Experimental study on surface-active polymer flooding for enhanced oil recovery: A case study of Daqing placanticline oilfield, NE China

Experiments on surface-active polymer flooding for enhanced oil recovery were carried out by detection analysis and modern physical simulation technique based on reservoirs and fluids in Daqing placanticline *** experimental results show that the surface-active polymer is different from other common polymers and polymer-surfactant systems in molecular aggregation,viscosity and flow capacity,and it has larger molecular coil size,higher viscosity and viscosifying capacity,and poorer *** surface-active polymer solution has good performance of viscosity-increasing and viscosity retention,and has good performance of viscoelasticity and deformability to exert positive effects of viscosifying and viscoelastic ***-active polymer can change the chemical property of interface and reduce interfacial tension,making the reservoir rock turn water-wet,also it can emulsify the oil into relatively stable oil-in-water emulsion,and emulsification capacity is an important property to enhance oil washing efficiency under non-ultralow interfacial *** surface-active polymer flooding enlarges swept volume in two ways:Microscopically,the surface-active polymer has mobility control effect and can enter oil-bearing pores not swept by water to drive residual oil,and its mobility control effect has more contribution than oil washing capacity in enhancing oil ***,it has plugging capacity,and can emulsify and plug the dominant channels in layers with high permeability,forcing the injected fluid to enter the layer with medium or low permeability and low flow resistance,and thus enlarging swept volume.

Intra-stage multi-cluster temporary plugging and diverting fracturing(ITPF)is one of the fastest-growing techniques to obtain uniform reservoir stimulation in shale gas ***,propagation geometries of multiple fractures during ITPF are not clear due that the existing numerical models cannot capture the effects of perforation *** this paper,a new three-dimensional FEM based on CZM was developed to investigate multiple planar fracture propagation considering perforation plugging during ***,the fluid pipe element and its subroutine were first developed to realize the flux partitioning before or after perforation *** results showed that the perforation plugging changed the original distribution of the number of perforations in each fracture,thus changing the flux partitioning after perforation plugging,which could eliminate the effect of stress interference between multiple fractures and promote a uniform fluid *** standard deviation of fluid distribution in the perforation plugging case was only 8.48%of that in the non-diversion ***,critical plugging parameters have been investigated ***,injecting more diverters will create a higher fluid pressure rise in the wellbore,which will increase the risk of wellbore *** considering pressure rise and fluid distribution,the number of diverters should be 50%of the total number of perforations(N_(pt)),whose standard deviation of fluid distribution of multiple fractures was lower than those in the cases of injecting 10%N_(pt),30%N_(pt)and 70%N_(pt).The diverters should be injected at an appropriate timing,i.e.40%or 50%of the total fracturing time(tft),whose standard deviation of the fluid distribution was only about 20%of standard deviations in the cases of injecting at20%tftor 70%tft.A single injection with all diverters can maintain high bottom-hole pressure for a longer period and promote a more uniform fluid distribu

SAPO-34 molecular sieves were synthesized directly by hydrothermal method with rice husk ash(RHA)used as the silicon *** crystal structure,composition,surface morphology and acidity of the synthesized products weresieves had a high crystallinity,without any impure *** with the SAPO-34 prepared by the silica sol,RHA-SAPO-34 had similar acid properties in *** methanol to olefins(MTO)experiments showed that the SAPO-34molecular sieve synthesized from RHA exhibited both a good catalytic activity and ethylene selectivity.

Adsorption, Diffusion and Thermal Desorption Features of Cyclopentane and Cyclohexane in Silicalite-1

Adsorption, diffusion and thermal desorption features of cyclopentane and cyclohexane in silicalite-1 have been investigated using the intelligent gravimetric technique. Both the saturation adsorption loadings and diffusion coefficient of cyclopentane were greater than those of cyclohexane. The diffusivity of cyclopentane was about one order of magnitude greater than that of cyclohexane at the same temperature and initial loading. For cyclopentane, there was only one kind of desorption process at adsorption loadings lower than 4 muc （molecule per unit cell）, but two desorption processes appeared at the adsorption loadings higher than 4 muc. While for cyclohexane, one desorption process was found in the whole range of loadings. Both thermal desorption peaks of cyclopentane and cyclohexane moved to higher temperature region with increasing loading.

Monitoring the reaction between AlCl_3 and o-xylene by using terahertz spectroscopy

Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy （THz-TDS） is used to study the interaction between AlCl3 and o-xylene in a temperature range from 300 K to 368 K. For comparison, the three isomers of o-, m-, and p-xylene are measured by using THz-TDS. The o-xylene carries out isomerization reaction in the presence of catalyst AlCl3. The absorption coefficient of the mixed reaction solution is extracted and analyzed in the frequency range from 0.2 THz to 1.4 THz. The temperature dependence of the absorption coefficient, which is influenced by both the dissolution of AlCl3 and the production of the two other isomer resultants, is obtained, and it can indicate the process of the isomerization reaction. The results suggest that THz spectroscopy can be used to monitor the isomerization reaction and other reactions in chemical synthesis, petrochemical and biomedical fields.

Oligomerization and Polymerization of Ethylene Initiated by a Novel Ni(Ⅱ)-Based Acetyliminopyridine Complexes as Single-Site Catalysts

Novel Ni（II）-based acetyliminopyridine complexes 1b, 2b, 3b （1-3b）, which are synthesized from ligands 1a, 2a, 3a （1-3a） and [NiCl2（DME）], are suitable precursors for the catalysts that are necessary for ethylene oligomerization and polymerization reactions, activated by methylaluminoxane （MAO）. The MAO-treated 1-3b presents an active catalytic center, which may oligomerize and polymerize ethylene to produce linear α-olefins and polyethylene, respectively. The molecular weight distributions of oligomers that are obtained are in good agreement with the Schulz-Flory rules for oligomers〉C4. The activity of 3b-MAO complex is 6.3×10^7 g/（molNi.h） at 50 ℃. The activities and molecular weight distributions of oligomers show significant reliance on the structures of catalyst precursors.

Laboratory Evaluation of Performance Recovery of Aged SBS-modified Asphalt Using Regenerants with Different Base Oil Components

In this study,the regenerative effects of different regenerants on aged SBS-modified asphalt from different perspectives were investigated,including their conventional properties,viscoelastic behavior,creep-related properties,and *** oils composed of different proportions of aromatic and saturated hydrocarbons as well as the styrene-butadiene-styrene(SBS)restorer were used to prepare the *** results showed that the components of the base oil of the regenerant played a crucial role in determining the characteristics and performance of the recycled SBSmodified *** containing a high proportion of aromatics dissolved the hard segment in the SBS restorer,thereby delaying the effect of a reduction in the regenerants on the performance of the aged asphalts at a high *** containing a high proportion of saturates dissolved the soft segment in the SBS restorer to enhance the lowtemperature performance of the recycled *** addition,the stress sensitivity of the recycled asphalts increased with the fraction of aromatics in the *** the aromatic content of the base oil components of the regenerants increased and their saturate content decreased,the state of dispersion of the SBS phase in the recycled SBS-modified asphalts *** optimal content of aromatics in the base oil of the regenerants should be set in the range of 33%to 47%to ensure the adequate performance of the recycled asphalts and a high efficiency of the SBS restorer.

Catalytic performance of Pt/HY-β in n-octane hydroisomerization

A bifunctional catalyst Pt/HY-β was prepared from a bimicroporous composite zeolite Y-β. Characterization results showed that the specific surface area, pore volume, and acid amount of the catalyst Pt/HY-β all decreased compared to the original zeolite. The catalytic performance of this catalyst in n-octane hydroisomerization was investigated in a fixed bed stainless steel tubular reactor. The results showed that at a hydrogen/n-octane volume ratio of 1000, pressure of 0.6 MPa, temperature of 230 ℃ and LHSV of 3 h^-1, the conversion of n-octane, yield of liquid, hydrocracking rate and yield of iso-octane were 52.32%, 88.66%, 12.60%, 39.51%, respectively.

Co-adsorption behaviors of asphaltenes and different flow improvers and their impacts on the interfacial viscoelasticity

Commonly used flow improvers in oilfields,such as ethylene–vinyl acetate copolymer(EVA),poly(octadecyl acrylate)(POA),and polymethylsilsesquioxane(PMSQ)are proven to be effective to enhance the flowability of crude ***,the addition of these flow improvers may change the stability of the emulsion and make the crude oil treatment process *** this research,the impacts of different flow improvers on the interfacial properties of the emulsions containing asphaltenes are systematically *** co-adsorption behaviors of the flow improvers and asphaltenes are analyzed through dynamic interfacial tension(DIFT).The rheological properties of the interfacial layer after the adsorption are explored via dilational *** difference is observed in the structural properties of the interface adsorbed by different flow improvers,which is attributed to different interactions between the flow improvers and *** investigate these interactions,conductivity,asphaltenes precipitation,dynamic light scattering(DLS),and contact angle experiments are conducted *** show that EVA and POA can alter the interfacial properties by changing the asphaltene dispersion *** interaction between EVA and asphaltenes is stronger than that between POA and asphaltenes due to the difference in molecular *** EVA and POA,the change of interfacial property with the addition of PMSQ is attributed to the partial adsorption of asphaltenes on PMSQ.
