Tunnel bottleneck management with high-occupancy vehicle priority on intelligent freeways

Due to the unknown nonlinear friction, there was a barricade preventing the precision of manipulators from further improvement. To overcome this challenge, the dynamic model of 2-degrees of freedom(DOF) robot manipulator based on LuGre friction is established in this paper. The adaptive sliding mode observer(ASMO) is used to estimate the immeasurable states, meanwhile the fuzzy logic system(FLS) to approximate the friction. Then, based on the adaptive sliding mode observer, a finite time fast terminal sliding mode(FFTSM) controller is developed. In particular, with the Lyapunov stability theory, the proposed scheme can be proved to make the errors be finite-time stable. Finally, simulation results show that the control scheme has a good control effect of the manipulators.

Tunnels on freeways,as one of the critical bottlenecks,frequently cause severe congestion and passenger *** solve the tunnel bottleneck problem,most of the existing research can be divided into two *** is to adopt variable speed limits(VSLs)to regulate a predetermined speed for vehicles to get through a bottleneck *** other is to adopt high-occupancy vehicle(HOV)lane *** HOV lane management strategies,all traffic is divided into HOVs and low-occupancy vehicles(LOVs).HOVs are vehicles with a driver and one or more *** are vehicles with only a *** kind of research can grant priority to HOVs by providing a dedicated HOV ***,the existing research cannot both mitigate congestion and maximize passenger-oriented *** address the research gap,this paper leverages connected and automated vehicle(CAV)technologies on intelligent freeways and develops a tunnel bottleneck management strategy with a dynamic HOV lane(DHL).The strategy bears the following features:1)enables tunnel bottleneck management at a microscopic level;2)maximizes passenger-oriented benefits;3)grants priority to HOVs even when the HOV lane is open to LOVs;4)allocates right-of-way segments for HOVs and LOVs in real time;and 5)performs well in a mixed-traffic *** proposed strategy is evaluated through comparison against the non-control baseline and a VSL *** analysis is conducted under different congestion levels and penetration *** results demonstrate that the proposed strategy outperforms in terms of passenger-oriented delay reduction and HOVs’priority level improvement.

Excavating super-large-span tunnels in soft rock masses presents significant *** ensure safety,the sequential excavation method is commonly *** utilizes internal temporary supports to spatially partition the tunnel face and divide the excavation into multiple ***,these internal supports generally impose spatial constraints,limiting the use of large-scale excavation equipment and reducing construction *** address this constraint,this study adopts the“Shed-frame”principle to explore the feasibility of an innovative support system,which aims to replace internal supports with prestressed anchor cables and thus provide a more spacious working space with fewer internal *** evaluate its effectiveness,a field case involving the excavation of a 24-m span tunnel in soft rock is presented,and an analysis of extensive field data is conducted to study the deformation characteristics of the surrounding rock and the mechanical behavior of the support *** results revealed that prestressed anchor cables integrated the initial support with the shed,creating an effective“shed-frame”system,which successively maintained tunnel deformation and frame stress levels within safe regulatory ***,the prestressed anchor cables bolstered the surrounding rock effectively and reduced the excavation-induced disturbance zone *** summary,the proposed support system balances construction efficiency and *** field experiences may offer valuable insights into the popularization and further development of prestressed anchor cable support systems.

Cutaneous exposure to food allergens through a disrupted skin barrier is recognized as an important cause of food allergy,and the cutaneous sensitized mouse model has been established to investigate relevant allergic ***,the role of different genetic backgrounds of mice on immune responses to food allergens upon epicutaneous sensitization is largely *** this study,two strains of mice,i.e.,the BALB/c and C57BL/6 mice,were epicutaneously sensitized with ovalbumin on atopic dermatitis(AD)-like skin lesions,followed by intragastric challenge to induce IgE-mediated food *** outcomes were measured as clinical signs,specific antibodies and cytokines,and immune cell subpopulations,as well as changes in intestinal barrier function and gut *** showed that both strains of mice exhibited typical food-allergic symptoms with a Th2-skewed *** C57BL/6 mice,rather than the BALB/c mice,were fitter for establishing an epicutaneously sensitized model of food allergy since a stronger Th2-biased response and severer disruptions in the intestinal barrier and gut homeostasis were *** study provides knowledge for selecting an appropriate mouse model to study food-allergic responses associated with AD-like skin lesions and highlights the role of genetic variations in the immune mechanism underlying pathogenesis of food allergy.

The moisture performance of building envelopes largely depends on the building materials,construction tech-niques,and exposure loads from the indoor and outdoor regions.A ventilated air interlayer placed in a wall can help dehumidify the wall and indoor *** paper presents an experimental study of the heat,air,and moisture variations within the envelope wall of a chamber featuring different air interlayer settings under real outdoor air conditions during the summer of 2020 in Shanghai,***-developed humidity-controlling building mate-rials were applied to the inner building ***,humidity,wind velocity,and heat-flow sensors were placed at different positions in the middle of the *** parameters were measured and recorded in real-time under three working conditions:humidification,dehumidification,and *** experimental results show that under the ventilation working conditions,moisture content of 0.52 kg can be removed after a 2-h air layer ventilation,which can benefit the design strategy for the humidification and ventilation of dehu-midification walls.

With the increasing dimensionality of network traffic,extracting effective traffic features and improving the identification accuracy of different intrusion traffic have become critical in intrusion detection systems(IDS).However,both unsupervised and semisupervised anomalous traffic detection methods suffer from the drawback of ignoring potential correlations between features,resulting in an analysis that is not an optimal ***,in order to extract more representative traffic features as well as to improve the accuracy of traffic identification,this paper proposes a feature dimensionality reduction method combining principal component analysis and Hotelling’s T^(2) and a multilayer convolutional bidirectional long short-term memory(MSC_BiLSTM)classifier model for network traffic intrusion *** method reduces the parameters and redundancy of the model by feature extraction and extracts the dependent features between the data by a bidirectional long short-term memory(BiLSTM)network,which fully considers the influence between the before and after *** network traffic is first characteristically downscaled by principal component analysis(PCA),and then the downscaled principal components are used as input to Hotelling’s T^(2) to compare the differences between *** datasets with outliers,Hotelling’s T^(2) can help identify the groups where the outliers are located and quantitatively measure the extent of the ***,a multilayer convolutional neural network and a BiLSTM network are used to extract the spatial and temporal features of network traffic *** empirical consequences exhibit that the suggested approach in this manuscript attains superior outcomes in precision,recall and F1-score juxtaposed with the prevailing *** results show that the intrusion detection accuracy,precision,and F1-score of the proposed MSC_BiLSTM model for the CIC-IDS 2017 dataset are 98.71%,95.97%,and 90.22%.

Energy mechanism of bolt supporting effect to fissured rock under static and dynamic loads in deep coal mines

The stability control of fissured rock is difficult,especially under static and dynamic loads in deep coal *** this paper,the dynamic mechanical properties,strain rate evolution and energy dissipation of fissured and anchored rocks were respectively obtained by SHPB *** was found that bolt can provide supporting efficiency-improving effect for fissured rock against dynamic disturbance,and this effect increased quadratically with decrease in anchoring ***,the energy dissipation mechanism of anchored rock was obtained by slipping ***,bolt energy-absorbing mechanism by instantaneous tensile-shear deformation was expressed based on material mechanics,which was the larger the anchoring angle,the smaller the energy absorption,and the less the contribution to supporting efficiency *** this basis,the functional relationship between energy dissipation of anchored rock and energy absorption of bolt was *** the coal-gangue separation system of Longgu coal mine as an example,the optimal anchoring angle can be determined as 57.5°–67.5°.Field monitoring showed fissured rock with the optimal anchoring angle,can not only effectively control the deformation,but also fully exert the energy-absorbing and efficiency-improving effect of bolt *** study provides guidance to the stability control and supporting design for deep engineering under the same or similar conditions.

Quartz-vein-type copper deposits were discovered in SN-trend ore-bearing structures in north-west Dayaoshan,*** of reports on the precise metallogenic age of these deposit has become a bottleneck in metallogenic research in this *** this study,the quartz vein-type copper mine in Longwei area of Jinxiu was selected as the research *** illite samples in the fault gouges and ore samples were collected for testing and *** on the Re-Os isotope dating study,the age of pyrite isochron,belonging to the Caledonian period,was determined to be 417±25 Ma,whereas that of chalcopyrite isochron belonging to the Indosinian period,was found to be 243±18 *** crystallized considerably earlier than *** obtained EPMA data were combined with rock mineralogical analysis data,Metasomatous mineral pyrite and metasomatic mineral chalcopyrite were identified to have originated from different hydrothermal *** the Indosinian period,copper deposits in the Longwei area underwent pyrite crystallization,pyrite fragmentation,copper-bearing hydrothermal filling,and metasomatism,consolidating and forming *** study determined the mineralisation time and ore sources of copper deposits in the Longwei *** study provides evidence for the existence of Indosinian hydrothermal activities in the north-western Dayaoshan area.

A thermodynamic model for predicting the equilibrium oxygens of 304 stainless steel was developed based on the theory of slag-steel equilibrium,the law of mass conservation,and the ion and molecule coexistence *** the developed model,the Fe-Cr-Mn-Si-Al-S-O-melts reaction system and CaO-MgO-CaF_(2)-FeO-MnO-Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-Cr2O_(3)slags were *** oxygen contents calculated by the model are in good agreement with experimental results and reference *** equilibrium oxygen contents in 304 stainless steel mainly decrease with increasing binary basicity(w(CaO)/w(SiO_(2)),where w(i)is the mass percentage of component i)and decreasing *** binary basicity at 2.0 while maintaining temperatures lower than 1823 K will keep the oxygen contents in the 304 stainless steel lower than 15×10^(-6).The equilibrium oxygen contents may also be decreased with increasing content of MgO in slags,which is more significant at lower binary ***,a small amount of FeO,MnO,and Al_(2)O_(3)(about 0-2.5 wt.%)in slags has little effect on equilibrium oxygen ***,it is found that the[C]-[O]reaction may occur during refining process but will not significantly affect the equilibrium oxygen contents.
