BACKGROUND Pulmonary mucoepidermoid carcinoma(PMEC)is a rare malignancy that arises from minor salivary glands within the tracheobronchial *** clear cell variant of PMEC is exceptionally uncommon and presents notable diagnostic challenges,primarily attributable to its morphological similarity to other tumors containing clear *** SUMMARY A 22-year-old male,formerly in good health,came in with a two-month duration of persistent cough and production of *** imaging and bronchoscopy examinations revealed a 2 cm tumor in the distal left main bronchus,which resulted in complete atelectasis of the left *** assessment via positron emission tomography/computed tomography scans and endoscopic biopsy confirmed the primary malignant nature of the tumor,charac-terized by clear cell morphology in most of the tumor *** patient underwent a left lower lobe sleeve resection accompanied by systematic mediastinal lymph node *** pathology analysis subsequently revealed a CRTC3-MAML2 gene fusion,leading to a definitive pathological diagnosis of the clear cell variant of PMEC,staged as *** surgery,the patient experienced a smooth recovery and exhibited no signs of recurrence during the one-and-a-half-year follow-up *** This article describes an unusual case of a clear cell variant of PMEC characterized by the presence of a CRTC3-MAML2 gene fusion in a 22-year-old *** patient underwent successful left lower lobe sleeve *** case underscores the distinctive challenges associated with diagnosing and treating this uncommon malignancy,underscoring the importance of precise diagnosis and personalized treatment strategies.

Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent regulatory cell necrosis induced by iron overload and lipid *** occurs when multiple redoxactive enzymes are ectopically expressed or show abnormal ***,the precise regulation of ferroptosis-related molecules is mediated across multiple levels,including transcriptional,posttranscriptional,translational,and epigenetic levels.N^(6)-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)is a highly evolutionarily conserved epigenetic modification in *** m^(6)A modification is commonly linked to tumor proliferation,progression,and therapy resistance because it is involved in RNA metabolic ***,accumulating evidence suggests that dysregulated ferroptosis caused by the m^(6)A modification drives tumor *** this review,we summarized the roles of m^(6)A regulators in ferroptosis-mediated malignant tumor progression and outlined the m^(6)A regulatory mechanism involved in ferroptosis *** also analyzed the potential value and application strategies of targeting m^(6)A/ferroptosis pathway in the clinical diagnosis and therapy of tumors.

Adhesion molecules mediate cell-to-cell and cell-to-extracellular matrix interactions and transmit mechanical and chemical signals among *** mechanisms deregulate adhesion molecules in cancer,enabling tumor cells to proliferate without restraint,invade through tissue boundaries,escape from immune surveillance,and survive in the tumor *** studies have revealed that adhesion molecules also drive angiogenesis,reshape metabolism,and are involved in stem cell *** this review,we summarize the functions and mechanisms of adhesion molecules in cancer and the tumor microenvironment,as well as the therapeutic strategies targeting adhesion *** studies have implications for furthering our understanding of adhesion molecules in cancer and providing a paradigm for exploring novel therapeutic approaches.

Cellular metabolism is the fundamental process by which cells maintain growth and *** produces energy,furnishes raw materials,and intermedi-ates for biomolecule synthesis,and modulates enzyme activity to sustain normal cellular *** metabolism is the foundation of cellular life processes and plays a regulatory role in various biological functions,including pro-grammed cell *** is a recently discovered form of iron-dependent programmed cell *** inhibition of ferroptosis plays a crucial role in tumorigenesis and tumor ***,the role of cellular metabolism,particularly glucose and amino acid metabolism,in cancer ferroptosis is not well ***,we reviewed glucose,lipid,amino acid,iron and sele-nium metabolism involvement in cancer cell ferroptosis to elucidate the impact of different metabolic pathways on this ***,we provided a detailed overview of agents used to induce cancer *** explained that the metabolism of tumor cells plays a crucial role in maintaining intracellu-lar redox homeostasis and that disrupting the normal metabolic processes in these cells renders them more susceptible to iron-induced cell death,resulting in enhanced tumor cell *** combination of ferroptosis inducers and cel-lular metabolism inhibitors may be a novel approach to future cancer therapy and an important strategy to advance the development of treatments.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the uncertainty of 2πcx and 2πβsurface emission rates using the windowless multiwire proportional counter *** study used the Monte Carlo method(MCM)to validate the conventional Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement(GUM)method.A dead time mea surement model for the two-source method was established based on the cha racteristics of a single--channel measurement systemn,and the voltage threshold correction factor measurement function was indi rectly obtained by fitting the threshold correction *** uncertainty in the surface emission rate was calculated using the GUM method and the law of propagation of *** MCM provided clear definitions for each input quantity and its uncertainty distribution,and the simulation training was realized witha complete and complex mathematical *** results of the surface emission rate uncertainty evaluation for four radioactive plane sources using both methods showed the uncertainty's consistency E_(n)<0.070 for the comparison of each source,and the uncertainty results ofthe GUM were all lower than those of the ***,the MCM has a more objective evaluation process and can serve as a validation tool for GUM results.

It occurs when multiple redoxactive enzymes are ectopically expressed or show abnormal function. Hence, the precise regulation of ferroptosis-related molecules is mediated across multiple levels, including transcriptional, posttranscriptional, translational, and epigenetic levels. N6-methyladenosine(m6A) is a highly evolutionarily conserved epigenetic modification in mammals. The m6A modification is commonly linked to tumor proliferation, progression, and therapy resistance because it is involved in RNA metabolic processes. Intriguingly, accumulating evidence suggests that dysregulated ferroptosis caused by the m6A modification drives tumor development. In this review, we summarized the roles of m6A regulators in ferroptosis-mediated malignant tumor progression and outlined the m6A regulatory mechanism involved in ferroptosis pathways. We also analyzed the potential value and application strategies of targeting m6A/ferroptosis pathway in the clinical diagnosis and therapy of tumors.

Background:Curcumin is a plant polyphenol with antitumor properties and inhibits the development of colorectal cancer(CRC).However,as the molecular mechanism associated is still unclear,our study aimed to explore the underlying molecular mechanisms by which curcumin inhibits ***:HT29 and SW480 cells were treated with curcumin or/and Doxycycline(DOX),and cell viability,colony forming ability,migration and invasion were conﬁrmed by cell counting kit-8(CCK-8),colony forming,Transwell *** Yes-associated protein 1(YAP)and PDZ-binding motif(TAZ)signaling-related genes or proteins were analyzed using reverse transcription quantitative real-time PCR(RT-qPCR),western blot,and immunoﬂuorescence *** nude mice xenograft tumor model was constructed,YAP and Ki67 expressions were tested by immunohistochemistry(IHC)***:In our study,we proved that curcumin signiﬁcantly inhibited the CRC cell viability,cell migration,and cell invasion *** addition,curcumin inhibited YAP and Transcriptional coactivator with TAZ or the YAP/TAZ signaling axis in CRC ***,in the nude mice model,curcumin treatment signiﬁcantly decreased the size and weight of xenotransplant ***:Therefore,curcumin signiﬁcantly inhibited CRC development and invasion by regulating the YAP/TAZ signaling axis.
