2,4,6-trinitrotoluene(TNT) and its derivatives are nitrogen-containing aromatic compounds having chemical and thermal stability at ambient temperature and pressure. TNT has high toxicity and mutagenic activity to humans, plants and animals, thus decontamination processes are necessary. Many microorganisms are capable to bioremediate TNT such as bacteria from the genera Pseudomonas,Enterobacter, Rhodococcus, Mycobacterium, Clostridium and desulfovibrio: fungus such as Phanerochate and Stropharia species are able to perform TNT biotransformation under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. In this work we review the state of TNT biodegradation by various routes: aerobic, anaerobic,combined, fungal, enzymatic, and bio-electrochemical.

In this paper we analyze the characteristics of the so-called rare earth elements （REEs） and its industrial applications. We present the policy, or lack thereof, in the countries in the Pacific Rim for its mining and commerce, and the current and future weight that rare earth minerals will have in international trade. The technological revolution experienced over the last 25 years, has brought the REEs to the public＇s attention for being instrumental in obtaining catalysts, lasers and optical fiber, luminescent substances and LEDs, superconductors, permanent magnets, batteries and ultra-capacitors. China＇s leading position as the supplier of these minerals worldwide, and its recent export restriction policy for domestic industrial activities have driven up international prices. Price increase for REEs is leading to the need for both recycling and its replacement. It has also led other countries in the Asia Pacific Rim to prospect new potential sites on their own territories, or even to restart operations in deposits that had been previously abandoned. Those strategies will likely gain greater importance as environmental pollution problems associated with the exploitation, processing, and recovery of REEs increase.

Wire electrical discharge machining(wire-EDM)is an energy-intensive process,and its success relies on a correct selection of cutting *** is vital to optimize energy consumption,along with productivity and *** experimental study optimized three parameters in wire-EDM:pulse-on time,servo voltage,and voltage concerning machining time,electric power,total energy consumption,surface roughness,and material removal *** different plate thicknesses(15.88 mm and 25.4 mm)were *** orthogonal array,signal-to-noise ratio,and means graphs,and an analysis of vari-ance(ANOVA),determine the effects and contribution of cutting parameters on ***-on time is the most significant factor for almost all variables,with a percentage of contribution higher than 50%.Multi-objective optimization is conducted to accomplish a concurrent decrease in all variables.A case study is proposed to compute carbon dioxide(CO_(2))tons and electricity cost in wire-EDM,using cutting parameters from multi-objective optimization and starting values commonly employed to cut that tool steel.A sustainable manufacturing approach reduced 5.91%of the electricity cost and CO_(2)tons when machining the thin plate,and these responses were diminished by 14.09%for the thicker ***,it is possible to enhance the sustainability of the process without decreasing its productivity and quality.

Partisanship and dependence on government support have characterized Mexican media along its history. That is, on the one hand, the journalistic practice has been determined by the alignment towards a political stance. On the other, thanks to the intervention of the state, news outlets---especially newspapers--have survived in an economically difficult environment. Nowadays, the support from the government mainly comes in the form of official advertising, which has become a token to trade revenues for publicity. Therefore, this paper argues that media partisanship in Mexico has shifted from ideological to economic. Based upon a case study conducted in Morelia （the capital city of Michoacan）, this article analyzes the impact of the official advertising on the political information published by the local newspapers.

Due to the multiple health benefits associated with the consumption of cannabinoids,there is a current trend on continuing to explore their biological ***(CBD)is likely to be the most investigated endocannabinoid from the cannabis ***,the purification of CBD from its natural source and psychotropic analogue(tetrahydrocannabinol,THC)is timely challenging for the research community based on the similar physiochemical properties of both *** latter fact becomes relevant for the final application of CBD in edibles as a bioactive ***,this paper comprehensively reviews the latest development works(over the last 2-3 years)aiming at the extraction of cannabinoids and purification of CBD using traditional,emerging,and synergistic extraction techniques and *** emphasis and discussion have been focused on the innovative extraction techniques and the relevant outcomes with detailed strategies to meet such high extraction *** properties(at lab-scale and clinical case studies),current practices,progress in legislation and commercialization of CBD are also ***,according to the findings of this review,the future trends and research gaps are also given.

This study explores the symbolic imaginary and forms of mediation on climate change and global warming, with the peasants of San Gregorio, Xochimilco, an agricultural area that survives in one of the largest in the world conurbations, Mexico City. We used a mixed method. Through a representative, observation and interview with our study subjects explored survey semantic-imaginary symbolic associations that farmers in the community have on both phenomena. We found that both are non-functional at the time when farmers describe the problems they experience the effects and possible solutions to climate variations. We believe that it is essential to explore the language used affected communities when proposing public policies, non-governmental actions and scientific research related to climate variations in local environments as studied here.

This paper analyzes how caregivers＇ narratives about pain and illness are constructed, and also what narrative identities are formed during the lengthy process of taking care of a woman with cerebral palsy, from the years of 1972 to 2014. Of particular interest is how these voices narrate feelings of struggle in order to cope with their own needs and the needs of a disabled woman. How this situation affected their way of living, their views about life through gender-sex, violent, discriminatory, psycho-social and cultural perspectives （Lamas, 2002）？ This study also draws from Hydrn＇s ideas regarding narratives about illness to identify diverse forms to represent reality by means of creating affective bonds, including aspects such as plot, metaphors and the construction or reconstruction of the Self （1995; 1997）, which can be related to the transformation of the narrative identity （Ricoeur, 1995; 1996） of each caregiver. This study aims to open other scenarios to establish public policies of support for caregivers and for the disabled, and to question the role that government and medical institutional have played in order to benefit the society as a whole.

The following study shall analyse results of an exploration into production, consumption, socialization, privacy and copyright practices among Mexican university students who take photography through mobile devices in social networks. This work focuses on an analysis of how digital natives carry out image capture, how much time is spent on this activity and what types of images are consumed in different types of social networks. It also examines what type of images are captured and what is done with these images in social networks. The study is applied to a specific sample of 93 university students who have full access to mobile devices, applications and social networks in their daily lives. It provides information as to their behavior within a changing techno-social scene which sees the emergence of new mobile devices, specialized applications and social networks dedicated to photography along with other nascent forms and styles of digital production and socialization. This shall be compared to a previous study carded out in 2010.
