Boron is an ambitious fuel in energetic materials since its high heat release values,but its application is prohibited by low combustion efficiency and oxidization during *** polydopamine(PDA)was introduced into boron particles,investigating the impact of PDA content on the energetic behavior of *** results indicated that the PDA coating formed a fishing net structure on the surface of boron *** heat release results showed that the combustion calorific value of B@PDA was higher than that of the raw ***,the actual combustion heat of boron powder in B@10%PDA increased by 38.08%.Meanwhile,the DSC peak temperature decreased by 100.65℃under similar oxidation rate compared to raw ***,the B@PDA@AP and B@AP composites were prepared,and their combustion properties were *** was demonstrated that B@10%PDA@AP exhibited superior performance in terms of peak pressure and burning time,*** peak pressure is 12.43 kPa more than B@AP and burning time is 2.22 times higher than B@***,the coating of PDA effectively inhibits the oxidization of boron during storage and enhances the energetic behavior of boron and corresponding composites.

As a new concept,mass-entransy is one of the twins in the core of entransy *** can describe mass-transfer ability for masstransfer processes（MTPes）,just as thermal-entransy for describing heat-transfer ***,mass-entransy dissipation can be utilized to evaluate the loss of mass-transfer *** mass-entransy dissipation（MMED） is utilized to optimize one-way isothermal diffusive MTPes with mass-leakage and mass-transfer law(g ∝ Δ（c）,where c means concentration).For a given net amount of mass-transferred key components at the low-concentration side,optimality-condition for the MMED of isothermal diffusive MTPes is obtained by using the *** of the amount of mass-transferred and mass-leakage on optimal results are analyzed,and the obtained optimization profiles are compared with those for MTP profiles of constant-concentration-difference（c1-c2=const） and constant-concentration-ratio（c1/c2=const）.The product of square of key-component-concentration（KCC） difference between high-and low-concentration sides and inert component concentration at high-concentration side for the MMED of the MTP with no mass-leakage is a constant,and the optimal relationship of the KCCs between high-and low-concentration sides with mass-leakage is significantly different from the *** mass-leakage is relatively small,the MTP with c1-c2=const strategy is superior to that with c1/c2=const strategy,and the latter is superior to the former with an increase in mass-leakage.A combination of mass-entransy concept,finite-time thermodynamics,and averaged-optimization-method is a meaningful tool for optimizing MTPes.

Rare-earth silicates are promising environmental barrier coatings(EBCs)that can protect SiC_(f)/Si C_(m)substrates in next-genera tion gas turbine ***,RE_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)(RE=Yb and Ho)shows potential as an EBC due to its coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE)compatible with substrates and high resistance to water vapor *** target operating temperature for next-generation tur bine blades is 1400°*** is inevitable during adhesion to molten volcanic ash,and thus,understanding the corrosion behavior o the material is crucial to its *** study investigates the high-temperature corrosion behavior of sintered RE_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)(RE=Yb and Ho).Samples were prepared using a solid-state reaction and hot-press *** were then exposed to volcanic ash at 1400°C for 224,and 48 *** 48 h of exposure,volcanic ash did not react with Yb_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)but penetrated its interior,causing *** Ho_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)was partially dissolved in the molten volcanic ash,forming a reaction zone that prevented volcanic ash melts from penetrating the *** increasing heat treatment time,the reaction zone expanded,and the thickness of the acicular apatite grains increased The Ca:Si ratios in the residual volcanic ash were mostly unchanged for Yb_(2)Si_(2)O_(7)but decreased considerably over time for Ho_(2)Si_(2)O_(7).Th Ca in volcanic ash was consumed and formed apatite,indicating that RE^(3+)ions with large ionic radii(Ho>Yb)easily precipitated apatit from the volcanic ash.

We demonstrate a high power,Er:Lu AG single-longitudinal-mode laser in an anti-misaligned *** on the Faraday effect,a 1.61 W single-longitudinal-mode(SLM)laser is obtained with the double corner-cube-retroreflector(CCR)structure,and the tunable wavelength is 1649.2-1650.3 ***,we investigate the anti-misalignment characteristics when the CCR moves and rotates along the optical ***,by utilizing the Er:Lu AG amplifier,the maximum 2.32 W single-longitudinal-mode laser at 1649.6 nm is *** beam quality factors M^(2) of the 2.32 W Er:Lu AG single-longitudinal-mode laser are 1.23 and 1.25 along the horizontal(x)and vertical(y)directions,respectively.

Nonlinear intersubband polaritonic metasurfaces,which integrate giant nonlinear responses derived from intersubband transitions of multiple quantum wells(MQWs)with plasmonic nanoresonators,not only facilitate efficient frequency conversion at pump intensities on the order of few tens of kW cm^(-2)but also enable electrical modulation of nonlinear responses at the individual meta-atom level and dynamic beam *** electrical modulation characteristics of the magnitude and phase of the nonlinear optical response are realized through Stark tuning of the resonant intersubband *** this study,we report,for the first time,experimental implementations of electrical modulation characteristics of mid-infrared third-harmonic generation(THG)using an intersubband polaritonic metasurface based on MQW with electrically tunable third-order nonlinear ***,we achieved a 450%modulation depth of the THG signal,86%suppression of zero-order THG diffraction tuning based on local phase tuning exceeding 180 degrees,and THG beam steering using phase *** work proposes a new route for electrically tunable flat nonlinear optical elements with versatile functionalities.

High-order harmonic generation(HHG) of Ar atom in an elliptically polarized intense laser field is experimentally investigated in this ***,the anomalous ellipticity dependence on the laser ellipticity(ε) in the lower-order harmonics is observed,specifically in the 13rd-order,which displays a maximal harmonic intensity at ε ≈ 0.1,rather than at ε = 0 as *** contradicts the general trend of harmonic yield,which typically decreases with the increase of laser *** this study,we attribute this phenomenon to the disruption of the symmetry of the wave function by the Coulomb effect,leading to the generation of a harmonic with high *** finding provides valuable insights into the behavior of elliptically polarized harmonics and opens up a potential way for exploring new applications in ultrafast spectroscopy and light–matter interactions.

Formation behaviors of rod-like reactive shaped charge penetrator(RRSCP)and their effects on damage capability are investigated by experiments and numerical *** pulsed X-ray technology and a spaced aluminum/steel plate with the thicknesses of 5 mm/100 mm are *** types of sphericalsegment aluminum-polytetrafluoroethylene-copper(Al-PTFE-Cu)reactive liners with Cu contents of 0%,46.6%,and 66%are fabricated and *** experimental results show that the reactive liners can form excellent rod-shaped penetrators with tail skirts under the shaped charge effect,but the tail skirts disappear over ***,rupturing damage to the aluminum plate and penetration to the steel plate are caused by the RRSCP *** simulation analysis,the RRSCP is formed by a mechanically and chemically coupled response with the reactive liner activated by shock in its outer walls and bottom and then backward overturning,forming a leading reactive penetrator and a following chemical energy *** unique formation structure determines the damage modes of the aluminum plate and the steel *** analysis indicates that the formation behaviors and damage capability of Al-PTFE-Cu RRSCP strongly depend on Cu *** increasing Cu content,the velocity,activation extent,and reaction extent of Al-PTFE-Cu RRSCP decrease,which contribute to elongation and alleviate the negative effects of chemical reactions on elongation,significantly increasing the length-diameter ratio and thus enhancing the capability of steel plate ***,the lower activation extent and energetic density will weaken the RRSCP's capability of causing rupturing damage to the aluminum plate.

In this report,W^(6+)doping as a defect engineering strategy has been proposed to improve the electrochromic properties of NiO *** research was conducted to explore the electrochromic properties and the modified mechanism of W-doped NiO *** to the pure NiO,W-doped NiO film exhibits improved electrochromic properties with significant optical modulation(61.56%at 550 nm),fast switching speed(4.42 s/1.40 s for coloring/bleaching),high coloration efficiency(45.41 cm^(2)·C-1)and outstanding cycling stability(no significant attenuation after 2000 cycles)in Li-based *** functional theory(DFT)calculations combined with the experimental results indicate that the improved electrochromic properties were due to enhanced the electronic conductivity and ion conductivity after the introduction of W^(6+).The charge capacity of W-doped NiO has also been improved,and it can function with WO_(3) to achieve a high performance black electrochromic smart window(ECSW)by balancing *** work could advance the fundamental understanding of defect engineering as an effective strategy to boost the electrochromic properties of NiO anodic material,manifesting a significant development as a candidate counter electrode in high-performance black smart windows.

In the quest for the development of thermally stable,highly active and low-cost catalysts for use in catalyzed diesel particulate filter,nano-composites are new areas of ***,we reported the easy synthesis of spinel NiCo_(2)O_(4)/perovskite LaCoO_(3) nano-composite,and its individual oxides NiCo_(2)O_(4)and LaCoO_(3) for *** detailed insights into the physio-chemical characteristics of formed NiCo_(2)O_(4)/LaCoO_(3) nano-composite were done based on various characterization analysis such as X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR),N_(2) physiosorption,scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy(SEM-EDX),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The characterization analysis of NiCo_(2)O_(4)/LaCoO_(3) revealed the successful formation of a chemical interface possessing strong interfacial interaction,resulting in desirable physicochemical characteristics such as small crystallite size,abundant mesoporosity,high specific surface area and activation of surface lattice *** to the desirable characteristics,the activity results over NiCo_(2)O_(4)/LaCoO_(3) nano-composite showed the excellent CO oxidation performance and high soot oxidation activity,recyclability and thermal *** work mainly attempts to emphasize the effectiveness of the facile,inexpensive and conventionally used precipitation method for the successful formation of highly efficient nano-composites.
