Sini decoction alleviates inflammation injury after myocardial infarction through regulating arachidonic acid metabolism

Objective:Myocardial inflammation during myocardial infarction(MI) could be inhibited by regulating arachidonic acid(AA) *** studies demonstrated that Sini Decoction(SND) was identified to be an effective prescription for treating heart failure(HF) caused by *** the anti-inflammatory mechanism of SND remained *** work was designed to investigate the anti-inflammato ry mechanism of SND through the AA metabolism pathway in vitro and in vivo ***:An inflammatory injury model of H9c2 cells was established by lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-stimulated macrophage-conditioned medium(CM).The MI model was built by the ligation of left anterior descending(LAD) branch of coronary artery in ***,the rats were divided into five groups:sham group,MI group,MI+Celecoxib group,MI+low-dose SND group(SND-L) and MI+high-dose SND group(SND-H).Cardiac function,histopathological changes and serum cytokines were examined four weeks *** blot analysis was conducted to verify the key enzymes levels in the AA metabolic pathway,including phospholipase A2(PLA2),cyclooxygenases(COXs) and lipoxygenases(LOXs).Results:These in vivo results demonstrated that SND could improve the cardiac function and pathological changes of rats with MI,and regulate the key inflammatory molecules in the AA metabolism pathway,including sPLA2,COX-1,COX-2,5-LOX and *** vitro,SND could decrease the release of proinflammatory cytokines including TNF-α and IL-6 and inhibit cell apoptosis in CM-induced H9c2 ***,SND could protect H9c2 cells from the damage of CM by regulating nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB) signal pathway and the expression of ***: SND may be a drug candidate for anti-inflammatory treatment during MI by regulating the multiple targets in the AA metabolism pathway.

Nursing interventions based on Snyder’s hope theory for depression following percutaneous coronary interventions:A clinical study

BACKGROUND Patients with depression following coronary heart disease often exhibit insufficient psychological resilience and self-care abilities;therefore,emphasis must be placed on nursing *** To analyze the application value of problem-oriented education combined with nursing interventions based on the Snyder hope theory model in depressed patients after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).METHODS This study included 150 patients diagnosed with PCI postoperative depression because of coronary heart disease between February 2022 and February *** were divided into two groups:A control group(n=75)receiving problem-oriented education and an observation group(n=75)receiving combined nursing interventions based on the Snyder hope theory *** status,psychological resilience,self-care ability,and quality of life were compared between the two *** Before nursing interventions,there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).After the interventions,depression scores decreased while psychological resilience,self-care ability,and quality of life scores increased significantly in the observation group compared to that in the control group,with statistically significant differences noted(P<0.05).This combined approach can enhance psychological resilience,improve self-care abilities,and elevate the overall quality of life,warranting further promotion in clinical *** Combination of problem-oriented education and nursing interventions based on the Snyder hope theory model effectively alleviates depression in patients following PCI for coronary heart disease.

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)poses a substantial risk to human health due to its high prevalence and mortality ***,current therapeutic strategies remain ***-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)offers the potential to provide comprehensive insights into GC *** To explore the distribution and dynamic changes of cell populations in the GC tumor microenvironment using scRNA-seq *** Cancerous tissues and paracancerous tissues were obtained from patients diagnosed with GC at various stages(I,II,III,and IV).Single-cell suspensions were prepared and analyzed using scRNA-seq to examine transcriptome profiles and cell-cell ***,quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)and flow cytometry were applied for measuring the expression of cluster of differentiation(CD)2,CD3D,CD3E,cytokeratin 19,cytokeratin 8,and epithelial cell adhesion *** Transcriptome data from 73645 single cells across eight tissues of four patients were categorized into 25 distinct cell clusters,representing 10 different cell *** were observed in these cell type *** adjacent epithelial cells in stages II and III exhibited a degenerative ***,the quantity of CD4 T cells and CD8 T cells were evidently elevated in cancerous *** analysis displayed a remarkable increase in interaction between B cells and other mast cells in stages II,III,and IV of *** findings were further validated through qRT-PCR and flow cytometry,demonstrating elevated T cells and declined epithelial cells within the cancerous *** This study provides a comprehensive analysis of cell dynamics across GC stages,highlighting key interactions within the tumor *** findings offer valuable insights for developing novel therapeutic strategies.

Correlation analyse between thyroid hormone levels and severity of schizophrenia symptoms

BACKGROUND The imbalance of hormone levels in the body is closely related to the occurrence and progression of schizophrenia,especially thyroid *** To study the relationship between triiodothyronine(T3),thyroxine(T4),free T3(FT3),free T4(FT4),thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)and *** In this study,100 schizophrenia patients were selected from our hospital between April 2022 and April *** clinical data were analyzed *** on the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS)score,patients were divided into mild(1-3 points,n=39),moderate(4 points,n=45),and severe groups(5-7 points,n=16).Additionally,55 healthy individuals served as a control *** blood samples were collected to measure T3,T4,FT3,FT4,TSH,and cortisol concentrations,analyzing their relationship with PANSS *** The serum levels of T3,FT3,FT4,TSH and cortisol in the schizophrenia group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).With the increase of the severity of the disease,the concentrations of T3 and T4 decreased,while the con-centrations of TSH and cortisol increased(P<0.05).The concentrations of TSH and cortisol were positively correlated with the PANSS score,while T3 and T4 were negatively correlated with the PANSS score(P<0.05).The receiver ope-rating characteristic curve results showed that T3,T4,TSH,and cortisol had good efficacy in the diagnosis of *** results showed that decreased T3 level,decreased T4 level,decreased TSH level and increased cortisol level may be independent risk factors for *** Thyroid hormone levels are associated with the severity of schizophrenia symptoms,which can provide new solutions for the diagnosis and treatment of schizophrenia.

Prognostic value of preoperative fibrinogen to albumin ratio in predicting postoperative outcomes in patients with gallbladder cancer

BACKGROUND Gallbladder cancer(GBC)is known for its poor prognosis and challenging *** preoperative fibrinogen to albumin ratio(FAR)has been proposed as a potential prognostic marker for predicting postoperative outcomes in GBC patients,but its efficacy and prognostic value remain *** To evaluate the prognostic value of preoperative FAR in GBC *** This retrospective cohort study included 66 patients who underwent curative surgery for GBC at our institution from January 2018 to January *** FAR values were obtained within one week prior to *** were followed through outpatient visits or telephone interviews,with overall survival(OS)as the primary *** analyses,including receiver operating characteristic curve analysis and Kaplan-Meier survival estimates,were performed using SPSS software(version 27.0).RESULTS The cohort consisted of 36 male and 30 female patients,with a mean age of 61.81±8.58 *** optimal FAR cut-off value was determined to be 0.088,with an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.7899,sensitivity of 68.96%,and specificity of 80.01%.Patients with FAR≤0.088 showed significantly better survival rates(1-year:60.5%,2-year:52.6%,3-year:25.9%)and a median OS of 25.6 months(95%confidence interval:18.8-30.5 months),compared to those with FAR>0.088 who had a median OS of 10.8 months(95%confidence interval:6.3-12.9 months).CONCLUSION Lower preoperative FAR is associated with longer OS in GBC patients,confirming its potential as a valuable prognostic indicator for improving outcome predictions and guiding patient management strategies in gallbladder cancer.

Engineered Spindles of Little Molecules Around Electrospun Nanofbers for Biphasic Drug Release

Biphasic drug release is a popular advanced drug controlled release profle that has been drawing increasing attention from many *** nanofbers and their derivatives can be act as a strong platform for developing biphasic release dosage *** this study,a modifed coaxial electrospinning was implemented,in which little molecule solutions that contain a drug ibuprofen(IBU)and polyethylene glycol(PEG)were exploited as a sheath fuid to surround the core solutions composed of polymer ethyl cellulose(EC)and *** prepared nanofber-based structural hybrids,i.e.,engineered spindles-on-astring(SOS)products,were successfully created and subjected to a series of *** electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy results showed the engineered SOS *** and the carriers EC and PEG had good compatibility,as suggested by X-ray difraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy *** vitro dissolution tests verifed that the SOS products were able to provide a typical biphasic release profle,releasing 40%of the loaded IBU within 1 h in an immediate manner in the frst phase,and the rest of the IBU in a sustained manner in the second phase.A combined mechanism of erosion and difusion is proposed for manipulating the IBU molecule release behaviors.

Effects of exercise by type and duration on quality of life in patients with digestive system cancers:A systematic review and network meta-analysis

Background:There is scant evidence regarding the effects of exercise type and duration on quality of life(QoL)in digestive system cancer(DSC)*** aim to investigate the optimal type and duration of exercise to improve QoL for DSC survivors through a systematic review and network ***:A systematic literature search of PubMed,Embase,and Web of Science was *** for study inclusion was limited to studies that were randomized controlled trials involving all kinds of exercise in adult patients with DSCs,and the comparator was in standard care or other types of *** primary outcome was QoL,including general health,physical health,mental health,and role *** outcomes included cancer-related symptoms such as fatigue,insomnia,depression,anxiety,and duration of hospital *** network meta-analyses were performed using a random-effect ***:The analysis included 32 eligible articles and a total of 2558 *** primary outcome indicated that short-term aerobic exercise significantly enhanced general health(standardized mean difference(SMD)=0.66,95%credible intervals(Crls):0.05 to 1.30),and also contributed to a better mental health(SMD=0.38,95%CrI:-0.05 to 0.81)and role function(SMD=0.48,95%CrI:-0.27 to 1.20).Although without significant changes,short-term resistance exercise tended to increase the physical health of patients with DSCs(SM=0.69,95%CrI:-0.07 to 1.50)and effective in alleviating fatigue(SMD=-0.77,95%CrI:-1.50 to 0.01).Short-term aerobic exercise was related to a lower score of insomnia(SMD=-1.20,95%CrI:-2.40 to 0.06),depression(SMD=-0.51,95%CrI:-1.50 to 0.45),and anxiety(SMD=-0.45,95%CrI:-1.30 to 0.34).All types of exercise related to a trend of declined hospital stays(-0.87 to-5.00 day).Long-term resistance exercise,however,was negatively associated with general health(SMD=-0.33,95%CrI:-1.70 to 1.00),physical health(SMD=-0.18,95%CrI:-1.30to 0.90),and role function(SMD=-1.20,95%CrI:

Background:The levels of ghrelin and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-a) are considered biological markers of congenital heart diseases (CHD).The present meta-analysis was conducted to investigate the clinical significance of serum levels of ghrelin and TNF-α in children with (CHD).Methods:Chinese and English scientific literature databases were searched to retrieve published studies relevant to ghrelin,TNF-α and *** search was additionally employed to identify other relevant studies from *** retrieved studies were screened on the basis of our stringent inclusion and exclusion criteria to select high quality case-control studies for ***:We initially retrieved 108 published studies (20 in Chinese and 88 in English) from database ***,6 case-control studies (5 in English and 1 in Chinese) were enrolled in our meta-analysis,and contained a total of 160 cyanotic congenital heart disease (CCHD) patients and 215 acyanotic congenital heart disease (ACHD) patients,along with 162 healthy *** results of meta-analysis showed that serum levels of ghrelin and TNF-α in CCHD or ACHD children were significantly higher than those in healthy ***:Our meta-analysis results showed that serum levels of ghrelin and TNF-α are elevated in children with CHD,and could be used as effective biologic markers in early diagnosis of CHD.

Clinical efficacies of treating refractory insomnia patients with estazolam plus alternating current magnetic field

As one of common physical and mental ailments, insomnia may cause serious adverse effects on a patient＇s daily life. And serious accidents occur in long-term cases.1 Despite comprehensive treatments, 9.38%-17.0% of the treated insomniacs fail to benefit at all. Thus the term of ＂refractory insomnia＂ has been coined.24 At present, there is no literature reporting the roles of estazolam plus alternating current magnetic field （ACMF） for treating insomnia. In the present study, estazolam plus ACMF was employed for the patients with refractory insomnia so as to explore the clinical efficacies of such a combined modality.
