Owing to its cost‐effectiveness and adjustable eight‐electron distribution in the 3d orbital,nickel oxide(NiO)is considered an effective electrocatalyst for an ambient electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR).However,because of the low conductivity of the transition metal oxide electrocatalyst,its application in this field is *** this study,we found that the doping of NiO nanosheets with a small amount(3–10 nm)of Pt nanoparticles(Pt/NiO‐NSs)leads to considerable improvements in the Faradaic efficiency(FE)and NH_(3) yield compared with those obtained using pure NiO,breaking the common perception that commercial Pt‐based electrocatalysts demonstrate little potential for NRR due to their high hydrogen evolution *** a 0.1 mol/L Na_(2)SO_(4) solution at−0.2 V ***,a typical Pt/NiO‐2 sample exhibits an optimum electrochemical NH_(3) yield of 20.59μg h^(–1)mg^(–1)*** an FE of 15.56%,which are approximately 5 and 3 times greater,respectively,than those of pure NiO nanosheets at the same applied potential.X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis revealed that Pt in Pt/NiO‐NSs exist as Pt0,Pt^(2+),and Pt^(4+)and that high‐valence Pt ions are more electropositive,thereby favoring chemisorption and the activation of N2 *** function theory calculations showed that the d‐band of Pt nanoparticles supported on NiO is significantly tuned compared to that of pure Pt,affording a more favorable electronic structure for *** results of this study show that Pt can be an effective NRR electrochemical catalyst when loaded on an appropriate *** importantly,it provides a new synthetic avenue for the fabrication of highly active Pt‐based NRR electrocatalysts.

The emerging two-dimensional(2D)materials,MXenes,play an important role in various fields of energy storage and exhibit excellent electrochemical ***,we prepared few-layered MXenes(F-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x))and loaded te on the surface of F-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) by using a simple hightemperature evaporation *** addition,the electrochemical performance of the aluminum battery with F-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) as support material was *** initial charge/discharge specific capacities are 987/1096mAh g^(-1)at 0.2Ag^(-1).An obvious discharge voltage plateau of about 1.3V appears at various current *** specific capacity is about 258mAh g^(-1)with MXenes@te as the active material in the aluminum battery,which benefits from the excellent electronic conductivity of the MXenes and their 2D layered *** functional theory calculations were carried out to explore the ***_(3)C_(2)O_(2)@te is more inclined to adsorb[AlCl_(4)]^(-) than Ti_(3)C_(2)O_(2).Furthermore,the valence change behavior of element te was studied by using thermodynamic calculation(FactSage 7.1).X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results show that when the battery is fully charged to 2.4V element te and Ti ions(Ti^(3+),Ti^(2+))are oxidized to te^(4+)and Ti^(4+).In contrast to the charging process,the high-valence te^(4+)and Ti^(4+)are reduced again during *** te is reduced to lower-valence te^(2-)when the discharge voltage is lower than 0.6 V,and a higher charge voltage(2.56 V)is required for te to be oxidized to te^(6+).

We obtained TiNiSn-based half-Heusler Hf_(x)Ti_(1-x)NiSn_(0.97)Sb_(0.03)bulks with 85%-96%relative densities via 5-min microwave synthesis and 20-min microwave sintering in sealed *** phase composition and microstructure of samples were characterized by X-ray diffractometer(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Thermoelectric(te)properties were measured,i.e.,Seebeck coefficient(S),electrical resistivity(ρ),and thermal conductivity(κ)through Seebeck coefficient/resistance analysis system(S/RAs)and laser flash thermal analyzer(LFT).The results show that the nearly single phase exists after microwave *** grain sizes and the number of grain boundaries decrease with increase in Hf-doping amount due to an increase in point *** matrix grains for Hf_(0.1)Ti_(0.9)NiSn_(0.97)Sb_(0.03)are~10μ*** nanoscle pores and precipitates are present as second phases in matrix *** real composition for Hf_(0.1)Ti_(0.9)NiSn_(0.97)Sb_(0.03)matrix grain is Hf_(3.51)Ti_(28.76)-Ni_(34.76)Sn_(31.55)Sb_(1.43).The variation trends of electrical resistivity,Seebeck coefficient,power factor,and thermal conductivity were analyzed in *** maximum figure of merit(ZT)of 0.46 is obtained for Hf_(0.1)Ti_(0.9-)NiSnSn_(0.97)Sb_(0.03)at 723 *** innovation route exhibits advantages for predation of te bulks when compared to the conventional methods,especially in terms of efficiency while it still maintains te performance.

The application of CaO refractories was limited due to its poor hydration *** appropriate additive is an effective way to improve its hydration *** WO3 was introduced in the preparation of CaO aggregates using calcination method in this *** introduction of WO3 decreased the apparent porosity of CaO aggregates and promoted the grain growth of CaO by the formation of liquid at high *** average grain size of the specimens with 0.4 mass%WO3 and treated at 1550℃was increased to 51.6μm comparing to 33.5μm that without WO3 *** a result,the hydration resistance of CaO aggregate was significantly ***,WO3 sublimate easily,therefore,less WO3 was remained after the heat *** further increase of WO3 addition had little effect on the hydration resistance of CaO specimens.

Due to the process disturbances and uncertainties,the operating performance of industrial process may deviate from the optimal operating point along with ***,non-optimal operation may lead to decline production quality and economic *** it is significant to implement online assessment strategy and further analyze the actual process operating performance,so as to make the production process in the best operating performance as far as *** process data is strongly nonlinear due to the change of system state caused by the change of machine performance or operation *** this time,the relationship between the local nearest neighbor samples is ***,the existing methods of operating performance assessment for solving nonlinear problems only focus on the global structure of data,i.e.,the variance,while ignoring the local neighborhood structure in each performance ***,a new method called kernel locally linear embedding PLS(KLLEPLS) is developed and applied for operating performance *** includes offline modeling,online evaluation and non-optimal cause *** algorithm not only has concise expression and similar analytical solutions for PLS,but also retains the original geometric structure of strongly nonlinear data when extracting the maximum correlation information between process ***,the practice and effectiveness of the proposed method are demonstrated by the dense medium coal preparation process and tennessee Eastman(te) process.

In this study,yttrium as desulfurizer on the purification of Ni-20Co-20Cr-10Al-Y alloy during vac-uum induction melting(VIM)process using Y_(2)O_(3)cru-cibles was investigated *** is found that Y plays an important role on the desulfurizing of the NiCo-CrAIY *** any addition of Y,merely the employment of Y_(2)O_(3)crucibles could effectively reduce S content of the alloy melts from 28×10^(-6)to 6×10^(-6)-7×10^(-6).With addition of 0.8 wt%Y in the alloy,the concentration of S could further reduce 2×10^(7)3×10^(-6).The primary interactive mechanism between Y and molten alloy was concluded to be the synthesis reac-tion of NisY phase,Y2S3 phases and YAIO_(3)*** the desulfurize slags,Y2S3 phases and Y_(2)O_(3)phase are *** secondary contamination is present in the alloy melts after addition of Y.
