The research aims to explore the transition from monolithic Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs) to Microservices-based DXPs, addressing scalability challenges. The study systematically decomposes monolithic structures into Microservices, emphasizing business capability and subdomain decomposition. Concrete insights, challenges, and solutions encountered during this transformation process are presented. The research contributes valuable insights into the challenges and benefits of adopting Microservices in DXPs. Results highlight the importance of architectural patterns and strategic scaling dimensions for improved performance and scalability. The case study on Backbase’s Engagement Banking Platform showcases successful implementation, providing flexibility, integration, and efficient development in the evolving DXP landscape.

The optimal stent pusher position to achieve successful ureteral stent insertion under fluoroscopic guidance

Objective: To examine factors to predict the optimal stent pusher position when inserting ureteral stents under ***: We retrospectively reviewed 327 patients who underwent ureteral stent insertion. We considered the pubic bone as a useful anatomical landmark to insert ureteral stents under fluoroscopic guidance. Thus, we categorized patients into three groups (proximal, middle, and distal groups) according to the position of the radiopaque tip of the push catheter when inserting the ureteral stent. Success was defined as a completely curled ureteral stent tail. We compared stent insertion success rates among the three groups. A multivariate analysis was performed to identify the factors affecting stent insertion ***: In men, 36 (63.2%) cases were deemed successful in the proximal group compared with 40 (80.0%) cases in the middle group and 12 (20.7%) cases in the distal group (p<0.001). In women, 26 (45.6%) cases were deemed successful in the proximal group compared with 54 (98.2%) cases in the middle group and 38 (76.0%) cases in the distal group (p<0.001). With the multivariate analysis, the stent pusher position was the most significant factor influencing successful stent insertion (men: odds ratio 6.00, 95% confidence interval 2.66-13.51, p<0.001;women: odds ratio 37.80, 95% confidence interval 4.94-289.22, p<0.001).Conclusion: The position of the stent pusher affects stent insertion success. The middle of the pubic symphysis is the optimal position for the radiopaque tip of the pusher when inserting ureteral stents under fluoroscopic guidance.

InGaN/GaN micro-light-emitting diodes(micro-LEDs)with a metal–insulator-semiconductor(MIS)structure on the sidewall are proposed to improve *** this MIS structure,a sidewall electrode is deposited on the insulating layer-coated sidewall of the device mesa between a cathode on the bottom and an anode on the ***(EL)measurements of fabricated devices with a mesa diameter of 10μm show that the application of negative biases on the sidewall electrode can inc.ease the device external quantum efficiency(EQE).In contrast,the application of positive biases can decrease the *** band structure analysis reveals that the EQE is impacted because the application of sidewall electric fields manipulates the local surface electron density along the mesa sidewall and thus controls surface Shockley–Read–Hall(SRH)*** suggested strategies,reducing insulator layer thickness and exploring alternative materials,can be implemented to further improve the EQE of MIS micro-LEDs in future fabrication.

BACKGROUND Gallstone disease is one of the most common digestive disorders in the United States and leads to significant morbidity,mortality,and health care *** To expand on earlier findings and investigate prepandemic rates and trends in the gallstone disease burden in the United States using national survey and claims *** The National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey,National Inpatient Sample,Nationwide Emergency Department Sample,Nationwide Ambulatory Surgery Sample,Vital Statistics of the United States,Optum Clinformatics®Data Mart,and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Medicare 5%Sample and Medicaid files were used to estimate claims-based prevalence,medical care inc.uding cholecystectomy,and mortality with a primary or other gallstone *** were age-adjusted(for national databases)and shown per 100000 *** Gallstone disease prevalence(claims-based,2019)was 0.70%among commercial insurance enrollees,1.03%among Medicaid beneficiaries,and 2.09%among Medicare beneficiaries and rose over the previous ***,in the United States population,gallstone disease contributed to approximately 2.2 million ambulatory care visits,1.2 million emergency department visits,625000 hospital discharges,and 2000 deaths *** had higher medical care rates with a gallstone disease diagnosis,but mortality rates were higher among *** had higher ambulatory care visit and hospital discharge rates compared with Whites,but not mortality *** had lower ambulatory care visit and mortality rates,but similar hospital discharge rates compared with *** the study period,ambulatory care and emergency department visit rates with a gallstone disease diagnosis rose,while hospital discharge and mortality rates *** commercial insurance enrollees,rates were higher compared with national data for ambulatory care visits and hospitalizations,but lower for emergency department ***

Refactoring tools, whether fully automated or semi-automated, are essential components of the software development life cycle. As software libraries and frameworks evolve over time, it’s crucial for programs utilizing them to also evolve to remain compatible with modern advancements. Take, for example, NVIDIA CUDA’s platform for general-purpose GPU programming. Embracing the more contemporary unified memory architecture offers several benefits, such as simplifying program source code, reducing bugs stemming from manual memory management between host and device memory, and optimizing memory transfer through automated memory handling. This paper describes our development of a refactoring tool based on Clang’s Libtooling to facilitate this transition automatically, thereby relieving developers from the burden and risks associated with manually refactoring large code bases.

For microelectronic devices,the on-chip microsupercapacitors with facile construction and high performance,are attracting researchers'prior consideration due to their high compatibility with modern ***,we proposed interchanging interdigital Au-/MnO_(2)/polyethylene dioxythiophene stacked microsupercapacitor based on a microfabrication process followed by successive electrochemical *** stacked configuration of two pseudocapacitive active microelectrodes meritoriously leads to an enhanced contact area between MnO_(2)and the conductive and electroactive layer of polyethylene dioxythiophene,hence providing excellent electron transport and diffusion pathways of electrolyte ions,resulting in inc.eased pseudocapacitance of MnO_(2)and polyethylene *** stacked quasi-solid-state microsupercapacitors delivered the maximum specific capacitance of 43 mF cm^(-2)(211.9 F cm^(-3)),an energy density of 3.8μWh cm^(-2)(at a voltage window of 0.8 V)and 5.1μWh cm^(-2)(at a voltage window of 1.0 V)with excellent rate capability(96.6%at 2 mA cm^(-2))and cycling performance of 85.3%retention of initial capacitance after 10000 consecutive cycles at a current density of 5 mA cm^(-2),higher than those of ever reported polyethylene dioxythiophene and MnO_(2)-based planar *** from the favorable morphology,bilayer microsupercapacitor is utilized as a flexible humidity sensor with a response/relaxation time superior to those of some commercially available integrated *** strategy will be of significance in developing high-performance on-chip integrated microsupercapacitors/microsensors at low cost and environment-friendly routes.

Data storage solutions are a crucial aspect of any application, significantly impacting data management and system performance. This article explores the rationale behind utilizing both SQL and NoSQL databases, addressing key questions about when each type is preferable. The background emphasizes the importance of selecting the appropriate database technology to meet specific application requirements. The purpose of this research is to provide a comprehensive guide for choosing between SQL and NoSQL databases based on various factors, inc.uding workload characteristics, scalability needs, and consistency requirements. To achieve this, we examine different strategies for implementing SQL and NoSQL databases in large-scale distributed applications and systems. The research method involves a comparative analysis of the features, advantages, and limitations of both database types. We specifically focus on scenarios involving read-heavy versus write-heavy systems and the trade-offs between availability and consistency. The results of this research indicate that SQL databases, with their relational structure and ACID compliance, are ideal for applications requiring complex queries and data integrity. In contrast, NoSQL databases, offering schema flexibility and horizontal scalability, are better suited for managing extensive datasets and high-velocity data ingestion. In conclusion, the selection of a database depends on the specific needs of the application. SQL databases are preferred for transactional systems with complex relationships, while NoSQL databases excel in scenarios demanding flexibility and scalability. The study provides insights into hybrid approaches, leveraging both database types to optimize system performance.
