The optimization of two-scale structures can adapt to the different needs of materials in various regions by reasonably arranging different microstructures at the macro scale,thereby considerably improving structural ***,a multiple variable cutting(M-VCUT)level set-based data-driven model of microstructures is presented,and a method based on this model is proposed for the optimal design of two-scale *** geometry of the microstructure is described using the M-VCUT level set method,and the effective mechanical properties of microstructures are computed by the homogenization ***,a database of microstructures containing their geometric and mechanical parameters is *** two sets of parameters are adopted as input and output datasets,and a mapping relationship between the two datasets is established to build the data-driven model of *** the optimization of two-scale structures,the data-driven model is used for macroscale finite element and sensitivity *** efficiency of the analysis and optimization of two-scale structures is improved because the computational costs of invoking such a data-driven model are much smaller than those of homogenization.

Passive vibration isolation systems have been widely applied due to their low power consumption and high ***,the design of vibration isolators is usually limited by the narrow space of installation,and the requirement of heavy loads needs the high supporting stiffness that leads to the narrow isolation frequency *** improve the vibration isolation performance of passive isolation systems for dynamic loaded equipment,a novel modular quasi-zero stiffness vibration isolator(MQZS-VI)with high linearity and integrated fluid damping is *** MQZS-VI can achieve high-performance vibration isolation under a constraint mounted space,which is realized by highly integrating a novel combined magnetic negative stiffness mechanism into a damping structure:The stator magnets are integrated into the cylinder block,and the moving magnets providing negative-stiffness force also function as the piston supplying damping force *** analytical model of the novel MQZS-VI is established and verified *** effects of geometric parameters on the characteristics of negative stiffness and damping are then elucidated in detail based on the analytical model,and the design procedure is proposed to provide guidelines for the performance optimization of the ***,static and dynamic experiments are conducted on the *** experimental results demonstrate the proposed analytical model can be effectively utilized in the optimal design of the MQZS-VI,and the optimized MQZS-VI broadened greatly the isolation frequency band and suppressed the resonance peak simultaneously,which presented a substantial potential for application in vibration isolation for dynamic loaded equipment.

Au-Ag alloy nanostars based flexible paper surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy sensors were fabricated through simple nanostar coating on regular office paper,and the surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy detection performances were investigated using crystal violet dye ***-Ag nanostars with sharp tips were synthesized via metal ions reduction *** electron microscope images,X-Ray diffraction pattern and energy dispersive spectroscopy elemental mapping confirmed the nanostar geometry and Au/Ag components of the ***-Vis-NIR absorption spectrum shows wide local surface plasmon resonance induced optical *** addition,finite-difference time-domain simulation shows much stronger electromagnetic field from nanostars than from sphere *** effect of coating layer on Raman signal intensities was discussed,and optimized 5-layer coating with best Raman signal was *** Au-Ag nanostatrs homogeneously distribute on paper fiber *** detection limit is 10-10 M,and the relationship between analyte concentrations and Raman signal intensities shows well linear,for potential quantitative *** calculated enhancement factor is 4.795×10^(6).The flexible paper surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy sensors could be applied for trace chemical and biology molecule detection.

Sodium-ion batteries are promising candidates for large-scale grid storage systems and other *** foremost advantage derives from superior environmental credentials,enhanced safety as well as lower raw material costs than lithium-ion *** is still challenging to explore desirable anode *** this study,FeSe_(2)@CoSe_(2)/FeSe_(2),with a yolk-shell structure was prepared by ion exchange and *** FeSe_(2)@CoSe_(2)/FeSe_(2)prepared as anode material for sodiumion batteries exhibits excellent rate capability due to the synergistic effect of bimetallic selenides and the interfacial effect of the ***,it delivers high performance(510 mAh g^(-1)at 0.2 A g^(-1)),superior rate capa-bility(90%retention at 5 A g^(-1)),and good long-time cycling stability(78%capacity retention after 1800 cycles at a high current density of 2 A g^(-1)).The optimized sodiumion full cell with FeSe_(2)@CoSe_(2)/FeSe_(2)as the anode and Na 3 V 2(PO 4)3 as the cathode still demonstrates excellent ***,a ca-pacity of 272 mAh g^(-1)(at 1 A g^(-1))within the operating voltage from 1 to 3.8 V can be *** work illustrates the potential of bimetallic selenides with heterostructures for performance enhancement of sodium-ion batteries.

Stiffened structures have great potential for improvingmechanical performance,and the study of their stability is of great *** this paper,the optimization of the critical buckling load factor for curved grid stiffeners is solved by using the level set based density method,where the shape and cross section(including thickness and width)of the stiffeners can be optimized *** grid stiffeners are a combination ofmany single stiffenerswhich are projected by the corresponding level set *** thickness and width of each stiffener are designed to be independent variables in the projection applied to each level set ***,the path of each single stiffener is described by the zero iso-contour of the level set *** the single stiffeners are combined together by using the p-norm method to obtain the stiffener *** proposed method is validated by several numerical examples to optimize the critical buckling load factor.

Toxic arsenic(As)and trace element selenium(Se)are transformed by microorganisms but their complex interactions in soil-plant systems have not been fully *** Asand Se-oxidizing bacterium,Agrobacterium sp.T3F4,was applied to a native seleniferous As-polluted soil to investigate As/Se uptake by the vegetable Brassica rapa *** As-Se interaction as mediated by strain *** Se content in the aboveground plants was significantly enhanced by 34.1%,but the As content was significantly decreased by 20.5% in the T3F4-inoculated pot culture compared to the control(P<0.05).Similar result was shown in treatment with additional 5 mg/kg of Se(IV)in *** addition,the As contents in roots were significantly decreased by more than 35% under T3F4 or Se(IV)treatments(P<0.05).Analysis of As-Se-bacterium interaction in a soil simulation experiment showed that the bioavailability of Se significantly increased and As was immobilized with the addition of the T3F4strain(P<0.05).Furthermore,an As/Se co-exposure hydroponic experiment demonstrated that As uptake and accumulation in plants was reduced by increasing Se(IV)*** 50% growth inhibition concentration(IC50)values for As in plants were increased about one-fold and two-fold under co-exposure with 5 and 10μmol/L Se(IV),*** conclusion,strain T3F4 improves Se uptake but decreases As uptake by plants via oxidation of As and Se,resulting in decrease of soil As bioavailability and As/Se competitive absorption by *** provides a potential bioremediation strategy for Se biofortification and As immobilization in As-polluted soil.

High-quality optical components have been widely used in various applications;thus,extremely high beam quality is ***,surface roughness is a key indicator of the surface *** this study,the angular distribution of light scattering field intensity was obtained for surfaces having different roughness profiles based on the finite difference time domain(FDTD)method,and the results were compared with those obtained using the generalized Harvey-Shack(GHS)*** was shown that the FDTD approach can be used for an accurate simulation of the scattered field of a rough surface,and the superposition of results obtained from many surfaces that have the same roughness level was in good agreement with the result given by the analytic GHS model.A light scattering matrix(LSM)method was proposed based on the FDTD simulation results that could obtain rich surface roughness *** classification effect of LSM was compared with that of the single-incidence scattering distribution(SISD)based on a ResNet-50 deep learning *** classification accuracy of the model trained with the LSM dataset was obtained as 95.74%,which was 23.40%higher than that trained using the SISD ***,the effects of different noise types and filtering methods on the classification performance were analyzed,and the LSM was also shown to improve the robustness and generalizability of the trained surface roughness ***,the proposed LSM method has important implications for improving the data acquisition scheme of current light scattering measurement systems,and it also has the potential to be used for detection and characterization of surface defects of optical components.

The wetting behavior of molten Cu on the B_(4)C-xTiB_(2)ceramic composites was investigated in this *** results show that the contact angle of molten Cu alloy on B_(4)C-TiB_(2)ceramic composites is linear with the composition rate of TiB_(2)or B_(4)C while the temperature is in the range of 1300 to 1350℃,consistent with the expectation of the commonly used theoretical ***,a nonlinear relationship between the contact angle and the composition rate unexpectedly occurred at temperatures ranging from 1400 to 1500℃.The big difference of the contact angles between the molten metal and the components in the composites was found to be the key *** result identifies that the commonly used theoretical method only works at a limited difference of the contact angle of the liquid on the different phases in the composites,and fails at a big difference.

Lead-free K_(x)Na_(1-x)NbO_(3)(KNN)perovskites have garnered increasing attention due to their exceptional ferropiezoelectric properties,which are effectively tuned via polymorphic structures and domain ***,atomic insights into the underlying nanomechanisms governing the ferroelectricity of KNNs amidst varying factors such as composition,phase,and domain are still ***,we perform molecular dynamics simulations of phase transitions and domain dynamics for KNNs with various K/Na ratios(x=0.25∼1.0)by using ab-initio accuracy deep learning potential(DP).As a demonstration of its transferability,the newly developed DP model shows quantum accuracy in terms of the equation of states,elastic constants,and phonon dispersion relations for various KNbO_(3)and K_(0.5)Na_(0.5)NbO_(3).Furthermore,intricate temperature-dependent phase transitions and domain formation of KNNs are extensively and quantitatively *** indicate that for KNNs with compositions x ranging from 0.25 to 1.0,the paraelectric-to-ferroelectric phase transition of KNNs is driven primarily by the order-disorder effect,while the displacive effect is dominant in the subsequent ferroelectric phase ***,flux-closure or herringbone-like nanodomain patterns arranged with 90°domain walls formed close to the experimental *** analyses reveal that favorable 90°domain wall formation becomes more challenging with increasing Na content due to distinct oxygen octahedron distortion arising from the different ionic radii of K/Na *** is envisioned that the combination of unified DP and atomistic simulations will help offer a robust solution for more accurate and efficient in silico explorations of complex structural,thermodynamic,and ferroelectric properties for relevant energy storage and conversion materials.
