The iron and steel industry generally features the characteristics of large volume of energy consumption, multiple sorts of energy medium, complex secondary conversion, more recyclable extra energy, and the energy management of the field may involve the entire personnel, process and system, covering all links from designing, purchasing, energy storage, processing and conversion, distribution, energy use and extra energy recycling. The implementation guidelines summarizes the energy management experience and results and provide a systematic approach for the implementation of GB/T 23331-2012 and GB/T 29456-2012, sharing svstematic instructions and suggestions for the implementing paths and methods of creating, implementing, maintaining and improving the energy management system （EnMS） at the enterprise level.

An improved defect recognition framework for casting based on DETR algorithm

The alumina-magnesia precast blocks developed in author’s company have been successfully used in 90-ton LF refining with an average service life 80-85 heats to meet the smelting demand of low carbon steel and ultra low carbon steel. The observation of the residual blocks revealed that the section of the used blocks was divided into four layers from inside to the surface, i.e., slag layer, reaction layer, penetration layer and the original block. It has been found that there was a certain degree of structure spalling of the used blocks. The main factor of blocks’ damage may be due to the penetration and erosion of molten slag. The results of SEM microstructure analysis indicated that the calcium oxide(CaO) of high basicity slag easily penetrated into the blocks and formed CA6 phase, and then transformed into CA2 or C12A7 phases gradually with the decreasing content of alumina (Al2O3 ). It has been found that an annular distribution structure, and the silicon dioxide (SiO2 ) was easily lost together with slag and formed SiO2 -rich part in the penetration layer due to the formation of low viscosity and low melting point phase of C2 AS. A large number of -5um spinel particles (MgAl2O4 ) were synthesized at 16001700℃, which could absorb FeO, MnO and other impurities in slag to form composite spinel phase. It is believed that the high melting point phases intertwined to form a dense area which was beneficial to improve the bricks’ slag resistances to penetration and corrosion

The current casting surface defect detection algorithms suffer from poor small target defect recognition and imbalance between detection performance and detection *** improved algorithmic framework for casting defect detection was proposed based on the DEtection TRansformer(DETR)*** algorithm takes ResNet with an efficient channel attention(ECA)-Net module as the backbone *** addition,based on the original algorithm architecture,dynamic anchor boxes,improved multi-scale deformable attention module,and SIoU loss function are introduced to improve the sensitivity of transformer structure to input location information and scale size,and the small target defect detection performance is effectively *** recognition performance of the algorithm in a self-built casting defect dataset was *** improved DETR algorithm has 97.561% accuracy in recognizing two defects,namely sandinclusion and notch,with the detection rate being improved by 65.854% and 17.073% compared with the original DETR and you only look once(Yolo)-V5,*** algorithm verifies the applicability of the transformer architecture target detection algorithm for casting defect detection tasks and provides new ideas for detecting other similar application scenarios.

iron & steel industrial circulating water system there is a scaling and corrosion problems, the system fouling or corrosion may be judged by monitoring the water quality Stability *** this paper, we use the magnetic treatment equipment developed by us in the laboratory to simulate the physical treatment process of magnetic field on the industrial circulating water system, and the experimental data is analysis by two-way *** have found that: when the circulating water is tap water:(1) if water velocity is 0.6m/s, the magnetic field intensity, magnetic treatment time has a significant influence on the PSI, PSI decline with the magnetic field processing time to increase, and the PSI as well as the time have a good linear relationship;(2) if water velocity is 1.2m/s, the magnetic field strength has a significant influence on the PSI;(3) if water velocity is 2.3m/s, the magnetic field intensity and time has a significant effect for the PSI;when the magnetic field strength is 3.4T, and reaction time is 5 h, PSI is close to 6, water quality is stable;(4) speed and the magnetic field there is an interaction for PSI, that the magnetic field strength and speed of circulating water changes in the PSI *** the circulating water is CaC l2 and Na2co3 aqueous solution configuration: as water velocity is 1.2m/s and well as 2.3m/s, the magnetic field strength and time has a significant effect on the *** results show that: iron & steel industrial circulating water system be deal with by proper the magnetic field treatment can control the *** appropriate range PSI of the circulating water can reduce the fouling and corrosion damage, it is significant to develop circulating water system quality control model.

Liners in wet ball mill for mineral processing industry must bear abrasive wear and corrosive wear, and consequently, the service life of the liner made from traditional materials, such as Hadfield steel and alloyed steels, is typically less than ten months. Bimetal liner, made from high Cr white cast iron and carbon steel, has been successfully developed by using liquid-liquid composite lost foam casting process. The microstructure and interface of the composite were analyzed using optical microscope, SEM, EDX and XRD. Micrographs indicate that the boundary of bimetal combination regions is staggered like dogtooth, two liquid metals are not mixed, and the interface presents excellent metallurgical bonding state. After heat treatment, the composite liner specimens have shown excellent properties, including hardness 〉 61 HRC, fracture toughness ak 〉16.5 ***2 and bending strength 〉1,600 MPa. Wear comparison was made between the bimetal composite liner and alloyed steel liner in an industrial hematite ball mill of WISco, and the results of eight-month test in wet grinding environment have proved that the service life of the bimetal composite liner is three times as long as that of the alloyed steel liner.

High Temperature Oxidation Behavior of High Speed steel for Roll in Water Vapor

The oxidation behavior of high speed steel (HSS) was researched by high temperature thermo balance at 500 to 800 °C in water vapor. The morphology was observed by scanning electron microscope, the microstructure of oxide scale was analyzed by energy dispersive spectrometer and X-ray diffraction spectrum. The results indicate that the mass gain of HSS increases with oxidation temperature rising, the effect of oxidation temperature on the morphology is obvious, water vapor temperature only affects mass gain and affects hardly morphology of oxide scale at the same oxidation temperature. The relevant oxidation mechanisms are also discussed.

The high efficiency of Ce addition in grain refinement ofδ-ferrite in a cast Fe–4 wt.%Si alloy was *** order to further understand the solute effect of Ce on the grain refinement of δ-ferrite,the conventional directional solidification technique,which enabled to freeze the solid–liquid interface to room temperature,was used to investigate the interfacial morphology and solute redistribution in the liquid at the front of the interface,together with thermodynamic calculation of the equilibrium partition coefficients of Ce and Si in Fe–4 wt.%Si–Ce system using the Equilib module and the FsStel database in FactSage software *** examination using a laser scanning confocal microscope showed a transition of the solid–liquid interface from planar to cellular in the Fe–4 wt.%Si alloy after adding 0.0260 wt.%Ce during the directional solidification ***,electron probe microanalysis revealed an enhanced segregation of Si solute in the liquid at the front of the solid–liquid interface due to the Ce *** solute segregation is considered as the cause of planar to cellular interface transition,which resulted from the creation of constitutional supercooling *** calculation indicated that Ce also segregated at the solid–liquid interface and the Ce addition had negligible effect on the equilibrium partition coefficient of *** is reasonable to consider that the contribution of Ce to the grain refinement ofδ-ferrite in the cast Fe–4 wt.%Si alloy as a solute was marginal.
