＜正＞An experiment was conducted to measure immtme competence, resistance to E. coli and growth in chicks of broiler parent lines, from four different commercial breeders. The chicks of each genotype were maintained on one of the three diets, which contained three levels of copper fed ad-libitum, through 1-35 days of age. The dietary levels of copper were 0, 8 and 80 ppm/Kg of diet. Body weights were recorded at 0, 14, 28 and 35 days of age and feed efficiencies were recorded pen wise at 0-14, 0-28 and 0-35 days of interval. At 14 days of age, chicks of two replicates of each diet in each genetic group were intravenously injected 0.1 ml of 0.5％ and 2.5％

A GOOD EXAMPLE OF parent ADVOCACY FOR RIGHTS IN INCLUSIVE EDUCATION IN CHINA

While children with disabilities experience exclusion and segregation in education, parents＇ involvement has been very limited due to the lack of parent support in China. Negative attitudes toward disability in an environment deeply influenced by the individual model of disability thinking makes it crucial for parents to advocate for their children＇s rights in inclusive education through collaborative and organized efforts. This article examines barriers obstructing disabled children＇s rights in pursuing inclusive education, barriers parents face to advocate for their children, and the development of parent support. The author argues that equal and inclusive education for all has a broader social impact beyond disability rights to eliminate barriers and pursue dignity for all. In doing so, the author reveals existing structural inequalities facing inclusive education, encourages the momentum for future changes, and utilizes a good example of parent advocacy for a deeper and meaningful policy advancement to overcome discrimination on the basis of disability that causes segregation and exclusion in education. Recommendations include strategies for the construction of a support network for parents to play their important roles in advancing the rights of their disabled children in inclusive education.

Purpose:This study explores the contributions and effectiveness of the Jockey Club“Giftedness into Flourishing Talents”project(project GIFT)in supporting learner diversity in gifted education,including meeting the educational and psychological needs of highly capable and gifted students in Hong ***/Approach/Methods:This study investigates the effectiveness of project GIFT in supporting the development of diversity in learning in 20 project *** close cooperation with project schools,project GIFT comprised six developmental areas:school development,curriculum development,teachers’professional development,parent empowerment,student development,and financial *** further assess the usefulness of the school-based support provided by project GIFT,this study examines the implementation of school-based gifted education in two project schools based on the aforementioned *** program in gifted education that intervened at both Level 1(whole class)and Level 2(pullout)of the three-tiered policy stipulated by the Hong Kong Education *** of the few gifted education programs implemented in Asia,project GIFT focused on six key components to specifically support high-ability and gifted students with diverse educational and affective *** study shows that project GIFT significantly enhanced diversity in learning,its collaboration with two key schools resulting in the successful enhancement of school development,professional development,curriculum development,student development,parent empowerment,and financial ***/Value:The article fills the research gap by examining the effectiveness of a schoolbased gifted education program focused on enriching and differentiating curricula for different regular and pull-out *** doing so,this article attests to the success of the program in addressing the educational and psychosocial needs of gifted students at local schools in Hong Kong.

Since 2014,"Bring Your Own Data"workshops(BYODs)have been organised to inform people about the process and benefits of making resources Findable,Accessible,Interoperable,and Reusable(FAIR,and the FAIRification process).The BYOD workshops'content and format differ depending on their goal,context,and the background and needs of ***-focused BYODs educate domain experts on how to make their data FAIR to find new answers to research ***-focused BYODs promote the benefits of making data FAIR and instruct project managers and policy-makers on the characteristics of FAIRification ***-focused BYODs gather software developers and experts on FAIR to implement or improve software resources that are used to support ***,these BYODs intend to foster collaboration between different types of stakeholders involved in data management,curation,and reuse(*** experts,trainers,developers,data owners,data analysts,FAIR experts).The BYODs also serve as an opportunity to learn what kind of support for FAIRification is needed from different communities and to develop teaching materials based on practical examples and *** this paper,we detail the three different structures of the BYODs and describe examples of early BYODs related to plant breeding data,and rare disease registries and biobanks,which have shaped the structure of the *** discuss the latest insights into making BYODs more productive by leveraging our almost ten years of training experience in these workshops,including successes and encountered ***,we examine how the participants'feedback has motivated the research on FAIR,including the development of workflows and software.

The soil resources of Sierra Leone remain an integral part of sustainable agricultural development but knowledge of the suitability of soils and their management requirements for a variety of land uses is still lacking to a greater extent. In this view, a detailed soil survey of three chiefdoms in Northern Sierra Leone was undertaken to evaluate the genesis of soils and interpret soil-landscape properties and their relationships using the toposequence and free style approach of soil survey. Three major soil types, viz, gravelly, gravel-free over gravel and gravel-free soils, formed either directly or indirectly from weathered and disintegrated parent materials of two geologic origins namely Rokel River Series (comprising of sandstone, shale and mudstone), and Granite and Acid Gneiss were identified. The gravelly soils are formed from sandstone and sandy shales of the Rokel River Series, which upon weathering released iron and hydrated oxides that hardened into plinthite upon drying. The gravel-free over gravel soils are formed from acid gneiss containing acid and intermediate igneous and metamorphic rocks, which upon weathering produced sandy clay textured soils whereas the gravel-free soils are derived from sedimentary rocks (shales and mudstones) of Rokel River Series, which upon weathering and action of organisms produced sandy clay loam and sandy clay textured soils. The gravel-free over gravel soils are mostly located in the summit and back slopes and show dark brown to dark yellowish-brown hue and moderate chroma, weak to moderate structure and absence of coarse fragments in the 0 - 40 cm layer, and a strong brown hue and high chroma, very weak fine angular blocky structure having abundance of coarse fragments from 40 cm and above. In these soils, the compactness of ironstone and sandstone gravels increases with depth. The gravel-free soils are found on three landscape positions, viz, back slopes, foot slopes and toe slopes.
