Artificial intel.igence(AI)as a multi-purpose technology is gaining increased attention and is now widely used across all sectors of the *** growing complexity of planning and operating power systems makes AI extremely valuable for the power *** now,there has been a lack of clarity regarding the specific points along the power system supply chain where AI applications demonstrate significant value,as well as which AI domains are best suited for such *** study employs an AI taxonomy and automated web search to qualitatively and quantitatively unveil the biggest potentials of AI in the power *** analysis,based on a review of 258’919 publications between 1982 and 2022,reveals where AI applications are particularly *** consider six AI domains(reasoning,planning,learning,communication,perception,integration&interaction)and 19 use cases from the power supply chain(i.e.,generation,transmission networks,distribution networks,isolated grids/microgrids,market operations and retail).Our findings indicate that,as of now,the focus is predominantly on AI applications in power retail(55%),transmission(14%)and generation(13%).Most analyzed works describe applications built on algorithms of the AI domains“learning”(45%)and“planning”(14%).Results also suggest that the current definition of AI domains is ambiguous,and they highlight missing information on the actual use and successful implementation of AI in power system use cases.

Cordyceps is an endoparasite ascomycetous genus containing approximatel. 450 species with a diversity of insect hosts,traditionally included in the family Clavicipitaceae of *** the relationships among species with a varied range of morphologies and hosts is of importance to our understanding of the phylogeny and co-evolution of parasites and hosts in entomopathogenic *** this end,we used a combination of molecular index and morphological characters from 40 representative species to carry out comprehensive molecular phylogenetic *** on the phylogenetic tree,we used the program DISCRETE for inferring the rates of evolution and finding ancestral states of morphological *** phylogenetic analyses revealed two important points.(i) Types of perithecia attached to stroma reflected an evolutionary trend in *** vertically immersed perithecia form was the ancestral state,superficial and obliquely immersed perithecia were derived characters,obliquely immersed was *** with obliquely immersed perithecia were in a closely related group and were the derived group.(ii) A strong correlation between fungal relatedness and the microhabitat supported the hypothesis that the host jumps through commingling in soil *** on the results of these analyses,host switching explains the diversity of entomopathogenic fungi of the genus Cordyceps.

Differences in Ecological and Genetic Adaptations between Salamandra infraimmaculata and Ommatotriton vittatus

Israel is home to two species of amphibians belonging to distinct genera: Salamandra and Ommatotriton. They inhabit various regions, sometimes coexisting and in other instances dwelling separatel. across different areas, making their segregation challenging. This study compares the biological, ecological, and genetic traits of two species, the Near Eastern fire salamander Salamandra infraimmaculata and the southern banded newt Ommatotriton vittatus, to determine why O. vittatus thrives in a wider range of semi-arid habitats in central and southern Israel, whereas S. infraimmaculata predominantly occupies the coastal Mediterranean region in the north. Salamander larvae are typically found in streams, freshwater springs, and cave pools, whereas newt larvae inhabit winter pools and ponds exclusively. The developmental phase of salamander tadpoles extends over several months, whereas newt tadpoles spend a comparatively brief period in the water, from 1 to a few months. Notably, genetic disparities in the cytochrome b sequence in Israeli populations are more pronounced among newts than salamanders.

Circumscription of Primula subgenus Auganthus (Primulaceae) based on chloroplast DNA sequences

Recent molecular phylogenetic analyses of Primula have greatly enhanced our understanding of the infrageneric relationships of the genus,but the subgenera Auganthus and Carolinella remain meagerly sampled and poorly *** the present study,nucleotide sequence data of three chloroplast DNA regions (matK,rps16,and trnL-F) were used to infer phylogenetic relationships of the subgenera Auganthus and *** data were acquired and analyzed for 70 species of Primula and its close *** data matrix included 29 species (42%) of subgenus Auganthus and five species (50%) from subgenus *** analyses on these data showed that the sampled species of the subgenus Carolinella do not form a monophyletic clade,but are dispersed among the species of the subgenus ***,neither subgenus Auganthus nor Carolinella is monophyletic under their current *** distinctive calyptrate capsule that was previously used as a diagnostic criterion for subgenus Carolinella was inferred to have evolved multiple times in Primula based on the *** analysis also confirmed that Cortusa is nested within subgenus *** therefore suggest a revised circumscription of subgenus Auganthus to include subgenus Carolinella and the genus *** clades were identified with this broadly defined subgenus Auganthus by the phylogenetic analyses,but their relationships remain incompletel. resolved.

Phytolacca is the biggest and most original genus in Phytolaccaceae and an important genus in plant systematic *** microscopy results show that the Phytolacca americana *** arises from the caulis(floral receptacle).The perisperm and hypostase are simultaneously initiated from the top several layers of cells of chalaza after fertilization,and the perisperm is located between the nucellus and *** the early stages of development,the hypostase cells are thin-walled with dense cytoplasm,clear nuclei,and some reserve ***,at the heart-shaped embryo stage,the hypostase cells are dead and *** main functions of the hypostase may be to maintain cellular division and perisperm growth without delivering nutrient materials to the *** evolutionary picture of placentation in Caryophyllales is also presented.

Bremsstrahlung—the spontaneous emission of broadband radiation from free electrons that are deflected by atomic nuclei—contributes to the majority of X-rays emitted from X-ray tubes and used in applications ranging from medical imaging to semiconductor chip ***,we show that the bremsstrahlung intensity can be enhanced significantly—by more than three orders of magnitude—through shaping the electron wavefunction to periodically overlap with atoms in crystalline ***,we show how to shape the bremsstrahlung X-ray emission pattern into arbitrary angular emission profiles for purposes such as unidirectionality and ***,we find that these enhancements and shaped emission profiles cannot be attributed solely to the spatial overlap between the electron probability distribution and the atomic centers,as predicted by the paraxial and nonrecoil theory for free electron light *** work highlights an unprecedented regime of free electron light emission where electron waveshaping provides multi-dimensional control over practical radiation processes like *** results pave the way towards greater versatility in table-top X-ray sources and improved fundamental understanding of quantum electron-light interactions.
