OBJECTIVE:To explore the anti-aging effects of mild-warming moxibustion on Bcl-2 and PKC expression in peripheral blood and general symptoms in elderly ***:A total of 61 elderly people and 30 non-elderly people were *** total effective rate of mild-warming moxibustion was assessed by symptom scores,and Bcl-2 and PKC expression in peripheral blood was detected by flow ***:The total effective rate in the mild-warming moxibustion group was significantly higher than in the blank control group(Pgroup were lower than in the normal control group(P<0.01),but higher after mild-warming moxibustion(P<0.01).CONCLUSION:The anti-aging effects of mild-warm-ing moxibustion may be due to increased Bcl-2 and PKC expression in peripheral blood in aged people.

OBJECTIVE:Toidentify the potential risk factors associated with Shenqifuzheng injection(SFI), a solution made of Dangshen(Radix Codonopsis) and Huangqi(Radix Astragali Mongolici), for the timely provision of information to regulatory ***: A comprehensive analysis of the production process, quality standards, pharmacology,post-marketing clinical studies, and safety evaluation using the primary literature of adverse reactions(ADR), case analyses, and systematic reviews,intensive hospital safety monitoring of post-marketing drugs, and data provided by the hospital in-formationsystem(HIS).RESULTS: Sub-acute toxicity tests suggesting that a dose of 15 mL/kg(concentrated solution) had specific biological effects, whereas a smaller dose engendered no observable effects. Long-term toxicity testing in domestic rabbits showed that after SFI was administered for 90 days, the animals in each dosing group showed no chronic toxic reactions. Among 20 100 cases observed, the incidence of an ADR was 1.85‰. From March to November 2013,of the leading institutions and 22 sub-centers involved in the post-marketing clinical safety intensive hospital monitoring, 21 units completed 8484 cases of monitoring, and reported 23 cases of adverse reactions. No damage to renal function was found using SFI ata dosageanda treatment course larger and longer than that recommended for the adjuvant treatment of tumors. This could reduce the mortality rate of admitted patients based on the analysis of the data provided by the HIS. A total of 16 clinical case reports of adverse reactions related to SFI in 1999-2012 were obtained through literature retrieval. In order to explore the effects of the local strong stimulation generated by electro-acupuncture for treatment of the upper segment ureterolithiasis,a controlled study was carded out among the treatment group (electro-acupuncture with strong stimulation),the control group Ⅰ(medication) and the control group Ⅱ (conventional acupuncture).The results showed that the differences in the cure rate and the total effective rate between the treatment group and the two control groups were significant in statistical analysis (P<0.05 and P<0.01 respectively).This indicates that better therapeutic effects can be obtained by the local strong stimulation generated by electro-acupuncture for treatment of the upper segment ureterolithiasis.

Objective:To explore the influence of artificial luminous environment and preventive function of traditional Chinese medicine(tcm) intervention based on "Theory of yin-yang clock" on ***:A total of 45 New Zealand young rabbits were randomly divided into 5groups,9 for each *** group was exposed in natural *** group and full spectrum group were exposed in fluorescent light and full spectrum light,on which basis fluorescent tcm group and full spectrum tcm group were added with "Rizhong Yinyang Formulas",*** parameters were measured and the influence of different lights on the serum and retinal dopamine(DA) levels as well as the retinal histopathological tissues was ***:The spectrum of fluorescent light mainly focused at 420-490 nm with the peak value of wavelength near 450 nm,whereas that of full spectrum was wider(400-800 nm) with the peak value near 600 *** 4 and 12 weeks,fluorescent group was evidently lower in serum and retinal DA levels(Pgroup,fluorescent tcm group and full spectrum tcm group(P>0.05).Histopathological observation showed that there was significant difference in pigment epithelium layer,photoreceptor and nerve fiber layer between fluorescent group and control group,but the difference among the test groups was not ***:Fluorescent light has certain influence on retinal histological construction and visual ***,tcm intervention may have some degree of protective function on retina.

Objective: To observe the relation between the pain threshold and the therapeutic effects of acupuncture for sciatica. Methods: 90 sciatica patients were equally divided at random into the following 3 groups: a warming acupuncture group treated with the needles warmed by burning moxa, a western medicine group administered Nimesulide tablets and a point-injection group with Anisodamine injected. The pain threshold was tested before treatment and after the first, second and third treatment courses. Results: The warming acupuncture therapy showed better therapeutic effects than the other two groups with significant differences in the change of pain threshold and the improvement of clinical symptoms and signs (P<0.01). Conclusion: Acupuncture can relieve the symptoms of sciatica with the increase of pain threshold.

Objective: To evaluate the effects of the intelligent-turtle massage on the physical symptoms and immune functions in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). Methods: 182 cases of CFS were randomly divided into an experimental group of 91 cases treated by the intelligent-turtle massage, and a control group of 91 cases treated with the conventional massage method. After 2 courses of treatment, the therapeutic effects were statistically analyzed with the accumulated score for the improved clinical symptoms; and the changes of IgA, IgM and IgG were compared in 96 cases. Results: There was a significant difference between the two groups in the accumulated scores for improvement of the symptoms (Pgroups (P<0.05). Conclusion: The intelligent-turtle massage is an effective therapy for relieving the physical symptoms of CFS, and it may show certain effects on the immune functions.

Objective:To observe the effects of acupuncture at different times on plasma thromboxane(TXB2) and prostaglandin 6-Keto-PGF1a(6-K-P) in patients with ischemic cerebrovascular ***:Totally 90 patients were randomly divided into a group acupunctured at 7-9 am,a group acupunctured at 3-5 pm and a drug control group,with 30 cases in each *** contents of plasma TXB2 and 6-K-P from venous blood before treatment were compared with those 15 days after ***:The plasma TXB2 levels of the two acupuncture groups were obviously lower than those before treatment(Pgroups were remarkably higher than those before treatment(Pgroup was obviously lower than that in the 7-9 am acupuncture group(P<0.05) ,and the 6-K-P level of the former was obviously higher than that of the latter(P<0.05) .Conclusion:Acupuncture can promote functional recovery in patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease and enhance their survival quality.
