become an outstanding type of theranostic probe because of tunable luminescence,superior pharmacokinetics,low toxicity,and rich surface *** second near-infrared(NIR-Ⅱ)luminescence offers unique merits,such as deep tissue penetration,high spatial resolution,and admirable signal-noise ratio,creating many opportunities and challenges for ultrasmall AuNPs in advanced biomedical ***,this review illustrates the recent advances of ultrasmall AuNPs in understanding the NIR-Ⅱ mechanisms,clearance pathways,and related biomedical *** firstly elucidate the present understanding of the NIR-Ⅱ mechanisms of ultrasmall AuNPs,along with some effective strategies for enhancing NIR-Ⅱ luminescence,namely heterometal doping and surface ***,we discuss the impact of their structures on liver clearance and kidney ***,we highlight the major biomedical applications of these ultrasmall AuNPs in bioimaging,antibacterial,nanomedicine,and drug ***,we offer some outlooks on the challenges and chances of ultrasmall AuNPs for later research endeavors to promote their clinical translation in the biomedical field.

Non-centrosymmetric material systems can generate spontaneous photocurrent without a p-n junction under uniform illumination, which is known as the bulk photovoltaic effect（BPVE）. It has garnered significant attention for its application potential in the fields of energy harvesting and photoelectric detection. In this study, we report the BPVE observed in twodimensional ferroelectric α-In2Se3multilayer flakes. The reversal in spontaneous photocurrent polarity is observed and associated with the out-of-plane ferroelectric polarization direction. The spontaneous photocurrent originating from the shift current is also polarization-sensitive. The amplitude of spontaneous photocurrent is further increased by one order of magnitude through vacuum annealing. Our results provide a further application potential for new-generation photodetectors based on BPVE with low power consumption and multi-dimensional optoelectronic detection.

Seed priming is an effective seed pretreatment technology that enhances germination and overall crop performance by optimizing seed hydration and metabolic processes before *** quality is a critical determinant of cotton(Gossypium hirsutum)crop performance,influencing germination,plant vigor,and *** study evaluates the effects of seed priming with potassium salts(1%and 2%KCl and K2SO4)on germination,morphological traits,and Cry1Ac gene expression in three Bt cotton cultivars(IUB-2013,NIAB-878B,FH-142)as Cry1Ac enhance the pest resistance in Bt cotton and reduce the plant’s dependence on chemical *** were primed for six hours,air-dried,and sown in the *** rates,plant height,number of bolls per plant,boll weight,seed cotton yield,and ginning outturn(GOT)were assessed at crop ***1Ac gene expression was quantified to explore the influence of priming treatments on transgene *** demonstrated that 1%K2SO4 priming significantly enhanced germination and yield-related traits,with Cry1Ac expression peaking in the IUB-2013 cultivar under 1%K2SO4 *** findings suggest that potassium-based halopriming improves cotton seedling establishment and Bt gene *** study addresses the critical gaps in understanding the effects of seed halopriming on morphological traits,germination,and expression of the Cry1Ac gene in Bt cotton while providing a novel eco-friendly and cost-effective halopriming approach,offering the potential to improve cotton production.

With the increasing prevalence of lithium-ion batteries（LIBs） applications,the demand for high-capacity next-generation materials has also *** currently considered a promising anode material due to its exceptionally high capacity for ***,the significant volumetric changes of SiOxduring cycling and its initial Coulombic efficiency（ICE） complicate its use,whether alone or in combination with graphite *** this study,a three-dimensional conductive binder network with high electronic conductivity and robust elasticity for graphite/SiOxblended anodes was proposed by chemically anchoring carbon nanotubes and carboxymethyl cellulose binders using tannic acid as a chemical *** addition,a dehydrogenation-based prelithiation strategy employing lithium hydride was utilized to enhance the ICE of *** combination of these two strategies increased the CE of SiOxfrom 74% to87% and effectively mitigated its volume expansion in the graphite/SiOxblended electrode,resulting in an efficient electron-conductive binder *** led to a remarkable capacity retention of 94% after30 cycles,even under challenging conditions,with a high capacity of 550 mA h g-1and a current density of 4 mA ***,to validate the feasibility of utilizing prelithiated SiOxanode materials and the conductive binder network in LIBs,a full cell incorporating these materials and a single-crystalline Ni-rich cathode was *** cell demonstrated a～27.3% increase in discharge capacity of the first cycle(～185.7 mA h g-1) and exhibited a cycling stability of 300 ***,this study reports a simple,feasible,and insightful method for designing high-performance LIB electrodes.

Increasing nitrogen and phosphorus discharge and decreasing sediment input have made silicon(Si)a limiting element for diatoms in *** in nutrient structure and salinity fluctuation can greatly affect metal uptake by estuarine ***,the combined effects of Si and salinity on metal accumulation in these diatoms have not been *** this study,we aimed to investigate how salinity and Si availability combine to influence the adsorption of metals by a widely distributed diatom Phaeodactylum *** data indicate that replete Si and low salinity in seawater can enhance cadmium and copper adsorption onto the diatom *** the single-cell level,surface potential was a dominant factor determining metal adsorption,while surface roughness also contributed to the highermetal loading capacity at lower *** a combination of noninvasive micro-test technology,atomic force microscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,we demonstrate that the diversity and abundance of the functional groups embedded in diatom cell walls vary with salinity and Si *** results in a change in the cell surface potential and transient metal *** study provides novel mechanisms to explain the highly variable metal adsorption capacity of a model estuarine diatom.

As a generalization of Einstein's theory, Horava-Lifshitz gravity has attracted significant interest owing to its healthy ultraviolet behavior. In this paper, we analyze the impact of the Horava-Lifshitz corrections on the gravitomagnetic field. We propose a new measurement method for the planetary gravitomagnetic field based on space-based laser interferometry, which is further used to constrain the Horava-Lifshitz parameters. Our analysis shows that high-precision laser gradiometers can indeed limit the parameters in Horava-Lifshitz gravity and improve the results by one or two orders of magnitude compared with the existing theories. Our novel method also provides insights into how to constrain the parameters in the modified gravitational theory to gain deeper understanding of this complex framework and pave the way for potential technological advancements in the field.
