Objective:To investigate the abundance and seasonal dynamics of mosquitoes,and to detect Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV)in these mosquitoes at the nesting colony of ardeid ***:Mosquitoes were collected bimonthly from July 2009 to May 2010 by centers for Disease *** traps and dry ice,as a source of CO_2,were employed to attract *** were first identified,pooled into groups of upto 50 mosquitoes by species,and tested for JEV infection by viral isolation and reverse transcriptase polymerase chain ***:A total of 20370 mosquitoes comprising 14 species in five genera were *** five most abundant mosquito species collected were Culex tritaeniorhynchus(95.46%),Culex vishnui(2.68%),Culex gelidus(0.72%),Anopheles peditaeniatus(0.58%)and Culex quinquefasciatus(0.22%).Mosquito peak densities were observed in *** of 416 mosquito pools were negative for ***:This study provides new information about mosquito species and status of JEV infection in mosquitoes in *** study should be done to continue a close survey for the presence of this virus in the ardeid birds.

Molecular identification of hemoplasmas in free ranging non-human primates in Thailand

Objective: To survey hemoplasmas infection in free ranging non-human primates from 8 provinces in Thailand. Methods: DNA from ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid blood of 262 free ranging non-human primates were identified as hemoplasmas using PCR and phylogenetic analysis based on 16 S r RNA and rnp B genes. Results: A total of 148 non-human primates(56.49%) were determined positive for Candidatus Mycoplasma haemomacaque, including 125 Macaca fascicularis and 23 Macaca mulatta. Hemoplasmas can cause anemia in monkey but all positive samples were healthy. The positive rates in male and female non-human primates were not significantly different. Conclusions: Candidatus Mycoplasma infection is prevalent in free ranging Macaca fascicularis and Macaca mulatta in Thailand.

Objective: To determine the occurrence of Chlamydia *** wild birds in ***: Cloacal and tracheal swabs of 313 wild birds from 11 orders, 27 families, and 51 species were tested to determine the occurrence of Chlamydia *** outer membrane protein A(ompA) gene was amplified from positive samples to construct a phylogenetic ***: At the time of sample collection, none of the birds showed clinical signs of any *** 313 wild birds, two Asian openbill stork(Anastomus oscitans) were positive for Chlamydia spp., representing 0.64%(2/313) and 4.9%(2/41) occurrence for birds overall and for the Asian openbill stork, *** analysis based on deduced amino acid of the ompA gene showed that Chlamydia *** Asian openbill storks was closely related to that in wildfowl(Pica pica and Cygnus olor) from Poland in a different branch with a 95% bootstrap value and had a shorter evolutionary distance to Chlamydia ***: Asymptomatic Asian openbill storks could be a potential source of Chlamydia infection in domestic animals, poultry, and humans who share their habitat.

Objective:To detect and characterize Chlamydophila psittaci(***) in asymptomatic feral pigeons in central ***:A total 814 swabs from the trachea and cloacae of 407non-clinical feral pigeons in central Thailand were collected and tested for the presence of ***:A 10.8%of feral pigeons in the sample group were positive as determined by nested PCR primer specific to *** outer membrane protein A(orupA) gene of positive samples exhibited amino acid identity of *** ranging from 71 to 100%and were grouped in genotype ***,BF1676-56 isolate was closely related to Chlamydia avium with99%identification of the I6 S ribosomal(r) RNA ***:This is the first report on *** isolated from asymptomatic feral pigeons in Thailand,which provides knowledge for the disease status in pigeon populations in Thailand.

Salivary glands(SG)are exocrine organs with secretory units commonly injured by ***-engineered organoids and extracellular vesicles(EV)are currently under investigation as potential strategies for SG ***,three-dimensional(3D)cultures of SG functional organoids(SGo)and human dental pulp stem cells(hDPSC)were generated by magnetic 3D bioassembly(M3DB)*** growth factor 10(FGF10)was used to enrich the SGo in secretory epithelial *** 11 culture days via M3DB,SGo displayed SG-specific acinar epithelial units with functional properties upon *** consistently develop 3D hDPSC in vitro,3 culture days were sufficient to maintain hDPSC undifferentiated genotype and phenotype for EV *** isolation was performed via sequential centrifugation of the conditioned media of hDPSC and SGo *** were characterized by nanoparticle tracking analysis,electron microscopy and *** were in the exosome range for hDPSC(diameter:88.03±15.60 nm)and for SGo(123.15±63.06 nm).Upon ex vivo administration,exosomes derived from SGo significantly stimulated epithelial growth(up to 60%),mitosis,epithelial progenitors and neuronal growth in injured SG;however,such biological effects were less distinctive with the ones derived from ***,these exosome biological effects were investigated by proteomic *** spectrometry profiling of SGo exosomes predicted that cellular growth,development and signaling was due to known and undocumented molecular targets downstream of *** were identified as one of the novel targets requiring further ***,M3DB platforms can generate exosomes with potential to ameliorate SG epithelial damage.
