Objective To determine the frequency of condom breakage and understand if couple took any measure（s） to protect against pregnancy when condom breakage happened. Methods It＇s a prospective follow-up study. A total of 1 562 subjects in 9 districts of shanghai were selected. subjects were divided into two groups. Totally 812 subjects were in condomlemergency contraceptive pills（ECP） combined regimen group and 750 subjects were in the group of condom only. Each subject used daily diary card to record the presence or absence of menstrual bleeding or spotting, each act of sexual intercourse, condom problem, together with brief details about use of condom/postcoital ECP. The selected subjects were interviewed at the end of 1st, 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th month after enrollment with their diary to＇c＇ollect information mentioned above. Results The total condom breakage rate （CBR） of whole year was 0.53 per 1 000 condoms. The condom breakage ratio per 1 000 person months （CBRp） was 2.58. The result of multiple logistic regression showed that husbands＇ age, occupation and couples＂ condom using experience might affect the condom breakage. Compared with 〈30 years old husbands, subjects whose husbands were 30-34 years old and ≥35 years old could have higher CBR （RR=2.29, 4.07, respectively）. Compared with subjects whose husbands were medical staff, subjects whose husbands were teacher and scientific technician, manager, worker and service worker could have higher risk of condom breakage （RR=3.88, 9.30, 4.00 and 8.28, respectively）. subjects with condom using experience might have lower risk of condom breakage （RR=0.44）. Conclusion The condom breakage rate was age, husband＇s occupation and condom using affecting the condom breakage. significant associated with husband＇s experience. Those might be the factors

Breast milk is important for infant health. some of its benefits are due to the presence of a specific population of bacteria in the microflora. However, the microbiome of breast milk is influenced by many parameters such as maternal diet, breastfeeding and geographic location. Culture and non-culture methods have been used in studies of this bacterial population worldwide. But in the DR Congo, there was no study reporting the use of culture-independent techniques to characterize the bacterial diversity of human milk. The aim of this study was to identify the bacterial 16s rRNA gene from two genera Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. The 16s rRNA gene was also identified from four species: Lactobacillus reuteri, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium longum and Bifidobacterium lactis. This analytical cross-sectional study was conducted in Kinshasa. Breast milk from some healthy women was collected from February 2 to 28, 2018. A culture-independent protocol using the classical polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to identify the bacterial 16s rRNA gene. The 68 samples of breast milk were collected in a sterile condition. The bacteria-specific ribosomal gene 16s rRNA was detected in 91.18% of Lactobacillus and 32.35% of Bifidobacterium at genus level. At of species level, only Lactobacillus reuteri 16s rRNA gene was identified in 89.71%. The 16s rRNA gene from the other species could not be amplified. There was also an association between educational level and the presence of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus 16s rRNA genes in the breast milk (p = 0.008*, p Conclusion: This study demonstrates the presence of the bacterial 16s rRNA gene from Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium in breast milk at the genus and Lactobacillus reuteri at species level. A further study on the diet, use of antibiotics during pregnancy and lactation practice will provide a better understanding of the microflora of breast milk.

Background: Breast cancer mortality remains high in the majority of developing countries. The Ministry of Health has established two population-based cancer registries in Benin: the first one in Cotonou in 2014 and the second one in Parakou in 2017. However, there is a scarcity of data on breast cancer survival and prognosis in Benin Republic. Objective: This study sought to investigate epidemiological, diagnostic, and survival aspects of breast cancer in Parakou, based on data from its population-based cancer registry from 2017 to 2021. Method: For descriptive and analytical purposes, we used a retrospective cohort design. From January 24, 2022 to August 31, 2022, data were collected in all health facilities covered by the Parakou population-based cancer registry using an individual questionnaire. survival and prognosis analysis were performed using KAPLAN MEIER method and David COX proportional hazard model respectively. Result: A total of 81 patients have been included in this study. The incidence rate of breast cancer in Parakou was 17.5 per 100,000 person-years with a mortality rate of 2.76 per 100,000 person-years. The median age at diagnosis was 44.50 years with extremes ranging from 19 to 76 years and a predominance of 40 - 50 years age group. The median survival time was estimated at 30 months with an overall 5-year survival of 47%. Young age at diagnosis (p-value = 0.002) and advanced stage at diagnosis (p-value = 0.000) had a negative impact on survival in women. The combination of surgery and chemotherapy improved survival (p-value = 0.018). Conclusion: Breast cancer is still a public health issue in Parakou. It comes out mandatory that resources be made available to make screening, early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of breast cancer affordable.

Introduction: Immunosenescence contributes to the development of auto-antibodies. However, while the prevalence of some autoantibodies increases with age, the incidence of connective tissue diseases decreases with age. This study aims to determine the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of connective tissue diseases in the elderly population. Materials and Methods: We conducted a retrospective and descriptive study, from March 2010 to March 2021, in the Internal Medicine Department of Aristide Le Dantec Hospital, including all the medical records of patients followed up for connective tissue disease and whose symptomatology began at an age greater than or equal to 65 years. Epidemiological, clinical, paraclinical, therapeutic and evolutionary data were collected from a pre-established survey form and then processed using sPss software. Results: Overall, 22 cases were collected out of 275 seen on consultation. They involved 16 women and 6 men, aged between 65 and 85 years with a median of 70 years. The mean duration of the clinical picture was 15.7 months with extremes of 1 and 96 months. The clinical symptoms were joint pain in 21 patients associated with dry eye and mouth syndrome in seven cases and one patient underwent isolated dry eye and mouth syndrome. Joint involvement was deforming in 13 patients. Poor general condition was noted in 20 patients. Biology showed anemia in 14 patients, hyperleukocytosis (2 patients) and thrombocytosis (5 patients). The sedimentation rate (sR) was accelerated in 9 patients and the C-reactive protein (CRP) was positive in 12 patients. Immunology showed a positive Latex test (3 patients/6), Waaler-Rose reaction (8 patients/13), anti-cyclic citrullinated peptides (anti-CCP) antibodies (11 patients/11), anti-nuclear antibodies (2 patients/4). Introduction: Female sexual dysfunction (FsD) is a serious problem that affects negatively the quality of life, interpersonal relationships and female self- confidence and might be a direct cause of psychopathological disturbances. Female pattern hair loss (FPHL) is a common cosmetically disturbing condition affecting many women with social and psychological consequences. Aim of the Work: Assessment of the relationship between female sexual dysfunction and Female pattern hair loss in premenopausal females. Methods: A case-control study was carried on 47 female patients with FPHL and 43 age- matched control women without FPHL among premenopausal women attending dermatology and Andrology outpatient’s clinics, suez Canal university hospital during the period from May 2018 to January 2019. History taking, clinical examination and hormonal investigation (Free Testosterone, Total Testosterone, and sHBG) were performed to all participants in the study. Main Outcome Measures: The Female sexual Function Index (FsFI) was used to assess the key aspects of female sexual function in patients and controls. FPHL was diagnosed and graded by Ludwig’s classification. Results: Mean age of patients group was 30.12 ± 5.49 years, Regarding FPHL grading, 55.3%, 42.6% & 2.1% of patients were grades 1, 2 and 3 Ludwig’s classification respectively. FsD was found in 44.7% of patients while it was 44.2% in control group (P > 0.05). FsFI score in patients group was 26.40 ± 4.61 and in control group was 27.05 ± 3.12 (P > 0.05). Correlation between FsD prevalence and grade of FPHL by Ludwig’s classification was statistically insignificant. FsD was significantly compromised by increasing age and parity in patients and control groups (P Conclusions: The present study suggests that FsD was not significantly related to FPHL. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between sleep condition and autonomic nervous function of women in their 70s with type 2 diabetes mellitus by analyzing the activity counts (AC) on actigraphs and heart rate variability (HRV). Ten healthy women in their 30s to 40s as control and four women patients with type 2 diabetes in their 70s wore the electrocardiograph and an actigraph for 24 hours while keeping a diary of activities, including their sleep and food intake. The Pittsburgh sleep Quality Index was used to assess subjective sleep conditions. The subjective sleeping results were significantly correlated with those measured by the AC and HRV. However, AC and HRV correlation pattern showed different activity in the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The quality of sleep of those with chronic diabetes was not good even if their HbA1c was well controlled. Furthermore, their automatic nervous function was different from the control group. The sleeping hours of patients with type 2 diabetes were shorter or longer than those of healthy women. Ultimately, this study maintains that it is important to examine automatic nervous functions using objective examination index during the early stage of diabetes mellitus.

strong>Background: strong>Type 2 diabetes mellitus, beyond its well-known cardiovascular and neurological complications, is now increasingly recognized as having deleterious effects on bone tissue. It’s thus presented as an independent risk factor for bone fragility with a considerable fracture risk relating to many more or less intricate parameters. The general objective of our study is to assess bone mass during type 2 diabetes in senegalese women. strong>Methodology:strong> We had carried out a cross-sectional and descriptive study. socio-demographic characteristics were collected on the basis of a questionnaire. Then each of the subjects had undergone a complete clinical examination followed by a blood sample for a biological assessment of certain cardiovascular risk factors. Bone mass was measured using a bio-impedancemeter. strong>Results:strong> We recruited 88 women with type 2 diabetes and 83 healthy control women. The mean age of diabetic subjects was 52.7 years ± 6.8 (with extremes of 39 and 74 years). In control, the mean age was 51.0 ± 8.5 years (with extremes of 35 and 72 years). Among the diabetic subjects, 22 subjects or 25% practiced a regular walk against 27 (32.5%) in the control. Forty-three among the diabetic subjects (48.8%) were known hypertensive and followed. According to the body mass index, 71 patients (80.7%) were overweight compared to 59 (71.1%) controls. According to the waist size, 80 (90.9%) diabetic subjects had an elevated waist size compared to 69 control women (83.1%). Among diabetic subjects, 41 patients (46.5%) were hyperglycemic imbalance according to fasting blood glucose and 59 patients (67%) according to glycated hemoglobin level. Thirty-seven diabetics (42%), had both high fasting blood glucose and elevated glycated hemoglobin. The mean duration of diabetes was 8.68 ± 7.18 years. We found significantly higher bone mass in type 2 diabetic subjects (p = 0.03). Among diabetics, 27.3% had low bone mass compared to 36.

Cardiotocography(CTG)represents the fetus’s health inside the womb during ***,assessment of its readings can be a highly subjective process depending on the expertise of the *** signals from fetal monitors acquire parameters(i.e.,fetal heart rate,contractions,acceleration).Objective:This paper aims to classify the CTG readings containing imbalanced healthy,suspected,and pathological fetus ***:We perform two sets of ***,we employ five classifiers:Random Forest(RF),Adaptive Boosting(AdaBoost),Categorical Boosting(CatBoost),Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost),and Light Gradient Boosting Machine(LGBM)without over-sampling to classify CTG readings into three categories:healthy,suspected,and ***,we employ an ensemble of the above-described classifiers with the *** use a random over-sampling technique to balance CTG records to train the ensemble *** use 3602 CTG readings to train the ensemble classifiers and 1201 records to evaluate *** outcomes of these classifiers are then fed into the soft voting classifier to obtain the most accurate ***:Each classifier evaluates accuracy,Precision,Recall,F1-scores,and Area Under the Receiver Operating Curve(AUROC)*** reveal that the XGBoost,LGBM,and CatBoost classifiers yielded 99%***:Using ensemble classifiers over a balanced CTG dataset improves the detection accuracy compared to the previous studies and our first experiment.A soft voting classifier then eliminates the weakness of one individual classifier to yield superior performance of the overall model.

BACKGROUND Evidence for exercise as an efficacious strategy to improve aerobic capacity of breast cancer survivors(BCs)has come largely from intervention studies conducted in laboratory *** is an increasing need to translate to community-type settings,but the efficacy of those interventions using gold standard evaluation is not *** To investigate whether similar improvement in aerobic capacity(maximal oxygen consumption[VO2])measured with gold standard testing can be achieved through a community-based setting in *** A peak cardiopulmonary exercise test(VO2peak),6-min walk test(6MWT),and timed up and go test(TUG)were assessed pre-and post-16 wk of progressive intensity aerobic and strength training exercise at a community *** The sample consisted of 31 early BCs(since treatment completion)and 15 controls(CTLs).Both groups significantly improved VO2peak(+1.2 mL/kg/min;P=0.030),6MWT(+35 meters;Ps;Ps improved peak cycling power during the cardiopulmonary exercise test with BCs improving by+10 watts more than the CTLs(P=0.020).Average exercise attendance was 71%(34 of 48 possible days),but compliant days averaged only 60%of total days for aerobic,andstrength in both *** Community-based exercise programs can be an effective strategy to improve aerobic capacity and physical function for early-stage BCs but potentially not to the same extent observed in laboratory-based randomized controlled *** research is needed to explore barriers and facilitators of exercise engagement in community-based centers to maximize training benefits for adults with cancer.
