Psychometric Validation of the Persian Version of the Cannabis Use Disorder Identification test

The purpose of this paper is to look into how reliable and valid the Persian version of the Cannabis Use Disorder Identification test-Revised (CUDIT-R-Pr) is. It will also compare the screening features of the CUDIT-R with those of the DSM-5 criteria for cannabis use disorder (CUD) based on the SCID-5-CT in a group of university students in Tehran, Iran. The study used the stratified random sampling technique to collect data from 541 students (19 to 24 years old) who used cannabis in Tehran universities in 2024. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the uni-dimensionality of the CUDIT-R-Pr. We checked the reliability of the CUDIT-R-Pr using Cronbach Alpha, split-half, inter-rater, test-retest stability over time, and parallel testing equivalence. The results indicated that CUDIT-R-Pr is reliable, reproducible, and responsive, with substantial agreement and adequate interpretability. The CUDIT-R shows that it can tell the difference between different levels of cannabis use severity, which is known as discriminant validity. Receiver operating characteristic analyses confirmed this, using an area under the receiver operating characteristics curve (AUC = 0.95) at a cutoff of ten or less. This allowed CUDIT-R-Pr to accurately predict any DSM-5 based on the highest correctly classified value (0.89), demonstrating high levels of sensitivity (0.96), specificity (0.69), and Youden value (0.65). The exact maximum Youden index (0.72) showed that CUDIT-R-Pr could also predict moderate DSM-5 with a cutoff of twelve or less. To validate and generalize the CUDIT-R-Pr for use among Iranian cannabis users, we need more research.

The load-bearing characters of hydraulic-powered roof support with dual telescopic legs were analyzed. With a specific type hydraulic-powered roof support with dual telescopic legs for research object, the inside load test problems in factories was analyzed, and the correct test methods were given, which can enhance the test efficiency and make the factories away from the error design of hydraulic-powered roof supports and legs.

Fuzzy-immune control strategy of a hydro-viscous soft start device of a belt conveyor

Considering the control difficulties of a hydro-viscous trol algorithm was derived. A fuzzy-immune PID controller was soft start （HVSS） device of a belt conveyor, a fuzzy-immune con- designed based on immune feedback regulations and adaptability of the fuzzy logic inference. Using MATLAB software, we simulated the controller and compared the HVSS device with a conven- tional PID controller and a fuzzy PID controller. The simulation results show that the controller is not only very reliable as a PID controller, robust and requires only a short adjustment time of fuzzy control, but possesses also capacity of global optimization of the immune algorithm. To verify our theoretical analysis and simulation, a HVSS test-bed was developed. The experimental results demonstrate that the fuzzy-immune PID controller managed to start the belt conveyor softly and to follow an S-shaped curve while the output speed correctly followed the preset speed with only small fluctuations in speed.

Deep learning has been successfully applied into pattern recognition due to its deep architecture and effective unsupervised learning,and deep belief network（DBN） is a popular model based on deep learning *** this paper,a DBN identification model based on partial least square regression（PLSR）,named PLSR-DBN,is proposed for nonlinear system *** order to improve the identification accuracy,PLSR is introduced into the supervised fine-tuning of DBN to elimate the overfitting and local minimum resulted from gradients-based learning,and contrastive divergence（CD） algorithm is used in unsupervised ***,the proposed PLSR-DBN is tested on a benchmark nonlinear *** experiment results show that the proposed PLSR-DBN has a better performance on nonlinear system identification than other similar methods.

Large cooling towers in thermal power plants and nuclear power plants are likely to suffer from strong earthquakes during service *** resulting destructions of the cooling towers would endanger the power plants and threaten the security of the related *** is important to use effective means to evaluate the safety status of the cooling towers and guide further precautions as well as retrofitting *** paper is therefore focused on an elaborate numerical investigation to the earthquake-induced collapses of a large cooling tower structure.A complete numerical work for simulation of material failure,component fracture,structural buckling and system collapse is presented by integrating the stochastic damage constitutive model of concrete,refined structural element models,and some other key *** results indicate that the damage behavior and collapse mode of the cooling tower are affected notably by the randomness specification of ground *** collapse mechanisms of the cooling tower are studied from the energy absorption and dissipation points of *** effective energy-based criterion is introduced to identify the collapse of the cooling tower under ground motion *** distinct collapse modes are observed,the collapse criterion can predict well the damage and failure of the cooling *** proposed methodology is vital to better understanding the disastrous mechanisms and potential failure paths in optimal design of the cooling towers to ensure safety.

A PRELIMINARY EVALUATION MODEL FOR RESERVOIR HYDROCARBON-GENERATING POTENTIAL ESTABLISHED BASED ON DISSOLVED HYDROCARBONS IN OILFIELD WATER

A large number of oilfield water samples were analyzed in this work. Research on the relationship between the concentrations and distribution of dissolved hydrocarbons suggested that the contents and composition of dissolved hydrocarbons varied with the hydrocarbon-generating potential of reservoirs. The concentrations of dissolved hydrocarbons were low in dry layers, water layers and gas-water layers, but high in gas reservoirs and oil reservoirs, especially in gas reservoirs with condensed oil. Series of carbon-number alkanes were usually absent in oilfield water from dry layers, water layers and gas-water layers but abundant in oilfield water from oil-water reservoirs, gas reservoirs and oil reservoirs, whose carbon numbers varied most widely in oil reservoirs and least in gas reservoirs. A preliminary evaluation model for reservoir hydrocarbon-generating potential was established based on the characteristics of dissolved hydrocarbons in oilfield water to assist hydrocarbon exploration.

Investigations into the Anti-Felting Properties of Sputtered Wool Using Plasma Treatment

In this research the effects of mordant and plasma sputtering treatments on the crystallinity and morphological properties of wool fabrics were investigated. The felting behavior of the treated samples was also studied. We used madder as a natural dye and copper sulfate as a metal mordant. We also used copper as the electrode material in a DC magnetron plasma sputtering device. The anti-felting properties of the wool samples before and after dying was studied, and it was shown that the shrink resistance and anti-felting behavior of the wool had been significantly improved by the plasma sputtering treatment. In addition, the percentage of crystallinity and the size of the crystals were investigated using an X-ray diffractometer, and a scanning electron microscope was used for morphological analysis. The amount of copper particles on the surface of the mordanted and sputtered fabrics was studied using the energy dispersive X- ray （EDX） method, and the hydrophobic properties of the samples were examined using the water drop test. The results show that with plasma sputtering treatment, the hydrophobic properties of the surface of wool become super hydrophobic.

INVESTIGATION INTO MORPHOLOGY, MICROSTRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF SBR/EPDM/ORGANO MONTMORILLONITE NANOCOMPOSITES

Rubber compounds based on styrene-butadiene rubber/ethylene propylene diene monomer blends of different compositions （60/40, 70/30, 80/20, 90/10, 100/0） reinforced with 1 wt%, 3 wt%, 5 wt% and 7 wt% organoclay （Cloisite 20A） were prepared on a two roll mill via a vulcanization process and characterized by several techniques. Results of X-ray diffraction showed expansion of the inter-gallery distance, and transmission electron microscopy （TEM） micrographs confirmed that the prepared nanocomposite samples have intercalated and partially exfoliated structures. Cure characteristics showed that, organoclay not only accelerates the vulcanization reaction, but also gives rise to a marked increase of the torque, indicating crosslink density of the prepared compounds increases at the presence of organoclay. Mechanical properties of samples received markedly increase by clay loading due to the good interaction established between nanoclay particles and polymer matrix as it was evidenced by SEM photomicrographs. At the same time, rheological properties showed that addition of nanoclay could improve storage modulus as well as complex viscosity of SBR/EPDM samples. The results of ozone test revealed that the ozone resistance of samples significantly increases as nanoclay or EPDM content increases.

Deep Learning Based Hand Gesture Recognition and UAV Flight Controls

Dynamic hand gesture recognition is a desired alternative means for human-computer *** paper presents a hand gesture recognition system that is designed for the control of flights of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV).A data representation model that represents a dynamic gesture sequence by converting the 4-D spatiotemporal data to 2-D matrix and a 1-D array is *** train the system to recognize designed gestures,skeleton data collected from a Leap Motion Controller are converted to two different data *** many as 9124 samples of the training dataset,1938 samples of the testing dataset are created to train and test the proposed three deep learning neural networks,which are a 2-layer fully connected neural network,a 5-layer fully connected neural network and an 8-layer convolutional neural *** static testing results show that the 2-layer fully connected neural network achieves an average accuracy of 96.7%on scaled datasets and 12.3%on non-scaled *** 5-layer fully connected neural network achieves an average accuracy of 98.0%on scaled datasets and 89.1%on non-scaled *** 8-layer convolutional neural network achieves an average accuracy of 89.6%on scaled datasets and 96.9%on non-scaled *** on a drone-kit simulator and a real drone shows that this system is feasible for drone flight controls.
