suboptimal Feature selection Techniques for Effective Malicious Traffic Detection on Lightweight Devices

With the advancement of wireless network technology,vast amounts of traffic have been generated,and malicious traffic attacks that threaten the network environment are becoming increasingly *** signature-based detection methods,static analysis,and dynamic analysis techniques have been previously explored for malicious traffic detection,they have limitations in identifying diversified malware traffic *** research has been focused on the application of machine learning to detect these ***,applying machine learning to lightweight devices like IoT devices is challenging because of the high computational demands and complexity involved in the learning *** this study,we examined methods for effectively utilizing machine learning-based malicious traffic detection approaches for lightweight *** introduced the suboptimal feature selection model(sFsM),a feature selection technique designed to reduce complexity while maintaining the effectiveness of malicious traffic *** performance was evaluated on various malicious traffic,benign,exploits,and generic,using the UNsW-NB15 dataset and sFsM sub-optimized hyperparameters for feature selection and narrowed the search scope to encompass all *** improved learning performance while minimizing complexity by considering feature selection and exhaustive search as two steps,a problem not considered in conventional *** experimental results showed that the detection accuracy was improved by approximately 20%compared to the random model,and the reduction in accuracy compared to the greedy model,which performs an exhaustive search on all features,was kept within 6%.Additionally,latency and complexity were reduced by approximately 96%and 99.78%,respectively,compared to the greedy *** study demonstrates that malicious traffic can be effectively detected even in lightweight device *** verified the possibility of detecting various attack

Influence of gut microbiome composition on effect variations of anti-cholesterol treatment among individual mice

This study investigated if the variation in the effect of anti-cholesterol(AC)treatment on individual mice are related to gut microbiome *** bile salt hydrolase(BsH)activity of 23 commercial fermented milk products was examined to select a fermented milk product for AC *** were fed to different diets for 6 weeks:high-fat(60%of total calories from fat;D1),high-dietary fibre(20%cellulose;D2),and low-fat(17.2%of total calories from fat;D3)diets to change their gut ***,faecal microbiome was transplanted(FMT)into mice treated with high cholesterol diet contained 2%cholesterol,followed by AC or non-AC(sterile tap water,sTW)*** groups with normal(NC)and highcholesterol diets(PC)were prepared for both AC and sTW *** experimental groups were subjected to serum and liver cholesterol,cholesterol metabolism-related(CMR)gene expression,and intestinal microbiome analyses.D3-FMT mice showed the most significant enhancements in cholesterol ratio and decreased hepatic cholesterol levels with AC ***,upregulation of the Cyp7a1 gene expression was observed in this ***,the intestinal microbiome analysis indicated higher abundances of BsH-producing Eubacterium,Bifidobacterium,and Parabacteroides in the D3-FMT+AC group compare to others,potentially contributing to increased bile acid synthesis.

Introduction Congenital granular cell epulis(CGCE)is a rare,benign tumor that manifests on the mucosal surface of the alveolar ridge in *** was initially described by Neumann in 1871 and has been referred to by various names such as congenital epulis,congenital epulis of the newborn,and congenital granular cell tumor.1 Documentation on larger tumors is limited and reported diameters vary.2 Diagnosis necessitates histological examination and immunohistochemical staining,typically revealing negative immunoreactivity for s-100 and cluster of differentiation 68(CD68).3,4 This article presents a case of CGCE with weakly positive s-100 and CD68 staining,alongside a relatively large ***,it conducts a literature review on diverse aspects,encompassing multidisciplinary prenatal diagnosis,antenatal management,choice of delivery mode during childbirth,and postnatal treatment,with the objective of augmenting clinicians’comprehension of the *** study adhered to the guidelines of the Declaration of Helsinki and obtained informed consent from the patient and approval from the medical ethics committee of Chongqing Health Center for women and Children.

Broadcasting gateway equipment generally uses a method of simply switching to a spare input stream when a failure occurs in a main input ***,when the transmission environment is unstable,problems such as reduction in the lifespan of equipment due to frequent switching and interruption,delay,and stoppage of services may ***,applying a machine learning(ML)method,which is possible to automatically judge and classify network-related service anomaly,and switch multi-input signals without dropping or changing signals by predicting or quickly determining the time of error occurrence for smooth stream switching when there are problems such as transmission errors,is *** this paper,we propose an intelligent packet switching method based on the ML method of classification,which is one of the supervised learning methods,that presents the risk level of abnormal multi-stream occurring in broadcasting gateway equipment based on ***,we subdivide the risk levels obtained from classification techniques into probabilities and then derive vectorized representative values for each attribute value of the collected input data and continuously update *** obtained reference vector value is used for switching judgment through the cosine similarity value between input data obtained when a dangerous situation *** the broadcasting gateway equipment to which the proposed method is applied,it is possible to perform more stable and smarter switching than before by solving problems of reliability and broadcasting accidents of the equipment and can maintain stable video streaming as well.

Osteogenesis imperfecta(OI)is a primary bone fragility disorder with an estimated prevalence of 1/15,000 births and is a hereditary syndrome characterized by one or more of the following:fractures,blue sclerae,impaired hearing,defective dentition,and hyperlaxibility throughout life.[1,2]We report a pregnant woman with type II OI and review her prenatal counseling,diagnosis,and pregnancy management to assist obstetricians in understanding the disease and managing it in emergency situations.

Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)play an indispensable role in the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer(OC).However,the potential involvement of lncRNAs in the progression of OC is largely *** investigate the detailed roles and mechanisms of RAD51 homolog B-antisense 1(RAD51B-As1),a novel lncRNA in OC,reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)was performed to verify the expression of *** proliferation,metastasis,and apoptosis were detected using the cell counting kit-8(CCK-8),colony-formation,transwell,and flow cytometry *** xenograft models were established for the detection of *** results revealed that RAD51B-As1 was significantly upregulated in a highly metastatic human OC cell line and OC ***51B-As1 significantly increased the proliferation and metastasis of OC cells and enhanced their resistance to *** prediction analysis revealed that the only target gene of RAD51B-As1 was *** gene function experiments revealed that RAD51B exerts the same biological effects as *** experiments demonstrated that the malignant biological behaviors promoted by RAD51B-As1 overexpression were partially or completely reversed by RAD51B silencing in vitro and in ***,RAD51B-As1 promotes the malignant biological behaviors of OC and activates the protein kinase B(Akt)/B cell lymphoma protein-2(Bcl-2)signaling pathway,and these effects may be associated with the positive regulation of RAD51B ***51B-As1 is expected to serve as a novel molecular biomarker for the diagnosis and prediction of poor prognosis in OC,and as a potential therapeutic target for disease management.

Ultrasound blood flow characteristics changes in fetal umbilical artery thrombosis:A retrospective analysis

BACKGROUND Umbilical artery thrombosis(UAT)is extremely uncommon and leads to adverse perinatal *** of blood in pregnant women is suspected to be an important risk for *** is an effective way to detect *** mother can monitor her own fetal health using ultrasound,which enables her to take preventative action in case of *** To investigate ultrasonic blood signal after UAT in the umbilical artery,and evaluate the relationship between hypercoagulability and *** We described a case of a newly formed UAT with markedly altered ultrasonic indices of umbilical artery blood flow,and retrospectively studied it with 18 UAT patients confirmed by histopathology from October 2019 and March 2023 in Xiamen women and Children's ***’information was collected from medical archives,including maternal clinical data,neonatal outcomes,pathological findings and ultrasonic indices of umbilical artery blood flow,such as systolic-diastolic duration ratio(s/D),resistance index(RI),pulsatility index(PI)and peak systolic velocity(PsV).Ultrasound and coagulation indices were analyzed with matched samples t-test and Wilcoxon rank sum test using the statistical packages in R(version 4.2.1)including car(version 3.1-0)and stats(version 4.2.1),and visualized by ggplot2 package(version 3.3.6).REsULTs A patient with normal findings in second and third-trimester routine ultrasound scan developed UAT with severe changes in ultrasonic indices of umbilical artery blood flow(within 2.5th of reference ranges)in a short period of *** analysis of umbilical artery blood flow ultrasound indices for 19 patients with UAT showed that the decrease in s/D,RI,and PI and increase of PsV during the disease process was greater than that of *** 18 patients delivered in our hospital showed characteristic manifestations of UAT on histological examination after delivery,most of which(16/18)showed umbilical cord abnormalities,with 1
