Insufficient intratumoral retention of nanomedicines remains the major challenge for broad implementation in clinical ***,we proposed a legumain-triggered aggregable gold nanoparticle(GNP)delivery platform(GNPs-A&C).GNPs-A&C could form intratumoral or intracellular aggregates in response to the overexpressed *** aggregates with size increase not only could reduce back-flow from interstitial space to peripheral bloodstream but also could restrict the cellular exocytosis,leading to enhanced intratumoral *** vitro studies demonstrated that GNPs-A&C possessed an excellent legumain responsiveness and the increased size was closely relevant with legumain *** vivo studies demonstrated GNPs-A&C possessed slower clearance rate and much higher intratumoral retention within legumain-overexpressed tumor compared to non-aggregable NPs,regardless of intravenous or intratumoral *** importantly,this delivery platform significantly improved the chemotherapeutic effect of doxorubicin(DOX)towards subcutaneous xenograft C6 *** effectiveness of this stimulus-responsive aggregable delivery system provides a thinking for designing more intelligent size-tunable nanomedicine that can substantially improve intratumoral retention.

Discrete Circular Distributions with Applications to Shared Orthologs of Paired Circular Genomes

For structural comparisons of paired prokaryotic genomes,an important topic in synthetic and evolutionary biology,the locations of shared orthologous genes(henceforth orthologs)are observed as binned *** and other data,e.g.,wind directions recorded at monitoring sites and intensive care unit arrival times on the 24-hour clock,are counted in binned circular arcs,thus modeling them by discrete circular distributions(DCDs)is *** propose a novel method to construct a DCD from a base continuous circular distribution(CCD).The probability mass function is defined to take the normalized values of the probability density function at some pre-fixed equidistant points on the *** families of constructed DCDs which have normalizing constants in closed form are *** studies show that DCDs outperform the corresponding CCDs in modeling grouped(discrete)circular data,and minimum chi-square estimation outperforms maximum likelihood estimation for *** apply the constructed DCDs,invariant wrapped Poisson and wrapped discrete skew Laplace to compare the structures of paired bacterial ***,discrete four-parameter wrapped Cauchy(nonnegative trigonometric sums)distribution models multi-modal shared orthologs in Clostridium(Sulfolobus)better than the others considered,in terms of AIC and Freedman’s goodness-of-fit *** result that different DCDs fit the shared orthologs is consistent with the fact they belong to two ***,these prokaryotes have a common favored site around 70°on the unit circle;this finding is important for building synthetic prokaryotic genomes in synthetic *** DCDs can also be applied to other binned circular data.

Shepherding Public Discourse Practices： Homiletic Form Aligned to the Logic Operative in Racial Rhetoric and Public Theological Discourse for Secular Liberal Democracies

Given that preaching is the primary mode of public theological discourse for most Christian ministers, an intellectual virtue of verbal restraint is required when practicing public theology and it is wise to address the ways that homilies can shepherd public discourse practices. A theology of rhetoric includes the homilist＇s moral purpose. Homilies either enhance public discourse or pervert it. This essay sketches a pattern of sermon movement that respects the logic operative in public theology, given the social context of America. Homilies can help cultivate the pastoral care of public rhetoric by modeling discourse that nurtures the politics of accountability. While many call for a public ethos where divergent moral voices engage each other in highly contested arenas, a precondition to practicing effective public theology requires that one exercises discourse in a way that respects the social limits on the free exercise of religion. It is important that a public theology of rhetoric clarifies the original social agreement for acceptable religious discourse in the public arena. Homiletics, as a dimension of practical theology, can teach preachers methods of pastoral care for public discourse. The social agreement in liberal democracies to contain the combative nature of religious discourse assumes a logic that is circumscribed by commitments to （1） religious pluralism, （2） theological agnosticism, and （3） epistemological pragmatism. Here we propose that a sermon＇s form, which implicitly touches upon these commitments, can tap into the basic modes of persuasion in secular liberal societies. This respects the moral purposes previously agreed upon and expected of partisans during highly contestable times. This calls for incarnational humility on the part of the Christian public theologian and it guides her/his practice.

Influence of RMB Cross-border Settlement on the Chinese Economy

In 2014, the amount of RMB cross-border settlement had reached RMB7.6tn. It is important to evaluate the potential influence of RMB internationalization on China＇s macroeconomy. In the present study, a framework that includes monetary supply and demand was created to analyze the influences of RMB cross-border settlement on China＇s domestic interest rate, asset price and foreign exchange reserves. It is found that RMB settlement in different BOP items leads to very different effects on China＇s real economy and the financial market. Based on the analysis, we provide a framework of the policy priorities for RMB internationalization, with the RMB cross-border settlement items divided into three groups with different priorities. Meanwhile, to support RMB internationalization, exchange rate reforms should be adopted as a priority and a prudent attitude maintained regarding capital account liberalization.

As one of the most popular visual programming languages,Scratch has a lot of evaluation around *** evaluation can help programmers understand their projects *** the same time,it can also provide a reference for them to browse other projects in the online *** of the existing evaluations on Scratch are carried from three perspectives:Computational thinking(CT)ability,visual presentation aesthetics,and code *** them,the assessment of CT and code quality is mainly carried out from the program script,while the evaluation of visual aesthetics is analyzed from the perspective of image sequences generated by project *** single-view evaluation focuses on the performance of a program in a certain aspect and is *** this paper,we propose a multi-view evaluation framework to integrate various evaluations using different *** quantitatively analyze the assessment of different views driven by *** with overall evaluations that represent human opinions,we analyze their differences and *** experiments,we determine the weights of different integration policies,the proposed multi-view evaluation method can generate evaluation results similar to human opinions.

In doing so, I build off of a general, but robust, theoretical framework designed to promote substantive self-reflection which orients the tactical suggestions for improving student learning. The recommendations are practical and easily adopted as resources for challenging students to develop general critical thinking skills and dispositions especially those addressing metacognition and questioning one＇s assumptions of knowledge and understanding.

The current model of economic growth generated unprecedented increases in human wealth and prosperity during the 19th and 2Oth centuries. The main mechanisms have been the rapid pace of technological and social innovation, human capital accumulation, and the conversion of resources and natural capital into more valuable forms of produced capital. However, there is evidence emerging that this model may be approaching environmental limits and planetary boundaries, and that the conversion of natural capital needs to slow down rapidly and then be reversed Some commentators have asserted that in order for this to occur, we will need to stop growing altogether and, instead, seek prosperity without growth. Others argue that environmental concerns are low-priority luxuries to be contemplated once global growth has properly returned to levels observed prior to the 2008 financial crisis. A third group argues that there is no trade-off and, instead,, promotes green growth： the （politically appealing） idea is that we can simultaneously grow and address our environmental problems. This paper provides a critical perspective on this debate and suggests that asubstantial researc＇h agenda is required to come to grips with these challenges. One place to start is with the relevant metrics： measures of per-capitawealth, and, eventually, quantitative measures of prosperity, alongside a dashboard of other sustainability indicators. A public andpoliticalfocus on wealth （a stock）, and its annual changes, could realistically complement the current focus on market-based gross output as measured by GDP （a flow）. This could have important policy implications, but deeper changes to governance and business models will be required.
