich shell subjected to uniformly distributed blast *** curved SCS sandwich shell was equivalent to a single-degree-oMreedom(SDOF)system and the equation of motion was established by employing the Lagrange's *** construct the dimensionless P-I diagram,the energy balance method was utilized to yield the pressure and impulse asymptotes and the responses in the dynamic response regime were obtained via employing the SDOF ***,the finite element method was employed to validate the developed dimensionless P-I ***,the procedures of using the constructed dimensionless P-I diagram to quickly conduct the blast resistant design of curved SCS sandwich shell were presented.

The large voltage hysteresis of the NiO anode,which owes much to the intermediate product Li_(2)NiO_(2),is one of the main obstacles to its practical application in lithium-ion *** this work,we show that the incorporation of Fe-and N-ions in the Nio lattice can suppress the formation of intermediate product Li_(2)NiO_(2)and thus greatly reduces the voltage hysteresis of the Nioanode from~1.2 to~0.9 *** comparison with the pure Nio electrode,the Nio.5Feo.5O1-xNx anode exhibits significantly enhanced reversible specific capacity(959 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.3 A·g^(-1)),cycling stability(capacity retention of 96.1%at 100th cycle relative to the second cycle)and rate capability(442 at 10 A·g^(-1)).These results provide a practical method to enhance the lithium storage performance of the Nio anode and more importantly a new solution to the large voltage hysteresis of conversion-type anodes.

Ribbons with the composition Al-1.5Cu-9.5Zn-3Mg were prepared by melt spinning technique. Microhardness and tensile strength were measured. The melt spun hardness and ultimate tensile strength values were as high as 291 HV and 660 MN/m2, respectively. Hardness values are relaxed to lower values on prolonged thermal annealing to around 50%. X-ray diffraction lines corresponding to Cu, Zn and Mg were disappeared for the as melt spun ribbons, which indicates a complete solubility of these element in Al matrix. On prolonged thermal annealing these alloying elements were precipitated.

In microfluidic impedance cytometry,the change in impedance is recorded as an individual cell passes through a channel between electrodes deposited on its walls,and the particle size is inferred from the amplitude of the impedance signal using ***,because the current density is nonuniform between electrodes of finite width,there could be an error in the particle size measurement because of uncertainty about the location of the particle in the channel cross ***,a correlation is developed relating the particle size to the signal amplitude and the velocity of the particle through the *** latter is inferred from the time interval between the two extrema in the impedance curve as the particle passes through a channel with cross-sectional dimensions of 50μm(width)×30μm(height)with two pairs of parallel facing *** change in impedance is predicted using 3D COMSOL finite-element simulations,and a theoretical correlation that is independent of particle size is formulated to correct the particle diameter for variations in the cross-sectional *** this correlation,the standard deviation in the experimental data is reduced by a factor of two to close to the standard deviation reported in the manufacturer specifications.

A new species of Anastatus Motschulsky, 1859 （Hymenoptera： Eupelmidae）, A. orientalis Yang ＆ Choi, sp. nov. is described from China. It is a solitary endo-parasitoid in egg of the spotted lanternfly, Lycorma delicatula （White）（Homoptera： Fulgoridae）, which causes damages to many ornamental and fruit trees in China. The brief biology of the new parasitoid is also mentioned. The new species has high potential as a biocontrol agent for suppression of the pest because of its parasitism rates of egg masses 30.4% and of eggs 40.2% respectively with sex ratio of female to male 1.9：1.0, as well as the relative easiness for mass rearing. The detailed feature characters and photos of the new species are supplied. Meanwhile, a key to distinguish the present new species from the other close two （A. japonicus and A. bifasciatus） in the genus is provided. Type specimens are deposited in the Insect Museum, Chinese Academy of Forestry, Beijing, China.

To relieve the stress of sewage sludge(SS)disposal and effectively increase the use of renewable energy,a novel renewable-energy microgrid system(REMS)was developed,specifically designed to integrate a wind power plant(WPP)with energy storage and the SS pyrolysis process for heat and power *** on a lab-scale pyrolysis experiment and 7-day numerical analysis,we studied the energy-recycling potential of SS and simulated the operational behaviours of *** to the results,the calorific values of the pyrolytic gaseous and liquid products were better than those of the raw material,at 16.19 and 33.53 MJ/kg,*** proposed REMS performed well in power supply and energy utilization with a design performance index of 99.23 when the WPP capacity was 200 MWe and the initial wind-energy curtailment rate was 30%.It indicates that by converting SS into flammable gas,condensable liquid and carbon-rich solid residue,curtailed wind energy could be saved and the synergy between wind power and the SS pyrolysis process enabled the proposed microgrid system to effectively utilize renewable energy and provide reliable on-demand power *** REMS installed with a 155-MWe WPP achieved the optimal design in system performance,environmental benefit and construction cost under the initial wind-curtailment rate of 34.12%.The design scheme makes REMS capable of satisfying the 15.10-GWh power demand of end users and the 1700-t/day SS disposal need,and the curtailed wind energy could be reduced to zero.

In this study,raw Arundo donax(***)pieces were applied as carbon source and biofilm carriers for denitrification in a lab-scale moving bed biofilm reactor(MBBR)for the treatment of reverse osmosis concentrate gathered from local wastewater reuse *** stable phase(about 60 days),efficient denitrification performance was obtained with73.2%±19.5%NO3--N average removal and 8.10±3.45 g N/(m3·day)NO3--N average volumetric removal *** balance analysis showed that 4.84 g *** was required to remove 1 g *** real-time PCR analysis results showed that the copy numbers of 16S r-RNA,narG,nirS,nosZ and anammox gene of carrier biofilm and suspended activated sludge in the declination phase(BF2 and AS2)were lower than those of samples in the stable phase(BF1 and AS1),and relatively higher copy numbers of nirS and nirK genes with lower abundance of narG and nosZ genes were ***-throughput sequencing analysis was conducted for BF2 and AS2,and similar dominant phyla and classes with different abundance were *** class Gammaproteobacteria affiliated with the phylum Proteobacteria was the most dominant microbial community in both BF2(52.6%)and AS2(41.7%).The PICRUSt prediction results indicated that 33 predictive specific genes were related to denitrification process,and the relative abundance of 18 predictive specific genes in BF2 were higher than those in AS2.
