Zinc-air batteries (ZABs) offer tremendous potential in various industries and daily life due to their excellent energy density,safety and ***,the practical application of ZABs has been severely hindered by challenges such as high low round-trip efficiencies and overpotential,primarily attributed to the inherent sluggish kinetics in the oxygen evolution reaction(OER) of air *** address these issues effectively and eco.omically,heterojunction engineering acco.panied by interfacial chemistry emerges as an ideal approach to designing efficient OER ***,a novel heterogeneous interfacial chemical structure,namely Nico./NiFe LDH (layered double hydroxide),needle-like Nico. and NiFe LDH nanosheets were assembled from co.es and shells,***,the Nico./NiFe LDH-based ZABs have an exceptionally long cycle life of 238 h,far superior to Pt/C+Ir/C batteries (～97 h).theoretical calculations and experimental results demonstrate that Nico./NiFe LDH possesses tunable interfacial chemistry,demonstrating significant electronic,co.rdination,geometric and synergistic *** enhancements dramatically improve the active site density,intrinsic activity and electrochemical durability of the *** summary,this work provides a solid foundation for the development of co.teffective OER electrocatalysts for electrochemical energy devices.

the location monitoring of underground pipelines is of utmost significance as it helps the effective management and maintenance of the pipelines,and facilitates the planning of nearby projects,preventing damage to the ***,currently there is a serious lack of data on the locations of underground *** paper proposes an image-based approach for monitoring the locations of underground pipelines by co.bing deep learning and visual-based *** proposed approach can build the monitoring model for underground pipelines and characterize their locations through their centroid *** advantages are:(1)simplicity:it only requires time-sequential images of the inner walls of underground pipelines;(2)clarity:the location model and the location curve of underground pipelines can be provided quickly;(3)robustness:it can co.e with some existing problems in underground pipelines,such as light variations and small viewing angles.A lightweight approach for monitoring the locations of underground pipelines is *** proposed approach’s effectiveness has been validated through laboratory simulation experiments,demonstrating accuracy at the millimeter level.

Occurrence and vertical distribution of aluminum and rare earths in weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ore:Effect of soil solution pH and clay minerals

Weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ore is crucial source of medium and heavy rare earths,with in-situ leaching being the most co.mon mining *** high co.tents of impurity of aluminum in the leach solution are a significant challenge for the subsequent enrichment process of rare earths.A co.prehensive understanding of the occurrences and vertical distribution of aluminum and rare earths within typical vertical profiles can provide valuable insights into entire design of the in-situ *** paper improves a five-step sequential extraction method to analyze the occurrence and vertical distribution of rare earths and aluminum in vertical profiles from Chongzuo and *** results demonstrate that soil solution pH is the main factor affecting the vertical distribution of ionexchangeable rare *** samples have distinct areas of enrichment for ion-exchangeable rare earths or ***-exchangeable rare earths are primary co.centrated in the middle and lower parts of the ore layer(4-13 m in Chongzuo,14-22 m in Longyan),while the ion-exchangeable aluminum is mainly enriched in the upper part of the ore layer(1-5 m in Chongzuo,and 2-14 m in Longyan).the vertical distribution of inorganic hydroxy aluminum is likely influenced by the micromorphology and particle size of the clay *** inorganic hydroxy aluminum co.centration in Chongzuo samples decreases co.tinuously from 415.65 to 120.95 mg/kg with increasing sampling depth,whereas the co.centration in Longyan samples(110.55-171.27 mg/kg)is almost independence with sampling *** results provide direct guidance for the entire design of the injection well depth and the leaching parameters,thereby inhibiting the leaching of impurity of aluminum and lower the co.sumption of leaching agent.

Road sub-surface defect detection based on gprMax forward simulation-sample generation and Swin Transformer-YOLOX

Training samples for deep learning networks are typically obtained through various field experiments,which require significant manpower,resource and time ***,it is possible to utilize simulated data to augment the training *** this paper,by co.paring the actual experimental model with the simulated model generated by the gprMax[1]forward simulation method,the feasibility of obtaining simulated samples through gprMax simulation is ***,the samples generated by gprMax forward simulation are used for training the network to detect objects in existing real *** the same time,aiming at the detection and intelligent reco.nition of road sub-surface defects,the Swin-YOLOX algorithm is introduced,and the excellence of the detection network,which is improved by augmenting the simulated samples with real samples,is further *** co.paring the prediction performance of the object detection models,it is observed that the model trained with mixed samples achieved a recall of 94.74%and a mean average precision(maP)of 97.71%,surpassing the model trained only on real samples by 12.95%and 15.64%,*** feasibility and excellence of training the model with mixed samples are *** potential of using a fusion of simulated and existing real samples instead of repeatedly acquiring new real samples by field experiment is demonstrated by this study,thereby improving detection efficiency,saving resources,and providing a new approach to the problem of multiple interpretations in ground penetrating radar(GPR)data.

Calculation method for the formation time of dynamic filter cake in slurry shield tunneling

In slurry shield tunneling,the stability of tunnel face is closely related to the filter *** cutting of the cutterhead has negative impact on the formation of filter *** study focuses on the formation time of dynamic filter cake co.sidering the filtration effect and rotation of *** effect is the key factor for slurry infiltration.A multilayer slurry infiltration experiment system is designed to investigate the variation of filtrate rheological property in infiltration *** mass co.centration C_(L),soil permeability co.fficient k,the particle diameter ratio between soil equivalent grain size and representative diameter of slurry particles d_(10)/D_(85) are selected as independent design variables to fit the co.putational formula of filtration *** on the relative relation between the mass of deposited particles in soil pores and infiltration time,a mathematical model for calculating the formation time of dynamic filter cake is proposed by co.bining the formation criteria and formation rate of external filter *** accuracy of the proposed model is verified through existing experiment *** results show that filtration co.fficient is positively co.related with slurry mass co.centration,while negatively co.related with the soil permeability co.fficient and the particle diameter ratio between soil and *** infiltration distance increases,the adsorption capacity of soil skeleton to slurry particles gradually *** formation time of external filter cake is significantly lower than internal filter cake and the ratio is approximately *** the dynamic cutting of the cutterhead,the formation time is positively associated with the rotation speed of cutter head,while negatively with the phase angle difference between adjacent cutter *** formation rate of external filter cake is greater than 98%when d_(10)/D_(85)≤*** increasing the co.tent or decreasing the diameter size of solid-phase

Tungsten separation behavior on preparation of high-purity cerium by co.bined vacuum gravity sedimentation-directional solidification

In light of the difficult removal of harmful impurity tungsten(W)in Ce metal,in this paper a co.bined vacuum gravity sedimentation-directional solidification method was innovatively designed and the W separation behavior was *** reducing the electron beam power instantly and gradually at reduction rates of 1,3 and 5 kW/min,it is found that W is enriched at the bottom of ingots as the melt *** enrichment effect is much better than that of single purification method and the enrichment degree increases as the beam reduction rate decreases,attributed to the k0(W)>1 andρ(W)>ρ(Ce).Overall,the minimum co.tent of W impurity can decrease from 630 to 0.1 ppm at the top of the ingot,and the purity of Ce increases from 99.932 wt%to 99.995 wt%by this co.bined ***,this paper provides a new method for the removal of high density and low evaporation co.fficient impurities in low vapor pressure rare earth metals.

Precipitation evolution and properties of Cu-15Ni-8Sn alloys via Al microalloying during ageing

Studies have shown that microalloying Cu-Ni-Sn alloys using Al inhibits disco.tinuous precipitation reactions;however,the mechanism has not been investigated ***,this study explored the properties and precipitation evolution of Cu-15Ni-8Sn alloys without and with 1 wt%Al（Cu-15Ni-8Sn-1Al） during ageing at 500℃ through X-ray diffraction （XRD）,scanning electron microsco.y and high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron *** results revealed that in Cu-15Ni-8Sn alloy,DO22ordering first occurred after spinodal deco.position,subsequently transitioning to an L12ordering phase,during which the disco.tinuous precipitates gradually nucleated at the grain boundaries and formed *** alloy hardness increased sharply with ordering and then decreased rapidly after reaching its peak value,due to the dominance of the disco.tinuous precipitation ***,the DO22ordered phase did not appear during the ageing of Cu-15Ni-8Sn-1Al alloy,and a Ni3(Alx,Sn1-x) intermetallic co.pound with L12structure was formed,co.suming Ni and Sn atoms,thereby significantly suppressing the disco.tinuous precipitation reaction and improving the stability during prolonged *** tensile strength （yield strength） of Cu-15Ni-8Sn and Cu-15Ni-8Sn-1Al alloys at peak hardness were 855 （755） and 936 MPa （892 MPa）,respectively,and their main strengthening mechanisms were solid solution strengthening and precipitation *** addition of 1 wt% Al effectively improved the precipitation strengthening effect of Cu-Ni-Sn alloys but severely decreased the ductility.

Mechanism of a dual-phase Ti-Nb alloy exhibiting near-linear elastic deformation

In this work,the underlying mechanism responsible for the near-linear elastic deformation behavior of a dual-phase Ti-Nb alloy co.sisting of β and α'' phase with large reco.erable strain was systematically *** on in situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction(SXRD)analyses,it was found that besides intrinsic elastic deformation,a slight reversible β-α'' stress-induced martensitic(SIM)transformation,which proceeded in a co.secutive mode under the retarding effect of micro-defects,took place during the near-linear elastic *** unloading,a small amount of residual macrosco.ic strain remained in the specimen due to the inco.plete reverse α''→β transformation on *** high near-linear elastic deformability of the co.d drawing(CD)Ti-Nb alloy has been revealed to be attributed to the co.pling actions of intrinsic elasticity as well as the co.secutive and reversible β-α'' SIM *** research may co.tribute to a new avenue for the design and development of novel dual-phase Ti-based alloys with desirable elastic deformability.

the rapid discharge of cuttings from the air cushion chamber is crucial for the co.struction safety and excavation efficiency of the slurry *** studies have mainly focused on the transport characteristics of cuttings in the slurry discharge pipe,while the co.plete process of cuttings entering the slurry discharge pipe from the air cushion chamber until they are discharged was often *** on the CFD-DEM co.pling method and co.bined with actual engineering,this paper established a numerical model that can more co.pletely reflect the cuttings discharge process during slurry shield tunneling,and the effects of the slurry velocity at slurry gate and sco.ring pipes,inclination angle of slurry discharge pipe,cuttings diameter and shape co.fficient were investigated by analyzing the variation in the mass flow rate,mass of discharged cuttings,and discharged *** results revealed that increasing the slurry velocity can promote the discharge of *** keep the discharged rate at a high level,it is reco.mended that the slurry velocity at the slurry gate should be greater than 0.15 m/*** the inclination angle of the discharge pipe is co.ducive to the rapid discharge of *** with large diameter or small shape co.fficient are more prone to accumulate in the air cushion chamber and cause clogging *** research results not only help to improve engineers'understanding of cuttings discharge in slurry shield,but also provide practical guidance for formulating relevant co.struction measures.

Cyber-Physical Resilience Enhancement for Power Transmission Systems with Energy Storage Systems

In a power system, when extreme events occur, such as ice storm, large scale blackouts may be unavoidable. Such small probability but high risk events have huge impact on power systems. Most resilience research in power systems only co.siders faults on the physical side, which would lead to overly idealistic results. this paper proposes a two-stage cyber-physical resilience enhancement method co.sidering energy storage (ES) systems. the first stage calculates optimal planning of ES systems, and the seco.d stage assesses resilience and enhancement of ES systems during the disaster. In the proposed model, cyber faults indirectly damage the system by disabling monitoring and co.trol function of co.trol center. As a result, when detection and response process of physical faults are blocked by cyber failures, serious load shedding occurs. Such a cyber-physical co.pling mechanism of fault, response, restoration process is demonstrated in the modified IEEE Reliable Test System-79 (RTS-79). Simulation results show co.pared with the physical-only system, the cyber-physical system has a more accurate but degraded resilient performance. Besides, ES systems setting at proper place effectively enhance resilience of the cyber-physical transmission system with less load Shedding.
