Characterization of the Hot Deformation Behavior of Cu–Cr–Zr Alloy by Processing Maps

Hot deformation behavior of the Cu-Cr-Zr alloy was investigated using hot compressive tests in the tem- perature range of 650-850℃ and strain rate range of 0.001-10 s-1. The constitutive equation of the alloy based on the hyperbolic-sine equation was established to characterize the flow stress as a function of strain rate and deformation temperature. The critical conditions for the occurrence of dynamic recrystallization were determined based on the alloy strain hardening rate curves. Based on the dynamic material model, the processing maps at the strains of 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 were obtained. When the true strain was 0.5, greater power dissipation efficiency was observed at 800-850 ℃ and under 0.001-0.1 s-1, with the peak efficiency of 47%. The evolution of DRX microstructure strongly depends on the deformation temperature and the strain rate. Based on the processing maps and microstructure evolution, the optimal hot working conditions for the Cu-Cr-Zr alloy are in the temperature range of 800-850 ℃ and the strain rate range of 0.001-0.1 s-1.

Background: The possibility exists that cocaine use in the absence of frank clinical presentation of acute cardiac events may be associated with subclinical injury including the release of myoglobin which is a nonspecific marker for cardiac and skeletal muscle damage. Objectives: This investigation examined urine specimens for potential differences between cocaine use and the expression of myoglobin (a marker associated with cardiovascular damage, inflammation and oxidative stress). Methods:40 urine specimens were assayed for cocaine metabolites, creatinine, total protein (BSA) and myoglobin using ELISA and colorimetry. Results: We observed significant differences between male control and male cocaine positive urines for myoglobin. Interestingly, there was no statistically significant difference in females between control and cocaine positive urines. Conclusion: Differences in the urinary expression of myoglobin may be important in evaluating the gender based effects of cocaine use and may have potential clinical applications which may be related to gender differences in signs and symptoms of cocaine toxicity.

Autonomous vehicles(AVs)are a promising emerging technology that is likely to be widely deployed in the near ***'s perception on AV safety is critical to the pace and success of deploying the AV *** studies found that people's perceptions on emerging technologies might change as additional information was *** investigate this phenomenon in the AV technology context,this paper conducted real-world AV experiments and collected factors that may associate with people's initial opinions without any AV riding experience and opinion change after a successful AV ride.A number of ordered probit and binary probit models considering data heterogeneity were employed to estimate the impact of these factors on people's initial opinions and opinion *** study found that people's initial opinions toward AV safety are significantly associated with people's age,personal income,monthly fuel cost,education experience,and previous AV ***,the factors dominating people's opinion change after a successful AV ride include people's age,personal income,monthly fuel cost,daily commute time,driving alone indicator,willingness to pay for AV technology,and previous AV *** results provide important references for future implementations of the AV ***,based on the inconsistent effects for variables across different models,suggestions for future transportation survey designs are provided.

Graphene-like MoS2 has attracted significant interest because of its unique electronic, optical, and catalytic properties with two-dimensional lamellar structure. Three kinds of intercalated MoS2 samples were prepared using different oxidation layering methods, which are the first steps of intercalation-detonation. The oxidation layering mechanism of graphene-like MoS2 was systematically characterized using Fourier transform infrared, X-ray photoelectron, and Raman spectroscopy techniques. The bulk MoS2 sample was gradually oxidized from the edge to the interlayer in the presence of concentrated H2SO4 and KMnO4. A large number of hydroxyl groups were bonded to the sulfur atom layer, forming S-OH bonds in the basal planes of the MoS2 structure. The addition of deionized water to concentrated H2SO4 generated a large amount of heat, promoting the generation of more S-OH bonds, destroying residual Van der Waals forces between the layers, and finally stripping off parts of the flakes. The continuous addition of deionized water in the high temperature stage resulted in the largest oxidative intercalation effect. Additional136 the I/factor was determined to compare the intensities of Blu and Alg peaks in the Raman spectra and quantify the effect of oxidative intercalation. The highest value of q was obtained when deionized water was added continuously during the preparation of intercalated MoS2.

Background:Africa reduced its under-5 mortality rate(U5MR)by more than 50%during the MDGs ***,it still has by far the highest average U5MR in the world-81 deaths compared to a global average of 43 deaths per 1000 births,with eight of the ten countries in the world with the highest child mortality *** primary objective of our study was to examine the socioeconomic,healthcare,and environmental determinants that most account for U5MR disparities between African ***:We used a series of ordinary least squares(OLS)regression models to assess the effects of 14 distinct socioeconomic,environmental and healthcare variables that account for the high U5MR differentials that persist between African *** conducted our analysis on 43 countries for which data were *** a dummy variable,we also emphasized factors that may be accounting for the disparity between the eight worstperforming countries and the remainder of the ***:Among all the determinants analyzed in our study,the results reveal that the factors that most account for the inequities observed are,in order,expenditure on healthcare(p<0.01),total fertility rate(p<0.01),income per capita(p<0.05),and access to clean water(p<0.1).Conclusions:Our results show that the gap between the best and worst performing countries in Africa can be significantly narrowed if government and donor interventions will target downstream factors such as improving education for mothers and sensitising them about birth control since fertility rate differences play a critical *** accessibility to clean water sources to reduce outbreaks of diarrhea diseases is also observed as a critical factor.
