Expedition to the blockchain application potential for higher education institutions

In the education sector,blockchain is currently at the end of the peak of inflated expectations in Gartner’s Hype ***,it is crucial to understand whether this technology meets the expectations of Higher Education Institutions(HEIs).We go on an expedition to identify blockchain application scenarios and its potential for HEI administration-the universities are digitalized to just 23.3%.Current information systems research addresses classifications of blockchain-based projects(application level)rather than their technical realization(protocol level).Thus,when evaluating blockchain application scenarios in HEI administration,we intensively consider the technical side of blockchain-based *** perform a threestep approach:(1)systematic literature review,(2)qualitative exploratory semi-structured interviews to sup-plement information on market-ready solutions,and(3)an evaluation of the potential of the blockchain-based projects identified,based on HEI administration *** find that the leading blockchain application scenarios are credential verification and *** the protocol level,we obtain equivocal results regarding the technical realization of projects,e.g.,their underlying blockchain types and storage *** the application level,when discussing the potential of different projects,we find that most of them address adaptability,complexity decomposition,and cost reduction requirements between HEIs;interest diversity and stakeholder collaboration between HEIs and business actors;privacy and trust between HEIs and students.

Exposure to ephedrine attenuates Th1/Th2 imbalance underlying OVA-induced asthma through airway epithelial cell-derived exo-somal lnc-TRPM2-AS

Although various anti-inflammatory medications,such as ephedrine,are employed to manage cough-variant asthma,their underlying mechanisms are yet to be fully *** studies suggest that exosomes derived from airway epithelial cells(AECs)contain components like messenger RNAs(mRNAs),micro-RNAs(miRNAs),and long noncoding RNA(lncRNA),which play roles in the occurrence and progression of airway *** study investigates the influence of AEC-derived exosomes on the efficacy of ephedrine in treating cough-variant *** established a mouse model of asthma and measured airway resist-ance and serum inflammatory cell ***-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR),Western blotting,and enzyme-linked im-munosorbent assay(ELISA)analyses were used to assess gene and protein expression *** were isolated and *** immunoprecipitation(RIP)and RNA pull-down assays were conducted to examine the interaction between hnRNPA2B1 and *** the ovalbumin(OVA)-challenged mouse model,ephedrine treatment reduced inflammatory responses,air-way resistance,and Th1/Th2 cell *** from OVA-treated AECs showed elevated levels of lnc-TRPM2-AS1,which were diminished following ephedrine *** exosomal lnc-TRPM2-AS1 mediated the Th1/Th2 imbalance in CD4^(+)T cells,with its packaging into exosomes being facilitated by *** study unveils a novel mechanism by which ephedrine ameli-orates OVA-induced CD4^(+)T cell imbalance by suppressing AEC-derived exosomal *** findings could provide a theoretical framework for using ephedrine in asthma treatment.

In today’s manufacturing industries,hard competition between rival firms makes it compulsory for researchers to design lighter and cheaper machine components due to the megatrends of cost-effectiveness and *** this point,aluminum syntactic foams(ASFs)are new-generation engineering composites and come into the upfront as a *** to their features like low density,sufficient elongation,and perfect energy absorption ability,these advanced foams have been considerably seductive for many industrial sectors *** this study,an industrial-oriented automatic die casting technology was used for the first time to manufacture the combination of AA7075/porous expanded clay(PEC).Micro evaluations(optical and FESEM)reveal that there is a homogenous particle distribution in the foam samples,and inspections are compatible with the other ASF ***,T6 aging heat treatment was operated on one half of the produced foams to explore the probable impact of aging on the compressive *** results show that PEC particles can be an alternative to expensive hollow spheres used in the previous ***,a favorable relationship is ascertained between the aging treatment and mechanical properties such as compression strength and plateau strength.

Influence of water evaporation on elastohydrodynamic lubrication with water-containing polyalkylene glycols

The reduction of frictional power losses in power transmitting gears takes a crucial role in the design of energy-and resource-efficient ***-containing lubricants like glycerol and polyalkylene glycols have shown great potential in achieving friction within the superlubricity regime with coefficients of friction lower than 0.01 under elastohydrodynamic ***,a bio-based production of the base stocks can lead to the development of green ***,one challenge associated with the application of water-containing lubricants to gearboxes is the evaporation of water and its impact on the lubricant *** this study,the influence of water evaporation on elastohydrodynamic friction and film thickness was investigated for three water-containing polyalkylene *** nominal water contents of 20 wt%and 40 wt%and two viscosities were *** results show that the friction increases continuously with higher evaporated water content,while the overall friction level remains low in nearly water-free states.A similar trend is observed for film thickness,where the strong increase in viscosity results in a notable increase in film ***,the sensitivity of friction and film thickness to water evaporation is low for small amounts of evaporated *** allows generous thresholds for permissible variations in water content.

Accurate crop row recognition of maize at the seedling stage using lightweight network

Accurate extraction of crop row is very important for automation of agricultural *** rows are required for accurate machine guidance in agricultural production such as fertilization,plant protection,weeding and *** this study,an efficient crop row detection algorithm called Crop-BiSeNet V2 was proposed,which combined BiSeNet V2 with a spatial convolutional neural *** proposed Crop-BiSeNet V2 detected crop rows in color images without the use of threshold and other pre-information such as number of rows.A data set had 2697 maize crop images was constructed in challenging field trial conditions such as variable light,shadows,presence of weeds,and irregular crop *** proposed system was experimentally determined to overcome the interference of different complex *** it can be applied to crop rows of different numbers,straight lines and *** analyses were performed to check the robustness of the *** this algorithm with the Fully Convolutional Networks(FCN)algorithm,it exhibited superior performance and saved 84.85 *** accuracy rate reached 0.9811,and the detection speed reached 65.54 ms/*** Crop-BiSeNet V2 algorithm proposed in this study show strong generalization performance for seedling crop row *** provides high-reliability technical support for crop row detection research and assists in the study of intelligent field operation machinery navigation.
