Influence of Yttrium Implantation on Oxidation Behavior of Co-40Cr Alloy at 900℃

The oxidation behavior of Co 40Cr alloy with and without yttrium implantation was studied at 900 ℃ in the air. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM), secondary ion massive spectroscopy(SIMS), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and high resolution electron microscopy(HREM) were used to study the forming mechanism of oxide film on the alloy. It is found that the binding energy of Cr on the alloy surface is decreased by yttrium implantation, thus the formation of protective Cr 2O 3 film on the substrate is accelerated. In the mean time, the binding energy of Cr inside the oxide scale is increased by yttrium implantation, and this would reduce the Cr 3+ cation diffusion through the film. Yttrium implantation decreases the grain size and the growing speed of oxide film. SIMS and TEM/HREM results show that some yttrium exists as small YCrO 3 particles at Cr 2O 3 grain boundary near the oxide/gas interface, and a few small Y 2O 3 particles exist near the substrate/oxide interface. Besides, yttrium may also segregate to Cr 2O 3 grain boundary as Y 3+ , reduce Cr 3+ cation diffusion and change the mechanical properties of the oxide film. The ability of anti oxidation of Co 40Cr alloy is greatly improved by yttrium implantation.

Phosphorus-based anode is a promising anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)due to its high specific capacity,however,suffers from poor electronic conductivity and unfavorable electrochemical *** metals such as copper(Cu)into phosphorus has been demonstrated to not only improve the electronic conductivity but also accommodate the volume change during cycling,yet the underline sodiation mechanism is not ***,take a copper phosphide and reduced graphene oxide(CuP_(2)/C)composite as an example,which delivers a high reversible capacity of>900 mAh/***,it is revealed that the native oxidation PO_(x)components of the CuP_(2)/C composite show higher electrochemical reversibility than the bulk Cu P_(2),based on a quantitative analysis of high-resolution solid-state^(31)P NMR,ex-situ XPS and synchrotron X-ray diffraction characterization *** sodiation products Na_(3)PO_(4) and Na_(4)P_(2)O_(7) derived from PO_(x) could react with Na-P alloys and regenerate to PO_(x) during charge process,which probably accounts for the high reversible capacity of the Cu P_(2)/C *** findings also illustrate that the phosphorus transforms into nanocrystalline Na_(3)P and Na_(x)P alloys,which laterally shows crystallization-amorphization evolution process during cycling.

Carbon and oxygen isotopes of marine carbonate rocks or fossil shells could indicate global sea-level relative ***,heavier carbon isotopes or lighter oxygen isotopes reflected rise of global sea-level relative changes,and vice *** carbonate rocks deposited before Tertiary,carbon isotope was more stable than oxygen isotope,and thus it was more suitable to indicate global sea-level relative *** time limit of the 3rd-order sequence(1-10Ma),large scale migration of carbonate platforms would not occur and carbonate productivity would not change greatly,therefore,a research method of marine tectonic sequence(i.e,a contrastive analysis method of carbon and oxygen isotopessedimentary cycles)was ***,the marine 3rd-order sequences were divided the global sealevel sequence which was controlled by global sea-level change and the tectonic sequence which was controlled by regional tectonic subsidence and *** global sea-level fluctuation indicated by carbon and oxygen isotopes were consistent with variation of sedimentary cycles and water depth of the global sea-level sequence,but were not consistent with variation of sedimentary cycles and water depth of the tectonic *** a case study of Ordovician in Tarim Basin,two 3rd-order global sea-level sequences were identified in the Lower Ordovician,while six 3rd-order tectonic sequences controlled by collision and compression between Arkin island arc,Kudi active continental margin uplift and Tarim Plate were identified in the Middle and Upper ***,OSQ6 in the Upper Ordovician(Lianglitage Formation)was a typical tectonic sequence.

Organic coatings are widely used to control the corrosion of steel structure. The anticorrosive property of these coatings depends on their barrier properties, making a separation between the corrosive medium and the substrate. But unavoidable completely small pores, cracks and other defects in organic coatings may cause ions, water, gases, and other corrosive species penetrate and distribute in the coatings, causing accumulation and swelling of coatings, so leading to the degradation of coatings. In addition, water affects the permeation of oxygen and other corrosive medium, consequently the presence of such substances at coating-metal interface promotes corrosion of metal substrate. So the absorbability of the coatings to water may be one of the most important factors in undercoating corrosion. In recent years, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) has been established and frequently used as a non-destructive testing method for assessing the performance of organic coatings, especially for the determination of the water content in organic coatings, since the capacitance of the coatings is sensitive to the penetration of water. So from EIS it can extract a wealth of information on the electrochemical corrosion of coated steels, especially, it can be utilized to assess organic coatings used under particular surroundings. The principle, methods and application of EIS on evaluating life-span and analyzing failure mechanism of organic coatings are also introduced briefly. Combining other analysis techniques such as XRD, SEM and FTIR with electrochemical technique, it will blaze a way in studying degradation mechanism of organic coatings and estimating their lifetime.

A new intelligent amperometric type of electrochemical hydrogen probe to measure hydrogen atom permeation rate in the metals was devised and developed. Combined with MCS51 single slice computer system, specially programmed software was designed for data sampling, logging, storing, processing, result judgment and data output controlling. The probe is portable and can be used in both lab and in site automatically.

New experimental results on the self diffesion of oxygen in Fe3O4 obtained with a high precision SIMS at 1079K allow to conclude the eristence of oxygen vacancies and of oxygen iron vacancy pairs coexisting selectively with different kinds of iron *** possibility of measuring the isotopic effect of the two tracers O17 and O18 is also examined.
