BACKGROUND Mutations in mitochondrial tRNA(mt-tRNA)genes that result in mitochondrial dysfunction play important roles in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).We previously reported a large Chinese pedigree with maternally inherited T2DM that harbors novel mt-tRNA^(Trp)A5514G and tRNA^(ser(AGY))C12237T variants,however,the effects of these mt-tRNA variants on T2DM progression are largely *** To assess the potential pathogenicity of T2DM-associated m.A5514G and m.C12237T variants at genetic,molecular,and biochemical *** Cytoplasmic hybrid(cybrid)cells carrying both m.A5514G and m.C12237T variants,and healthy control cells without these mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA)variants were generated using trans-mitochondrial *** features,including mt-tRNA steady-state level,levels of adenosine triphosphate(ATP),mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP),reactive oxygen species(ROs),mtDNA copy number,nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD+)/NADH ratio,enzymatic activities of respiratory chain complexes(RCCs),8-hydroxy-deoxyguanine(8-OhdG),malondialdehyde(MDA),and superoxide dismutase(sOD)were examined in cell lines with and without these mt-tRNA *** Compared with control cells,the m.A5514G variant caused an approximately 35%reduction in the steady-state level of mt-tRNA^(Trp)(Pser(AGY))steady-state level(P=0.5849).Biochemical analysis revealed that cells with both m.A5514G and m.C12237T variants exhibited more severe mitochondrial dysfunctions and elevated oxidative stress than control cells:ATP,MMP,NAD+/NADH ratio,enzyme activities of RCCs and sOD levels were markedly decreased in mutant cells(Psures).By contrast,the levels of ROs,8-OhdG and MDA were significantly increased(Psures),but mtDNA copy number was not affected by m.A5514G and m.C12237T variants(P=0.5942).CONCLUsION The m.A5514G variant impaired mt-tRNA^(Trp)metabolism,which subsequent

Objective To investigate the serum lipid profiles of patients with localized osteosarcoma around the knee joint before and after neoadjuvant *** After retrospectively screening the data of 742 patients between January 2007 and July 2020,50 patients aged 13 to 39 years with Enneking stage II disease were included in the *** lipid levels,including total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),lipoprotein-α[Lp(a)],and apolipoprotein A1,B,and E(ApoA1,ApoB,and ApoE),and clinicopathological characteristics were collected before and after neoadjuvant *** The mean levels of TC,TG,and ApoB were significantly increased following neoadjuvant chemotherapy(16%,38%,and 20%,respectively,*** values;Ps of LDL-C and ApoE were also 19%and 16%higher,respectively(Ps found between the pretreatment lipid profile and the histologic response to *** increase in Lp(a)was strongly correlated with the Ki-67 index(R=0.31,P=0.023).Moreover,a trend toward longer disease-free survival(DFs)was observed in patients with decreased TG and increased LDL-C following chemotherapy,although this difference was not statistically significant(P=0.23 and P=0.24,respectively).Conclusion significant elevations in serum lipids were observed after neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with localized *** was no prognostic significance of pretreatment serum lipid levels on histologic response to neoadjuvant *** scale of increase in serum Lp(a)might have a potential prognostic role in *** with increased LDL-C or reduced TG after chemotherapy seem to exhibit a trend toward favorable DFs.

Vibrio parahaemolyticus,a gram-negative halophilic bacterium that naturally inhabits coastal waters,causes gastroenteritis,skin infections,and septicemia in human beings[1].This bacterium produces multiple virulence factors,including thermostable direct hemolysin(TDH),TDH-related hemolysin(TRH),type Ⅲ secretion system 1(T3ss1),T3ss2,type Ⅵ secretion system 1(T6ss1),and T6ss2[1].Furthermore,Ⅴ.parahaemolyticus forms biofilms on the surface,which help it in adapting to unfavorable conditions[2].Mature biofilm formation requires special structures,including lateral and polar flagella,exopolysaccharide(EPs),and type Ⅳ pili[2].

Objective:To analyze the application effect of feedforward control in outpatient blood specimen ***:1,200 patients who had their venous blood collected in outpatient phlebotomy room of our hospital's outpatient clinic from January 2021 to April 2021 were selected as study subjects and divided into 600 cases in the control group and 600 cases in the observation *** two groups of patients were compared in terms of their satisfaction with the staff,the efficiency of the nurses and the quality of nursing care,turnaround time before specimen analysis,the rejection rate of the blood specimens,and the time of result ***:After the implementation of feedforward control,patients'satisfaction with staff,nurses work efficiency and quality of care,turnaround time before specimen analysis,specimen rejection rate,and result reporting time in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(Psion:The application of feedforward control in the management of outpatient blood specimens has significant effect,which effectively improves patients'satisfaction,enhances the efficiency of nurses and the quality of nursing care,shortens the turnaround time of specimens before analysis and the reporting time of results,and reduces the rejection rate of specimens.

The prevalence of patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)and diabetes mellitus is notably high,posing sig-nificant residual cardiovascular risks even after routine interventions such as antihypertensive,lipid-lowering,and antithrombot-ic *** studies have demonstrated that certain glucose-lowering medications confer cardiovascular benefits for pa-tients with type 2 ***,a survey indicates that cardiologists may not be fully acquainted with the optimal screen-ing timing,indicators,and diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes,and there is insufficient awareness and a low rate of prescrip-tion of novel glucose-lowering medications with proven cardiovascular efficacy,such as glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agon-ists(GLP-1 RAs)and sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitors(sGLT-2i).In this context,based on domestic and international guidelines or consensus and the latest evidence-based evidence,this consensus aims to standardize the glycemic management for patients with acute coronary syndrome,chronic coronary syndrome,and perioperative management for percutaneous coronary *** highlights the key points of screening and diagnosis of type 2 diabetes,and the comprehensive management of cardiovascular risk in patients with *** consensus elaborates on the principles and algorithms of glycemic management for CHD patients,without involving acute complications of diabetes,clarifies the clinical practice of glucose-lowering medications with cardiovascular benefits,and promotes the standardized use of these medications in cardiovascular and other related spe-cialty ***,it addresses the glucose-lowering treatment to comprehensively reduce cardiovascular risks.

Objective:To understand the impact of respiratory rehabilitation nursing on the quality of life of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD),and to provide a theoretical basis for better clinical implementation of this nursing ***:68 COPD patients admitted from september 2022 to July 2023 were selected to determine the type of COPD(mild,moderate,severe)based on clinical manifestations and laboratory test results,and were divided into a study group(42 cases)and a control group(26 cases),with the control group adopting the conventional treatment plan,and the patients in the study group receiving individualized respiratory rehabilitation nursing *** patients’respiratory function and quality of life after treatment are ***:The total score of the study group(65.71±12.02)was significantly higher than that of the control group(52.73±11.54),and the difference was statistically significant(Ps of pulmonary function,the results of pulmonary function tests of the two groups of patients were in the normal range after treatment,and the study group was slightly better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(Pscore of the study group in terms of exercise endurance was significantly higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(Psion:Respiratory rehabilitation nursing can effectively improve the quality of life of COPD patients,and is worthy of popularization and application.
