Na3V2（PO4）2O2F （VP） is recognized as a promising cathode material for sodium-ion batteries due to its stable structural framework and high specific *** functional theory （DFT） and finite element simulations show that incorporating SO42-into VP decreases its band gap,lowers the migration energy barrier,and ensures a uniform Na+concentration gradient and stress distribution during charge and discharge ***,the average Na+diffusion coefficient of Na3V2（PO4）1.95（SO4）0.05O2F（VPS-1） is roughly double that of VP,leading to enhanced rate capability (80 C,75.5 mAh g-1) and cycling stability (111.0 mAh g-1capacity after 1000 cycles at 10 C current density) for ***-1 exhibits outstanding fast-charging capabilities,achieving an 80%state of charge in just 8.1 *** assembled VPS-1//SbSn/NPC full cell demonstrated stable cycling over 200 cycles at a high 5 C current,maintaining an average coulombic efficiency of 95.35%.

Objective:A natural cyclic peptide previously isolated from Citrus medica was synthesized by coupling of tetrapep-tide units Boc-Leu-Pro-Trp-Leu-OMe and Boc-Ile-Ala-Ala-Gly-OMe after proper deprotection at carboxyl and amino terminals followed by cyclization of linear octapeptide segment. Methods:Solution phase technique was adopted for the synthesis of cyclooctapeptide-sarcodactylamide. Required tetrapeptide units were prepared by coupling of Boc-protected dipeptides viz. Boc-Leu-Pro-OH and Boc-Ile-Ala-OH with respective dipeptide methyl esters Trp-Leu-OMe and Ala-Gly-OMe. Cyclization of linear octapeptide unit was done by p-nitrophenyl ester method. The structure of synthesized cyclopolypeptide was elucidated by FTIR,1H NMR,13C NMR,FABMS spectral data and elemental analysis. The newly synthesized peptide was evaluated for dif-ferent pharmacological activities including antimicrobial,anthelmintic and cytotoxic activities. Results:Synthesis of sarcodac-tylamide was accomplished with >78% yield utilizing dicyclohexylcarbodiimide(DCC) as coupling agent. Newly synthesized peptide possessed potent cytotoxic activity against Dalton's lymphoma ascites(DLA) and Ehrlich's ascites carcinoma(EAC) cell lines,in addition to moderate anthelmintic activity against earthworms Megascoplex konkanensis,Pontoscotex corethruses and Eudrilus sp. Moreover,cyclopolypeptide displayed good antimicrobial activity against pathogenic fungi Candida albicans and Gram-negative bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa,in comparison to standard drugs griseofulvin and ciprofloxacin. Conclusion:Solution phase technique employing DCC and triethylamine(TEA) as base proved to be effective for the synthesis of natural cyclooctapeptide. N-methyl morpholine(NMM) was found to be a better base for the cyclization of linear octapeptide unit in comparison to TEA and pyridine.

The role of copper element has been an increasingly relevant topic in recent years in the fields of human and animal health, for both the study of new drugs and innovative food and feed supplements. This metal plays an important role in the central nervous system, where it is associated with glutamatergic signaling, and it is widely involved in inflammatory processes. Thus, diseases involving copper(Ⅱ) dyshomeostasis often have neurological symptoms, as exemplified by Alzheimer's and other diseases(such as Parkinson's and Wilson's diseases). Moreover, imbalanced copper ion concentrations have also been associated with diabetes and certain types of cancer, including glioma. In this paper, we propose a comprehensive overview of recent results that show the importance of these metal ions in several pathologies, mainly Alzheimer's disease, through the lens of the development and use of copper chelators as research compounds and potential therapeutics if included in multi-target hybrid drugs. Seeing how copper homeostasis is important for the well-being of animals as well as humans, we shortly describe the state of the art regarding the effects of copper and its chelators in agriculture, livestock rearing, and aquaculture, as ingredients for the formulation of feed supplements as well as to prevent the effects of pollution on animal productions.

A new Zn(Ⅱ) coordination polymer, [Zn(4-PP)(1,4-BDC)?(H_2O)]_n(1, 4-PP = 4-(1 H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine, 1,4-H_2BDC = 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid), has been synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction as well as elemental analysis, IR spectra, XRPD and TG. Structural analysis reveals that Zn(Ⅱ) ions are bridged by COO-from 1,4-BDC^(2-)to form a binuclear structure as the second building units(SBUs). Zn_2 clusters can be clarified as 4-connected nodes, so the framework of 1 can be considered as a 2 D(44?62)-sql sheet. Fluorescence measurements show that 1 has highly selective and sensitive detection of Fe^(3+) in water medium.

Cytotoxic activity of the chemical constituents of Clerodendrum indicum and Clerodendrum villosum roots

Objective： The roots of two Thai medicinal plants, Clerodendrum indicum and Clerodendrum villosum are found in traditional medicine practices. The aim of this research was to preliminarily study the cytotox- icity of extracts of their roots, and the parts that possessed cytotoxic activity were separated on a chro- matograph to identify their active compounds. Methods： The extracts of both plants were screened for cytotoxicity on the SW620 cell line and the com- pounds isolated from the active extracts were further evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against five human cancer cell lines, including SW620, ChaGo-K-1, HepG2, I（ATO-III and BT-474 using the 3-（4,5-dime thyl-2-thiazolyl）-2,5-diphenyll2-H-tetrazolium bromide （MTI＇） assay. Results： Dichloromethane extracts of C indicum and C. villosum were active against the SW620 cell line. Triterpenoids were mostly obtained from the extracts of these plants （0.28% and 1.02%, respectively） and exhibited varying degrees of cytotoxicity and specificity against the tested cell lines. Two triterpenoids, oleanolic acid 3-acetate and betulinic acid, displayed moderate to strong cytotoxicity toward all cancer cell lines, with 50% inhibitory concentration （ICso） values of 1.66-20.49 mmol/L, whereas 3β-hydroxy- D：Blfriedo-olean-5-ene and taraxerol were cytotoxic to only the SW620 cell line （ICso= 23.39 and 2.09 mmol/L, respectively）. Triterpenoid, lupeol, showed potent cytotoxicity on both SW620 （ICso= 1.99 mmol/L） and KATO-III cell lines （IC50 = 1.95 μmol/L）, while a fiavonoid, pectolinarigenin, displayed moderate cytotoxicity against these cells （IC50= 13.05 and 24.31 μmol/L, respectively）. Although the widely distributed steroid, stigmasterol, was effective against the SW620 cell line （1Cso = 2.79 μmol/L） and β-sitosterol was also active against SW620 （IC50 = 11.26 μmol/L）, BT-474 （IC50 = 14.11 μmol/L） and HepG2 cancer cells （IC50=20.47μmol/L）, none of the characteristic 24β-ethylsteroids of either Clerodendrum species were sh

The generation of various β-chiral sulfones bearing chiral cyclic sulfinamides through photoredox-catalyzed sulfur dioxide insertion with asymmetric radical cyclization is described. This method features a broad substrate scope and excellent stereospecificity. Computational studies reveal that the dispersion interaction between sulfinyl group and CH2SO2Ph group plays a crucial role in the stereoselectivity control.
