Background: The pathologies causing male infertility are various (congenital or acquired) and concern several hormone-producing organs: the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, testes and adrenals. The hormonal dosage includes systematically testosterone, FSH and LH. These analyses often highlight hypogonadism hypogonadotropic or hypergonadotropic. They can sometimes be normal. The present study aimed to establish the hormonal profile of infertile men residing in Brazzaville. Patients and Methods: It was a cross-sectional descriptive study during five years (from 2018 to 2023). It concerned 344 infertilemen with an abnormal spermogram and spermocytogram. The method was performed from the blood dosage of testosterone, FSH, and LH using the Elisa technique. Results: The hormonal assessment was not normal in 48.83% (168/344) of cases. Increased values of testosterone were noted in 6.10% of cases and decreased in 12.20%. Abnormal high values of FSH were observed in 14.24% of cases and decreased values in 8.13%. LH was elevated, i.e. 2.03% of cases and decreased in 6.10% of subjects. Conclusions: A hormonal disturbance was observed in almost half of the infertile men. It concerned the hypothalamus-pituitary and the testes axis and indicated mainly a state of hypogonadism with high FSH and low LH.

Introduction: Low birth weight (LBW) is defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a birth weight strictly below 2500 g, whatever the term of pregnancy. It constitutes a major public health problem, both in developed and developing countries, due to its magnitude and its strong association with infant morbidity and mortality. Main objective was to study the factors associated with the occurrence of small-for-gestational-age newborns in Douala. Methodology: We carried out a cross-sectional analytical study with prospective data collection using a technical pretested sheet in the maternity wards of the Douala General Hospital, the Laquintinie Hospital, and the District hospitals of Deido, Nylon and Bonassama over a period of 4 months (January to April 2020). We were interested in any newborn, born alive, vaginally or by cesarean section, of low weight, seen in the first 24 hours from a full-term single-fetal pregnancy whose mother had given her consent. Our sampling was consecutive and non-exhaustive. We excluded newborns whose term was unclear and those with congenital malformations or signs of embryo-foetopathy. Data collection was done using survey sheets. Statistical analyzes were carried out with CS Pro 7.3 and SPSS version 25.0 software. The Student, Chi-square and Fischer tests were used to compare the means of the variables, the percentages with a significance threshold P value Results: During the study period, 305 full-term newborns were included, divided into 172 boys and 133 girls. The percentage of small-for-gestational-age newborns was 9.8%;after multivariate analysis by logistic regression to eliminate confounding factors, we found maternal factors associated with small for gestational age newborns;maternal age less than 20 years, primiparity, gestational age (37 - 38), a delay in prenatal visits greater than 14 weeks, anemia in pregnancy, positive toxoplasmosis serology in pregnancy, a body mass index of Conclusion: Our study revealed the potenti

Phosphorothioate oligodeoxynucleotides (S-ODNs), one of DNA analogs, have some biological properties of native DNA such as in hybridization, aqueous solubility, activation of RNase H and cellular uptake via endocytosis. In addition, they are resistant to hydrolysis by exo- and endo-nucleases. They have become noticeable as antisense DNA analogs in recent years.

The grain boundary diffusion process(GBDP) of Dy and DyAl on sintered NdFeB magnets was conducted via magnetron-sputtering deposition of Dy and DyAl films to enhance coercivity(H_(cj)),The magnetic properties,microstructure and anti-corrosion properties of Dy-surface-alloying NdFeB magnets obtained via magnetron sputtering and thermal diffusion were *** H_(cj) of the Dy_(95)Al_(5)-NdFeB magnet increases by 32.68%,while the remanence declines ***,X-ray diffraction and microstructural analysis confirm the formation of Dy-rich shells,the higher-magnetic-anisotropy field of hard(Nd_(x)Dy_(1-x))2(FeAl)_(14)B magnetic phases and an optimised grain boundary structu re,contributing to the H_(cj)enhancement of the *** elemental distribution and diffusion mechanism of the magnets are also ***,the corrosion resistance of the Dy_(95)Al_(5)-NdFeB magnet is substantially improved by enhancing the electrochemical stability and optimising the distribution and morphology of the intergranular *** findings of this study are of substantial importance in the development of low-heavy rare-earth sintered NdFeB magnets.

It aims to analyze the impact heme oxygenase -1 （heme oxygenase 1, HO-1） on regulating factors of human hepatoma cell HepG2＇s cell cycle, through constructing recombinant vector of pcDNA3.1 containing wild-type and mutant HO-1 gene （＋）-wtHO-1 and pcDNA3.1 （＋）-mHO-1G143H. By using the method of liposome-mediated, the recombinant vector was transfected hepatoma cell line HepG2. And the transfected one with empty vector was treated as a control group. By the selection of G418, stable expression of wild-type and mutant HO-1 in HepG2 liver cancer cell lines were established. Use the blot of semi-quantitative RT-PCR and Western to test transfected cell lines expressing levels of riO-1 mRNA and protein. As HO-1 expression in stably transfected cell lines altered, we use Western blot to test transfected cell lines P21, P27 protein expression levels. As result shows, we got 1 HO-over-expression of wild-type and mutant in HepG2 cells; wild- type and mutant＇s over expression of HO-1 can induce the expression of tumor suppressor genes p21 and *** got the conclusion that HO-l＇s over-expression of tumor suppressor genes p21 and p27 is unrelated to the expression of heme decomposition products. HO-1 may regulate the expression of p21 and p27 through other mechanisms.

To improve the performance of solid composite propellants(SCPs)supplemented with ammonium nitrate(AN)as an oxidizer,the incorporation of energetic ingredients such as explosives,energetic binders or catalysts is a common effective *** this purpose,polyurethane(PU),a typical inert binder,was mixed with nitrocellulose(NC)as an energetic *** composite solid propellant compositions based on AN and NC-modified polyurethane binder with different NC ratios were *** prepared formulations were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),RAMAN spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction(XRD),electron densimetry,thermogravimetric(TG)analysis,and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).A kinetic study was then performed using the iterative KissingerAkahira-Sunose(It-KAS),Flynn-Wall-Ozawa(It-FWO),and non-linear Vyazovkin integral with compensation effect(VYA/CE)*** theoretical performances,such as theoretical specific impulse,adiabatic flame temperature,and ideal exhaust gaseous species,were also determined using the NASA Lewis Code,Chemical Equilibrium with Application(CEA).Spectroscopic examinations revealed the existence of NC and full polymerization of PU in the prepared *** to density tests,the density of the propellant increases as the nitrocellulose component *** to the thermal analysis and kinetics study,the increase in NC content catalyzed the thermal decomposition of the AN-based composite solid *** on the theoretical study,increasing the amount of NC in the propellant increased the specific impulse and,as a result,the overall performance.

Objective:This article aims to deeply analyze the feedback on teacher training in an affiliated hospital,so as to clarify the current needs and situation of teacher training and provide a scientific basis for further optimizing the teacher training ***:The current situation and needs of teacher training in the affiliated hospital were collected by designing and distributing Tomato Form questionnaires on the DingTalk *** questionnaire adopted a percent-point system,all of which were indeterminate multiple-choice ***:The average age of the clinical teachers participating in the survey was 40.44±7.85 years old,with an average teaching length of 4–10 *** results showed that 60.20%of teachers think that the amount of teacher training in an affiliated hospital is sufficient;91.10%of teachers think that the factors affecting training conflict with working hours;97.96%of teachers believe that the training time has an impact on the training effect;81.63%of teachers prefer online training;51.53%of teachers tend to arrange training time on working days;33.16%of teachers tend to train once a month;17.78%of teachers prefer to receive training on clinical theoretical courses and practical teaching norms and skills ***:Based on the above survey results,we propose to build a comprehensive management mechanism for teacher training,including improving the access,training,and assessment mechanism for clinical teachers,and adjusting and optimizing the training program according to actual *** the same time,an effective communication platform should be built to promote the deep integration of teaching and practice and enhance social recognition,so as to comprehensively improve the teaching quality and medical service of the hospital.
