Background: The therapeutic evidence collected from well-designed studies is needed to help manage the global pandemic of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19). Evaluating the quality of therapeutic data collected during this most recent pandemic is important for improving future clinical research under similar ***: To assess the methodological quality and variability in implementation of randomized controlled trials(RCTs) for treating COVID-19, and to analyze the support that should be provided to improve data collected during an urgent pandemic *** strategy: Pub Med, Excerpta Medica Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang,and Chongqing VIP, and the preprint repositories including Social Science research Network and Med Rxiv were systematically searched, up to September 30, 2020, using the keywords "coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)," "2019 novel coronavirus(2019-n Co V)," "severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus-2(SARS-Co V-2)," "novel coronavirus pneumonia(NCP)," "randomized controlled trial(RCT)" and "random."Inclusion criteria: RCTs studying the treatment of COVID-19 were eligible for *** extraction and analysis: Screening of published RCTs for inclusion and data extraction were each conducted by two researchers. Analysis of general information on COVID-19 RCTs was done using descriptive statistics. Methodological quality was assessed using the risk-of-bias tools in the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions(Version 5.1.0). Variability in implementation was assessed by comparing consistency between RCT reports and registration ***: A total of 5886 COVID-19 RCTs were identified. The Ji De Sheng She Yao tablet (季德胜蛇药片）is a drug for snake-bites and insect bites. According to recent reports, this drug has been used to treat herpes zoster, hepatitis B, parotitis, nephrotic syndrome, acute conjunctivitis, recurrent aphtha, urticaria, etc.1 with good therapeutic effects. More than half of the AIDS patients suffered from herpes zoster. The area of skin lesion in AIDS patients is larger than that of the patients without AIDS and the pain lasts longer. Many cases have keloids and depigmentation for months, even severe pain till their death. Routine therapeutic methods are not satisfactory in therapeutic effects. The expert group of traditional chinese medicine for cooperative research on AIDS used Ji De Sheng She Yao tablets (季德胜蛇药片) to treat AIDS complicated by herpes zoster for the first time and the results are reported as follows.

Acute coronary syndrome, stroke and other ischemic events continue to be the most common causes of mortality and morbidity in the world, and their incidence is rapidly increasing in the developing nations. These cardiovascular disorders clinically manifest as acute atherothrombotic events. Application of oral antiplatelet drugs is a milestone in the therapy of cardiovascular diseases. However, the limited efficacy of these drugs in the setting of arterial thrombosis, their unfavorable side effects, cost-to-benefit issues and the drug resistance phenomenon substantiate the need for the development of new and more efficacious antithrombotic drugs. In recent years, with the progress in the study of the chinese medicine pharmacology, many chinese herbs and formulas, as well as active constituents have been reported to possess not only effects on platelet aggregation and activation but also beneficial roles in vascular functions. Compared with currently used antithrombotic agents, herb remedies exert antithrombotic effects in a multi-pathway and multi-target manner. This paper will cover the progress in research on the ameliorating effects of herbal remedies on thrombosis, with focusing on their protection of vascular endothelial cells and inhibition of platelet activation.

Despite many differences between traditional chinese medicine(TCM) and conventional medicine,the use of TCM in the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immune deficiency syndrome(HIV/AIDS) is increasingly recognized and accepted by patients. Recent research findings on the benefits of chinese herbal medicine on long-term survival in patients with HIV/AIDS are encouraging and hopeful, but inconclusive. More research is needed.

syndromes of coronary heart disease with angina pectoris were analyzed to provide guidance for clinical practice and to improve accuracy of traditional chinese medicine (TCM) diagnoses and efficacy of TCM treatment. A total of 860 cases with coronary heart disease with angina pectoris were selected from TCM Clinical research Information Sharing System for TCM clinics and research. syndromes were automatically extracted with the cluster method and were analyzed to provide objective evidence for clinical studies. Final syndrome classifications were recognized and confirmed by clinical experts. Popular syndromes included Qi and blood deficiency, blood stasis and obstruction collaterals, liver depression and spleen deficiency, and Qi stagnation and blood stasis. syndromes Qi and blood deficiency and blood stasis and obstruction collaterals accounted for 28.61% of total syndromes, whereas liver depression and spleen deficiency and Qi stagnation and blood stasis accounted for 26.44%. The main syndrome elements comprised Qi deficiency, blood deficiency, blood stasis, and Qi stagnation.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Jianpi Jieyu Decoction(JJD)for treating patients with mild-to-moderate depression of Xin(Heart)-Pi(Spleen)deficiency(XPD)***:In this multi-center,randomized,controlled study,140 patients with mild-to-moderate depression of XPD syndrome were included from Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of chinese Medical Sciences and Botou Hospital of traditional chinese medicine from December 2017 to December *** were randomly divided into JJD group and paroxetine group by using a random number table,with 70 cases in each *** patients in the JJD group were given JJD one dose per day(twice daily at morning and evening,100 m L each time),and the patients in the paroxetine group were given paroxetine(10 mg/d in week 1;20 mg/d in weeks 2-6),both orally administration for a total of 6 *** primary outcome was the change of 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD-17)score at week 6 from *** secondary outcomes included the Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)score,traditional chinese medicine Symptom Scale(TCMSS),and Clinlcal Global Impression(CGI)scores at the 2nd,4th,and 6th weekends of treatment,HAMD-17 response(defined as a reduction in score of>50%)and HAMD-17 remission(defined as a score of 7)at the end of the 6th week of *** events(AEs)were also ***:From baseline to week 6,the HAMD-17 scores decreased 10.2±4.0 and 9.1±4.9 points in the JJD and paroxetine groups,respectively(P=0.689).The HAMD-17 response occurred in 60%of patients in the JJD group and in 50%of those in the paroxetine group(P=0.292);HAMD-17 remission occurred in 45.7%and 30%of patients,respectively(P=0.128).The differences of CGI scores at the 6th week were not statistically significant(P>0.05).There were significant differences in HAMD-17 scores between the two groups at 2nd and 4th week(P=0.001 and P=0.014).The HAMA scores declined 8.1±3.0 and 6.9±4.3 points from baseline to week 6 in the JJD and paroxe

Development and evaluation of a traditional chinese medicine syndrome questionnaire for measuring sub-optimal health status in China

OBJECTIVE:Sub-optimal health status(SHS),in which a person's mind and body exists in a low-quality state of being between disease and health,has become a public health problem that cannot be ignored in *** measurement presents a challenge to the academic *** developed and evaluated a questionnaire from the perspective of traditional chinese medicine(TCM) that embodies the features of TCM syndrome diagnosis for measuring SHS in ***:The construction of the theoretical framework of the questionnaire was based on a literature review,an expert questionnaire survey and group *** subscales and questionnaire items were screened through a pilot study using statistical means and qualitative *** tests that were used included test-retest reliability,Cronbach's α coefficient,split-half reliability;validity tests included content validity,criterion validity,discrimination validity and construct ***:The final questionnaire,the SHSQ-50,included 50 five-class quantifiable items that encompassed nine subscales:liver stagnation syndrome,liver-Qi deficiency syndrome,spleen-Qi deficiency syndrome,liver-fire syndrome,heart-fire syndrome,stomach-fire syndrome,heart-Qi deficiency syndrome,lung-Qi deficiency syndrome and dampness *** were completed by 268 of the 288 SHS subjects(93.0%) and by 86 of the 94 healthy subjects(91.5%).The Cronbach α coefficients,split-half coefficients and stability coefficients ranged from 0.70 to 0.95,0.67 to 0.87 and 0.88 to 0.98,respectively,for the overall scores and *** Wilcoxon rank test showed statistically significant differences in the subscales and overall scores between the SHS group and the healthy group(P<0.01).Twelve factors with an eigenvalue greater than one were extracted by factor analysis and merged into nine factors,for which the cumulative contribution rate was 63.63%.The nine factors were corresponded to the overall structure of the ***
