Use of the Endocuff during routine colonoscopy examination improves adenoma detection: A meta-analysis

AIM To perform meta-analysis of the use of Endocuff during average risk screening *** Scopus, Cochrane databases, MEDLINE/Pub Med, and CINAHL were searched in April 2016. Abstracts from Digestive Disease Week, United European Gastroenterology, and the American College of Gastroenterology meeting were also searched from 2004-2015. Studies comparing EC-assisted colonoscopy(EAC) to standard colonoscopy, for any indication, were included in the analysis. The analysis was conducted by using the Mantel-Haenszel or DerS imonian and Laird models with the odds ratio(OR) to assess adenoma detection, cecal intubation rate, and complications performed. RESULTS Nine studies(n = 5624 patients) were included in the analysis. Compared to standard colonoscopy, procedures performed with EC had higher frequencies for adenoma(OR = 1.49, 95%CI: 1.23-1.80; P = 0.03), and sessile serrated adenomas detection(OR = 2.34 95%CI: 1.63-3.36; P < 0.001). There was no significant difference in cecal intubation rates between the EACgroup and standard colonoscopy(OR = 1.26, 95%CI: 0.70-2.27, I2 = 0%; P = 0.44). EAC was associated with a higher risk of complications, most commonly being superficial mucosal injury without higher frequency for *** The use of an EC on colonoscopy appears to improve pre-cancerous polyp detection without any difference in cecal intubation rates compared to standard colonoscopy.

A double acid corrosion and subsequent hydrothermal treatment were used to fabricate a micro–nano-structured Ti substrates(Ti–M–N).Afterward,the mesoporous polydopamine(MPDA)nanoparticles as photothermal agent were prepared and immobilized on the surface of Ti–M–N samples,in order to obtain Ti–M–NMPDA *** micro–nanostructure properties and the photothermal effect of the modified Ti implant caused physical stress on the bacteria and the bacterial membrane damage,and eventually led to bacteria *** importantly,based on excellent bioactivity and cytocompatibility of mussel-inspired materials,MPDA promoted adhesion,proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells in ***,animal experiments in vivo further confirmed that the modified Ti implants could enhance osseointegration.

Capacitive sensing technique for silt suspended sediment concentration monitoring

Automated, real-time, and continuous techniques for monitoring suspended sediment concentration in rivers and reservoirs can play an important role in the improvement of the quantity and quality of sediment data, and are valuable to the management of water environment, water conservancy, hazard prevention, and water resources. Research in the monitoring techniques has examined the possibility of using the characteristics of dielectric constants for detecting soil moisture and concentration of air-water two-phase flow, based on the fact that dielectric constants of sediment, air and water are different. A capacitance sensor was developed to monitor the silt suspended sediment concentration (SSSC) in a recent study, following the principle that as SSSC increases in the sediment-water mixture, the apparent dielectric constant of the water sample also increases and therefore the capacitance detected by the sensing system also increases. It is demonstrated that the variations in the concentration of silt sediment correlates positively with the variations in observed capacitance in a linear fashion, and correlates negatively with voltage outputs but also in a linear fashion. The correlation coefficients reached above 0.98. The overall errors in estimated concentrations range between 0.26% and 2.91%. Elements in the capacitance sensor system such as the frequencies of the signal generating system, areas of the electrode plates, and effects of sample temperature have also been evaluated. The results illustrated that the capacitance sensor techniques can be applied to monitoring SSSC automatically and continuously. Also, the range of SSSC in the experiment reached 200 kg/m3; therefore, the application of this technique in practical SSSC monitoring is worthy of further research.

To achieve the production information management of the coning,drawing and twisting's workshop,and promote a good and fast development of the textile enterprise,firstly,we analyze the information technology development status of the textile enterprise at home and abroad,study the weaknesses of the existing computer monitoring system,introduce the system design project,and propose a system network model based on client/server(C/S)***,a multi-agent production monitoring and control system is developed,and the communication of the single-port-multi-protocol and a multi-thread data collection technology are studied via the multi-thread and standard template library(STL)***,the system management functions,the structure design of the database,and the technical difficulties in the process of software design are also *** proved in practice,the system satisfies the production management requirements of the workshop,and implements the network management of the production information.

Amorphous BaTiO3 Electron Transport Layer for Thermal Equilibrium-Governed γ-CsPbI3 Perovskite Solar Cell with High Power Conversion Efficiency of 19.96%

Compared to organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites,the cesium-based allinorganic lead halide perovskite （CsPbI3） is a promising light absorber for perovskite solar cells owing to its higher resistance to thermal ***,additional research is required to reduce the nonradiative recombination to realize the full potential of ***,the diffusion of Cs ions participating in ion exchange is proposed to be an important factor responsible for the bulk defects in γ-*** based on first-principles density functional theory reveal that the [PbI6]4-octahedral tilt modifies the perovskite crystallographic properties in γ-CsPbI3,leading to alterations in its bandgap and crystal *** addition,by substituting amorphous barium titanium oxide （a-BaTiO3） for TiO2as the electron transport layer,interfacial defects caused by imperfect energy levels between the electron transport layer and perovskite are ***-resolution transmission electron microscopy and electron energy loss spectroscopy demonstrate that a-BaTiO3forms entirely as a single phase,as opposed to Ba-doped TiO2hybrid nanoclusters or separate domains of TiO2and ***,inorganic perovskite solar cells based on the a-BaTiO3electron transport layer achieved a power conversion efficiency of 19.96%.

Testis specific protein Y-encoded（TSPY） is a Y-located proto-oncogene predominantly expressed in normal male germ cells and various types of germ cell tumor. Significantly, TSPY is frequently expressed in somatic cancers including liver cancer but not in adjacent normal tissues, suggesting that ectopic TSPY expression could be associated with oncogenesis in non-germ cell cancers. Various studies demonstrated that TSPY expression promotes growth and proliferation in cancer cells; however, its relationship to other oncogenic events in TSPY-positive cancers remains unknown. The present study seeks to correlate TSPY expression with other molecular features in clinical cancer samples, by analyses of RNA-seq transcriptome and DNA methylation data in the Cancer Genome Atlas（TCGA） database. A total of 53 genes,including oncogenic lineage protein 28 homolog B（LIN28B） gene and RNA-binding motif protein Y-linked（RBMY） gene, are identified to be consistently co-expressed with TSPY, and have been collectively designated as the TSPY co-expression network（TCN）. TCN genes were simultaneously activated in subsets of liver hepatocellular carcinoma（30%） and lung adenocarcinoma（10%） regardless of pathological stage, but only minimally in other cancer types. Further analysis revealed that the DNA methylation level was globally lower in the TCN-active than TCN-silent cancers. The specific expression and methylation patterns of TCN genes suggest that they could be useful as biomarkers for the diagnosis,prognosis and clinical management of cancers, especially those for liver and lung cancers, associated with TSPY co-expression network genes.

The hybrid lattice, known as a discrete Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation, is found to be a discrete modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation in this paper. The coupled hybrid lattice, which is pointed to be a discrete coupled KdV system, is also found to be discrete form of a coupled mKdV systems. Delayed differential reduction system and pure difference systems are derived from the coupled hybrid system by means of the symmetry reduction approach. Cnoidal wave, positon and negaton solutions for the coupled hybrid system are proposed.

Osteoporosis and consequent fracture are not limited to postmenopausal women. There is increasing attention being paid to osteoporosis in older men. Men suffer osteoporotic fractures about 10 years later in life than women, but life expectancy is increasing faster in men than women. Thus, men are living long enough to fracture, and when they do the consequences are greater than in women, with men having about twice the 1-year fatality rate after hip fracture, compared to women. Men at high risk for fracture include those men who have already had a fragility fracture, men on oral glucocorticoids or those men being treated for prostate cancer with androgen deprivation therapy. Beyond these high risk men, there are many other risk factors and secondary causes of osteoporosis in men. Evaluation includes careful history and physical examination to reveal potential secondary causes, including many medications, a short list of laboratory tests, and bone mineral density testing by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry （DXA） of spine and hip. Recently, international organizations have advocated a single normative database for interpreting DXA testing in men and women. The consequences of this change need to be determined. There are several choices of therapy for osteoporosis in men, with most fracture reduction estimation based on studies in women.
