After more than 10 years efforts on awareness raising and promotion, the concept of cleaner production (CP) has been adopting as a strategic approach to balance economic benefits and environmental protection for china’s industries. However, it is also found that clean technology is difficult to be adopted and implemented in Chinese small and Medium-sized Enterprises (sMEs) because of certain barriers. This paper investigates these barriers among three stakeholders--governments, enterprises and experts. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was employed to prioritize the relative importance of the twenty fine-selected barriers, which were classified into four barrier categories. The findings reveal that the exterior barriers of policy and financial barriers should be stressed rather than the inner barriers of technical and managerial barriers, although they are also very important. Absence of incentives on economic policies, lax enforcement of environmental regulations and high initial capital cost were the most important barriers to adoption of Clean Technologies (CT) in china.

Currently,the global carbon trading systems are fragmented and belong to different governments or are under the jurisdiction of different regions,resulting in a series of new problems,such as how to link dispersed trading systems,how to compare the emission reduction of various markets and other *** the development of the international carbon market is relatively immature with uncertain life expectancy and volatility during its short history,and there is a lack of quantitative data on the long-term record,the market could provide few risk management ***,with the launches of china's regional carbon trading pilots in seven provinces since 2013 and combined with the national voluntary emission trading system,carbon trading will become an important mechanism for china in achieving its emission reduction *** the first stage,the carbon finance market is at least faced with mechanism design risks,market supply risks and compliance ***,to secure the development of the carbon market and for public interest,relevant government departments of china should identify the risks facing the market and should make the basic principles and goals,such as ensuring effective trading and pricing mechanisms to avoid fraud and price manipulation,and balancing transparency and confidentiality of ***,the governments should develop a comprehensive carbon finance regulatory system covering regulatory legislation,regulatory institutions and their authorities,regulatory scope as well as regulatory objects.

Climate change has become one of the most serious challenges facing humanity; developing a low- carbon economy provides new opportunities for addressing this issue. Building a low-carbon city has been pursued by people with a high degree of enthusiasm in china. Different from actions at the national level and distinct from practices of developed countries, low-carbon development in Chinese cities should be placed on diverse concerns. Taking suzhou of Jiangsu Province of china as a case city, this paper adopts a scenario analysis approach to explore strategic focal points in the transition to a low- carbon city. Within this transition, we mainly focus on the different contributions from two factors-economic restruc- turing and technological upgrading. scenario analysis results show that 1） in the case of no breakthrough technologies, it is difficult to achieve absolute emission reductions; 2） technologies involved in optimizing energy structure and improving energy efficiency of basic service sectors should be highly emphasized in local planning; 3） in comparison with technological upgrading, economic structural adjustment could be a stronger contributor to mitigation, which is one of the main differences from developed countries. However, the key issue of economic restructuring is to promote the growth of emerging low- carbon industries, which requires not only a strategic choice of new industries but also an introduction of advanced low-carbon technologies. It is also found that establishing a local carbon emissions accounting system is a prerequisite and the first priority for realizing a low-carbon transition and government capacity buildings should be strengthened accordingly.

MnO and CeO2 powders were mechanically mixed by a spatula and by milling to obtain loose-contact and tight-contact mixed oxides,*** monoxides and their physical mixtures were characterized by X-ray diffraction（XRD）,Brunauer-Emmett-Teller（BET）,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPs）,Raman,O2 temperature-programmed desorption（O2-TPD）,H2 temperature-programmed reduction（H2-TPR） and NO temperature-programmed oxidation（NO-TPO）.The MnOx-CeO2 solid solutions did not form without any calcination *** oxidation state of manganese tended to increase while the ionic valence of cerium decreased in the mixed oxides,accompanied with the formation of oxygen *** long-ranged electronic interaction occured more significantly in the tight-contact mixture of MnO and *** formation of more Mn4＋and oxygen vacancies promoted the catalytic oxidation of NO in an oxygen-rich atmosphere.

As the most successful new energy storage device developed in recent decades,lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)are ubiquitous in the modern ***,current commercial LIBs comprising mainly intercalated cathode materials are limited by the theoretical energy density which cannot meet the high storing energy demanded by renewable *** to intercalation-type cathode materials,low-cost conversion-type cathode materials with a high theoretical specific capacity are expected to boost the overall energy of *** the different conversion cathode materials,metal fluorides have become a popular research subject for their environmental friendliness,low toxicity,wide voltage range,and high theoretical specific *** this review,we compare the energy storage performance of intercalation and conversion cathode materials based on thermodynamic calculation and summarize the main *** common conversion-type cathode materials are described and their respective reaction mechanisms are *** particular,the structural flaws and corresponding solutions and strategies are ***,we discussed the prospective of metal fluorides and other conversion cathode materials to guide further research in this important field.

Amyloid-beta-induced neuronal cell death contributes to cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s *** Reticulatae semen has diverse beneficial effects on neurodegenerative diseases,including Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases,however,the effect of Citri Reticulatae semen on Alzheimer’s disease remains *** the current study,the anti-apoptotic and autophagic roles of Citri Reticulatae semen extract on amyloid-beta-induced apoptosis in PC12 cells were first *** Reticulatae semen extract protected PC12 cells from amyloid-beta-induced apoptosis by attenuating the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio via activation of *** addition,Citri Reticulatae semen extract was confirmed to bind amyloid-beta as revealed by biolayer interferometry in vitro,and suppress amyloid-beta-induced pathology such as paralysis,in a transgenic Caenorhabditis elegans in vivo ***,genetically defective Caenorhabditis elegans further confirmed that the neuroprotective effect of Citri Reticulatae semen extract was *** importantly,Citri Reticulatae semen extract was confirmed to improve cognitive impairment,neuronal injury and amyloid-beta burden in 3×Tg Alzheimer’s disease *** revealed by both in vitro and in vivo models,these results suggest that Citri Reticulatae semen extract is a potential natural therapeutic agent for Alzheimer’s disease via its neuroprotective autophagic effects.

strontium was introduced into CeO2-ZrO2 mixed oxides(CZ) by doping and impregnation methods,and then Pt was impregnated on the sr-modified CZ to obtain the catalysts.X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-photon spectra(XPs),high-resolution transmission electronic microscopy(HRTEM) and H 2 temperature programmed reduction(TPR) were carried out to characterize the micro-structure and reducibility of *** oxygen storage capacity(OsC) was evaluated with CO serving as probe *** results showed that the incorporation of sr 2t in the lattice of CZ could promote the OsC properties by increasing the structure defects and enhancing the diffusion rate of oxygen from bulk to *** the sr-impregnated sample,the strong metal-support interaction(sMsI) between Pt and CZ was interrupted,since sr covered partial surface Ce *** interruption retarded the back-spillover effect occurring at the Pt/Ce interface at low temperature,resulting in the loss of ***,it was found that a part of impregnated sr 2t could partially diffuse from the surface to the inner atomic layers of CZ and partially incorporated in the lattice during the *** OsC performance of sr-impregnated sample therefore climbed remarkably with the rise of temperature.
