Two-dimensional(2D)transition metal chalcogenides(TMCs)hold great promise as novel microwave absorption materials owing to their interlayer interactions and unique magnetoelectric ***,overcoming the impedance mismatch at the low loading is still a challenge for TMCs due to the restricted loss pathways caused by their high-density ***,an interface engineering based on the heterostructure of 2D cr_(5)Te_(8) and graphite is in situ constructed via a one-step chemical vapor deposit to modulate impedance matching and introduce multiple attenuation ***,the cr_(5)Te_(8)@EG(ECT)heterostructure exhibits a minimum reflection loss of up to−57.6 dB at 15.4 GHz with a thin thickness of only 1.4 mm under a low filling rate of 10%.The density functional theory calculations confirm that the splendid performance of ECT heterostructure primarily derives from charge redistribution at the abundant intimate interfaces,thereby reinforcing interfacial polarization ***,the ECT coating displays a remarkable radar cross section reduction of 31.9 dB m^(2),demonstrating a great radar microwave scattering *** work sheds light on the interfacial coupled stimulus response mechanism of TMC-based heterogeneous structures and provides a feasible strategy to manipulate high-quality TMCs for excellent microwave absorbers.

Rational design and synthesis of cr_(1-x)Te/Ag_(2)Te composites for solid-state thermoelectromagnetic cooling near room temperature

Materials with both large magnetocaloric response and high thermoelectric performance are of vital importance for all-solid-state thermoelectromagnetic *** two properties,however,hardly coexist in single phase materials except previously reported hexagonal cr_(1-x)Te half metal where a relatively high magnetic entropy change(-△S_(M))of~2.4 J·kg^(-1)·K^(-1)@5 T and a moderate thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT)of~1.2×10^(-2)@300 K are simultaneously *** we aim to increase the thermoelectric performance of cr_(1-x)Te by compositing with semiconducting Ag_(2)*** is discovered that the in-situ synthesis of cr_(1-x)Te/Ag_(2)Te composites by reacting their constitute elements above melting temperatures is unsuccessful because of strong phase ***,at elevated temperatures(T>800 K),cr_(1-x)Te has a much lower deformation energy than Ag_(2)Te and tends to become more cr-deficient by capturing Te from Ag_(2)***,Ag is insufficiently reacted and as a metal it deteriorates *** then rationalize the synthesis of cr_(1-x)Te/Ag_(2)Te composites by ex-situ mix of the pre-prepared cr_(1-x)Te and Ag_(2)Te binary compounds followed by densification at a low sintering temperature of 573 K under a pressure of 3.5 *** show that by compositing with 7 mol%Ag_(2)Te,the Seebeck coefficient of cr_(1-x)Te is largely increased while the lattice thermal conductivity is considerably reduced,leading to 72%improvement of *** comparison,-△S_(M)is only slightly reduced by 10%in the *** work demonstrates the potential of cr_(1-x)Te/Ag_(2)Te composites for thermoelectromagnetic cooling.

Exogenous insulin autoimmune syndrome:A case report and review of literature

BACKGROUND Insulin autoimmune syndrome(IAS)is a severe manifestation of spontaneous *** is characterized by elevated levels of immune-reactive insulin and highly potent insulin autoantibodies(IAAs),which are induced by endogenous insulin circulating in the *** is distinguished by recurring instances of spontaneous hypoglycemia,the presence of IAA within the body,a substantial elevation in serum insulin levels,and an absence of prior exogenous insulin ***,recent studies show that both conventional insulin and its analogs can induce IAS episodes,giving rise to the notion of nonclassical ***,more attention should be paid to these *** SUMMARY In this case report,we present a rare case of non-classical IAS in an 83-year-old male patient who present with symptoms of a psychiatric *** symptom onset,the patient exhibited Whipple's triad(including hypoglycemia,blood glucose level less than 2.8 mmol/L during onset,and rapid relief of hypoglycemic symptoms after glucose administration).Concurrently,his serum insulin level was significantly elevated,which contradicted his C-peptide *** a comprehensive examination,the patient was diagnosed with exogenous insulin autoimmune *** that the patient had type 2 diabetes mellitus and a history of exogenous insulin use before disease onset,it was presumed that non classical IAS was induced by this *** PubMed database was used to search for previous cases of IAS and non-classical IAS to analyze their characteristics and treatment *** The occurrence of non-classical IAS is associated with exogenous insulin or its analogs,as well as with sulfhydryl *** can be effectively alleviated through the discontinuation of relevant medications,administration of hormones or immunosuppressants,plasma exchange,and lifestyle adjustments.

The present work aims to create lattice distortion and optimize the surface oxygen vacancy(OV)concentration in a model spinel(Co_(0.2)cr_(0.2)Fe_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)Ni_(0.2))_(3)O_(4)high-entropy oxide(HEO)through a heteroatom La^(3+)doping *** demonstrated,La^(3+)with a large radius can be doped successfully into the spinel lattice of(Co_(0.2)cr_(0.2)Fe_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)Ni_(0.2))_(3)O_(4),thereby not only causing lattice distortion to increase oxygen vacancies but also refining crystalline grains and improving the specific *** with the(Co_(0.2)cr_(0.2)Fe_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)Ni_(0.2))_(3)O_(4)anode,the(La_(0.01)CocrFeMnNi)_(3/5.01)O_(4) anode with moderate doping exhibits excellent cycling performance(1228 mAh·g^(−1)after 400 cycles at 0.2 A·g^(−1))and yields an increase of 75%rate capability at 3 A·g^(−1)(420 mAh·g^(−1)at 3 A·g^(−1)).The desirable kinetic transport of electrons and diffusion of Li+within the moderately La^(3+)-doped anode and the synergistic interfacial pseudocapacitive behavior satisfy the redox reaction at a high rate,thus increasing rate capability.

First-principles study on the diffusion behavior of Cs and I in cr coating

Cs and I can migrate through fuel-cladding interfaces and accelerate the cladding corrosion process induced by the fuel-cladding chemical *** coating has emerged as an important candidate for mitigating this chemical *** this study,first-principles calculations were employed to investigate the diffusion behavior of Cs and I in the cr bulk and grain boundaries to reveal the microscopic interaction mitigation mechanisms at the fuel-cladding *** interaction between these two fission products and the cr coating were studied systematically,and the Cs and I temperature-dependent diffusion coefficients in cr were obtained using Bocquet’s oversized solute-atom model and Le Claire’s nine-frequency model,*** results showed that the Cs and I migration barriers were significantly lower than that of cr,and the Cs and I diffusion coefficients were more than three orders of magnitude larger than the cr self-diffusion coefficient within the temperature range of Generation-IV fast reactors(below 1000 K),demonstrating the strong penetration ability of Cs and ***,Cs and I are more likely to diffuse along the grain boundary because of the generally low migration barriers,indicating that the grain boundary serves as a fast diffusion channel for Cs and I.

The B-site ordering in RFe_(0.5)cr_(0.5)O_(3)ceramics and its effect on magnetic properties

To insight into the B-site ordering in RFe_(0.5)cr_(0.5)O_(3)ceramics,a series of RFe_(0.5)cr_(0.5)O_(3)ceramics(R=La,Y,Lu)were synthesized by the sol-gel method,and the structural and magnetic properties were systemically *** using the Rietveld refinement of all samples,it is found that the structural distortion is increased as the R ionic radius decreases,leading to the weakened interactions between Fe/cr ***,the Fe and cr are arranged in disorder in LaFe_(0.5)cr_(0.5)O_(3),but partially ordered in YFe_(0.5)cr_(0.5)O_(3)and LuFe_(0.5)cr_(0.5)O_(3),showing an increasing trend of the proportion of ordered domains with the decrease of R ionic *** fitting the temperature-dependent magnetizations,it is identified that the magnetization reversal(MR)in disorder LaFe_(0.5)cr_(0.5)O_(3)is resulted from the competition between the moments of cr and Fe *** the partially ordered YFe_(0.5)cr_(0.5)O_(3)and LuFe_(0.5)cr_(0.5)O_(3)ceramics,because of the presence of Fe-O-cr networks in the ordered domains whose moment is antiparallel to that of Fe-O-Fe and cr-O-cr in the disordered domains,the compensation temperature T_(comp)of MR is increased by nearly 50 *** results suggest that the changing of R-site ions could be used very effectively to modify the Fe-O-cr ordering,apart from the structural distortion,which has a direct effect on the magnetic exchange interactions in RFe_(0.5)cr_(0.5)O_(3)*** at values of composition where ordered domains are expected to be larger in number as compared to disordered domains and with a weaker structural distortion,one can expect a higher transition temperature Tcomp,providing a different view for adjustment of the magnetic properties of RFe_(0.5)cr_(0.5)O_(3)ceramics for practical applications.

High Permeability in Broadband of Co-sputtered [Fe-Fe_(20)Ni_(80)/cr]_(n) Multilayer Films

To achieve high microwave permeability in wide-band for the micron-thick magnetic films,[Fe-Fe_(20)Ni_(80)/cr]_(n) multilayer structure was proposed by co-sputtering Fe and FeNi to form the magnetic layers and cr to form the *** multilayer structure contributes to the high permeability by reducing the coercivity and diminishing out-of-plane *** maximum imaginary permeability of[Fe-Fe_(20)Ni_(80)/cr]_(n) multilayer film reaches a large value of 800 at 0.52 GHz even though its overall thickness exceeds 1μ***,the magnetic resonance frequency of the multilayer film can be modulated from 0.52 to 1.35 GHz by adjusting the sputtering power of Fe from 0 to 86 W,and its bandwidth for μ’’>200(Δf) is as large as 2.0 *** desirable broad Δf of magnetic permeability,which can be well fitted by the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equations,is due to dual magnetic resonances originated from double magnetic phases of Fe and FeNi that are of different saturation *** micron-thick multilayer films with high permeability in extended waveband are promising candidate for electromagnetic noise suppression application.

The structures,mechanical properties and electronic structures of M metals(M=Ti,V,cr,Mn and Fe)dopedβ-Si_(3)N_(4) were investigated by First-principles calculations within *** calculated lattice parameters ofβ-Si_(3)N_(4) were consistent with previous *** cohesive energy and formation enthalpy show that initialβ-Si_(3)N_(4) has the highest structural *** calculated elastic constant and the Voigt-Reuss-Hill approximation indicate that elastic moduli ofβ-Si_(3)N_(4) are slightly reduced by M *** on Poisson’s and Pugh’s ratio,β-Si_(3)N_(4) is a ductile material and the toughness ofβ-Si_(3)N_(4) increases with M doping,and Fe doping exhibited the best *** results of density of states,charge distributions and overlapping populations indicate thatβ-Si_(3)N_(4) has the strong covalent and ionic bond strength between N and Si.

Combination of High Yield Strength and Improved Ductility of 21cr Lean Duplex Stainless Steel by Tailoring Cold Deformation and Low-Temperature Short-Term Aging

Proper matching of cold-rolled deformation and low-temperature short-term aging can simultaneously enhance the strength and ductility of the lean duplex stainless steel. To investigate this, the microstructure evolution of cold-rolled and aging steels was observed by using scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and electron backscattered diffraction. Additionally, the phase volume fraction was measured using X-ray diffraction. In this study, it was observed that the elongation of 21cr lean duplex stainless steel significantly increased to 16.7% after undergoing moderate cold deformation (~ 40% reduction) and subsequent aging treatment at 550 ℃ for 30 min. Remarkably, the material still maintained a high yield strength of 1045 MPa. Such an excellent mechanical property was attributed to a unique microstructure combination of fine α'-martensite, twins, coarsened austenite resulting from partial martensite reverse transformation, and two-phase fine layered structure. The result of this study may open up new horizons for the alloy development in order to overcome the low ductility of cold-rolled high-strength lean duplex stainless steel.
