Background:The 8th American Joint Committee on Cancer tumor-node-metastasis(AJCC-TNM)staging system is based on a few retrospective single-center *** aimed to test the prognostic validity of the staging system and to determine whether a modified clinicopathological tumor staging system that includes lymphovascular emboliza-tion could increase the accuracy of prognostic prediction for patients with stage T2-3 penile ***:A training cohort of 411 patients who were treated at 2 centers in China and Brazil between 2000 and 2015 were staged according to the 8th AJCC-TNM staging *** internal validation was analyzed by bootstrap-corrected C-indexes(resampled 1000 times).data from 436 patients who were treated at 15 centers over four conti-nents were used for external ***:A survivorship overlap was observed between T2 and T3 patients(P=0.587)classified according to the 8th AJCC-TNM staging *** embolization was a significant prognostic factor for metastasis and survival(all Panalysis,only lymphovascular embolization showed a significant influ-ence on cancer-specific survival(CSS)(hazard ratio=1.587,95%confidence interval=1.253-2.011;P=0.001).T2 and T3 patients with lymphovascular embolization showed significantly shorter CSS than did those without lymphovascu-lar embolization(P<0.001).Therefore,a modified clinicopathological staging system was proposed,with the T2 and T3 categories of the 8th AJCC-TNM staging system being subdivided into two new categories as follows:t2 tumors invade the corpus spongiosum and/or corpora cavernosa and/or urethra without lymphovascular invasion,and t3 tumors invade the corpus spongiosum and/or corpora cavernosa and/or urethra with lymphovascular *** modified staging system involving lymphovascular embolization showed improved prognostic stratification with significant differences in CSS among all categories(all P<0.005)and exhibited higher accur

Purpose Observation of high energy and very high emission from Gamma Ray Bursts(GRBs)is crucial to study the gigantic explosion and the underline *** a large field-of-view and almost full duty cycle,the Water Cherenkov Detector Array(WCDA),a sub-array of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO),is appropriate to monitor the very high energy emission from unpredictable transients such as *** Nevertheless,the main issue for an extensive air shower array is the high energy threshold which limits the horizon of the *** address this issue a new trigger method is developed in this article to lower the energy threshold of WCDA for GRB *** The proposed method significantly improves the detection efficiency of WCDA for gamma-rays around the GRB direction at 10-300 *** sensitivity of the WCDA for GRB detection with the new trigger method is *** achieved sensitivity of the quarter WCDA array above 10 GeV is comparable with that of *** data analysis process and corresponding fluence upper limit for GRB 190719C is presented as an example.

背景:经肛全直肠系膜切除术(taTME)已成为一种前景良好的直肠癌治疗新术式。taTME具有能提供一个更好的远端直肠游离路径和获得更高质量的切除标本等潜在优势。本研究旨在评估taTME的可行性,并总结10家中国医疗中心的初步经验。方法:211例taTME手术患者纳入研究。回顾性收集并分析taTME的安全性、可行性及肿瘤学指标。结果:本组直肠癌患者肿瘤距肛缘的中位距离是5.9 cm(范围,1.5-12 cm)。中位手术时间280 min(范围,70-600 min),中位术中失血量50 mL(范围,10-1500 mL)。总并发症发生率为27.9%。211例患者中,175例(82.9%)手术标本系膜完整,33例(15.6%)接近完整。97.7%的患者环周切缘为阴性。术后中位随访35个月(范围,2-86个月),16例(7.6%)死亡,13例(6.2%)局部复发,27例(12.8%)出现远处转移。Kaplan-Meier生存分析显示,本组病例1、2、3年无病生存率分别为94.8%、89.3%和80.2%,1、2、3年总生存率分别为97.4%、95.7%和92.9%。结论:尽管存在回顾性研究的固有缺陷,但本研究仍初步证实了taTME用于一些经严格选择的直肠癌病例的安全性和可行性。未来要加强数据记录的准确性和完整性。

Uniqueness and perturbation bounds for sparse non-negative tensor equations

We discuss the uniqueness and the perturbation analysis for sparse non-negative tensor equations arriving from data sciences. By two different techniques, we may get better ranges of parameters to guarantee the uniqueness of the solution of the tensor equation. On the other hand, we present some perturbation bounds for the tensor equation. Numerical examples are given to show the efficiency of the theoretical results.

Although numerous studies have investigated premature deaths attributable to temperature,effects of temperature on years of life lost(YLL)remain *** estimated the relationship between temperatures and YLL,and quantified the YLL per death caused by temperature in *** collected daily meteorological and mortality data,and calculated the daily YLL values for 364 locations(2013–2017 in Yunnan,guangdong,Hunan,Zhejiang,and Jilin provinces,and 2006–2011 in other locations)in China.A time-series design with a distributed lag nonlinear model was first employed to estimate the location-specific associations between temperature and YLL rates(YLL/100,000 population),and a multivariate meta-analysis model was used to pool location-specific ***,YLL per death caused by temperatures was *** temperature and YLL rates consistently showed U-shaped associations.A mean of 1.02(95%confidence interval:0.67,1.37)YLL per death was attributable to *** temperature caused 0.98 YLL per death with most from moderate cold(0.84).The mean YLL per death was higher in those with cardiovascular diseases(1.14),males(1.15),younger age categories(1.31 in people aged 65–74 years),and in central China(1.34)than in those with respiratory diseases(0.47),females(0.87),older people(0.85 in people R75 years old),and northern China(0.64)or southern China(1.19).The mortality burden was modified by annual temperature and temperature variability,relative humidity,latitude,longitude,altitude,education attainment,and central heating *** caused substantial YLL per death in China,which was modified by demographic and regional characteristics.

Background:In China since the first human infection of avian influenza A(H7N9)virus was identified in 2013,it has caused serious public health concerns due to its wide spread and high mortality *** shows that bird migration plays an essential role in global spread of avian influenza ***,in this paper,we aim to identify key bird species and geographical hotspots that are relevant to the transmission of avian influenza A(H7N9)virus in ***:We first conducted phylogenetic analysis on 626 viral sequences of avian influenza A(H7N9)virus isolated in chicken,which were collected from the Global Initiative on Sharing All Influenza data(GISAID),to reveal geographical spread and molecular evolution of the virus in ***,we adopted the cross correlation function(CCF)to explore the relationship between the identified influenza A(H7N9)cases and the spatiotemporal distribution of migratory ***,the spatiotemporal distribution of bird species was generated based on bird observation data collected from China Bird Reports,which consists of 157272 observation records about 1145 bird ***,we employed a kernel density estimator to identify geographical hotspots of bird habitat/stopover that are relevant to the influenza A(H7N9)***:Phylogenetic analysis reveals the evolutionary and geographical patterns of influenza A(H7N9)infections,where cases in the same or nearby municipality/provinces are clustered together with small evolutionary ***,three epidemic waves in chicken along the East Asian-Australasian flyway in China are distinguished from the phylogenetic *** CCF analysis identifies possible migratory bird species that are relevant to the influenza A(H7N9)infections in Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang,Fujian,Jiangxi,and guangdong in China,where the six municipality/provinces account for 91.2%of the total number of isolated H7N9 cases in chicken in *** on the spatial distribution of identi

Background： With the progress ofperinatal medicine and neonatal technology, more and more extremely low birth weight （ELBW） survived all over the world. This study was designed to investigate the short-term ontcomes of ELBW infants during their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit （NICU） stay in the mainland of China. Methods： All infants admitted to 26 NICUs with a birth weight （BW）〈1000 g were included between January 1,2011 and December 31,2011. All the data were collected retrospectively from clinical records by a prospectively designed questionnaire. The data collected from each NICU transmitted to the main institution where the results were aggregated and analyzed. Categorical variables were performed with Pearson Chi-square test. Binary Logistic regression analysis was used to detect risk factors. Results： A total of 258 ELBW infants were admitted to 26 NICUs, of whom the mean gestational age （GA） was 28.1 ± 2.2 weeks, and the mean BW was 868 ± 97 g. The overall survival rate at discharge was 50.0%. Despite aggressive treatment 60 infants （23.3%） died and another 69 infants （26.7%） died after medical care withdrawal. Furthermore, the survival rate was significantly higher in coastal areas than inland areas （53.6% vs. 35.3%, P = 0.019）. BW 〈750 g and GA 〈28 weeks were the largest risk factors, and being small for gestational age was a protective factor related to mortality. Respiratory distress syndrome was the most common complication. The incidence of patent ductus arteriosus, intraventricular hemorrhage, periventricular leukomalacia, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, retinopathy of prematurity was 26.2%, 33.7%, 6.7%, 48.1%, and 41.4%, respectively. Ventilator associated pneumonia was the most common hospital acquired infection during hospitalization. Conclusions： Our study was the first survey that revealed the present status of ELBW infants in the mainland of China. The mortality and morbidity of ELBW infants remained high as compared to other developed countries.

Background data on the epidemiology of hypertension in Chinese non-dialysis chronic kidney disease （CKD） patients are *** aim of the present study was to investigate the prevalence,awareness,treatment,and control of hypertension in the non-dialysis CKD patients through a nationwide,multicenter study in *** The survey was performed in 61 tertiary hospitals in 31 provinces,municipalities,and autonomous regions in China （except Hong Kong,Macao,and Taiwan）.Trained physicians collected demographic and clinical data and measured blood pressure （BP） using a standardized *** was defned as systolic BP ≥140 mmHg and/or diastolic BP ≥90 mmHg,and/or use of antihypertensive *** 〈140/90 mmHg and 〈130/80 mmHg were used as the 2 thresholds of hypertension *** multivariate logistic regression with adjustment for sex and age,we analyzed the association between CKD stages and uncontrolled hypertension in non-dialysis CKD *** The analysis included 8927 non-dialysis CKD *** prevalence,awareness,and treatment of hypertension in non-dialysis CKD patients were 67.3%,85.8%,and 81.0%,*** hypertensive CKD patients,33.1% and 14.1% had controlled BP to 〈140/90 mmHg and 〈130/80 mmHg,*** successive CKD stages,the prevalence of hypertension in non-dialysis CKD patients increased,but the control of hypertension decreased （P〈0.001）.When the threshold of BP 〈130/80 mmHg was considered,the risk of uncontrolled hypertension in CKD 2,3a,3b,4,and 5 stages increased 1.3,1.4,1.4,2.5,and 4.0 times compared with CKD 1 stage,respectively （P〈0.05）.Using the threshold of 〈140/90 mmHg,the risk of uncontrolled hypertension increased in advanced stages （P〈0.05）.Conclusions The prevalence of hypertension Chinese non-dialysis CKD patients was high,and the hypertension control was *** successive CKD stages,the risk of uncontrolled hypertension increased.

Background：Globally,the proportion of child deaths that occur in the neonatal period remains a high level of 37-41%.Differences of cause in neonate death exist in different regions as well as in different economic development *** specific aim of this study was to investigate the causes,characteristics,and differences of death in neonates during hospitalization in the tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit （NICU） of ***：All the dead neonates admitted to 26 NICUs were included between January 1,2011,and December 31,*** the data were collected retrospectively from clinical records by a designed *** collected from each NICU were delivered to the leading institution where the results were ***：A total of 744 newborns died during the l-year survey,accounting for 1.2% of all the neonates admitted to 26 NICUs and 37.6% of all the deaths in children under 5 years of age in these *** neonate death accounted for 59.3% of all the *** leading causes of death in preterm and term infants were pulmonary disease and infection,*** early neonate period,pulmonary diseases （56.5%） occupied the largest proportion ofpreterm deaths while infection （27%） and neurologic diseases （22%） were the two main causes of term *** late neonate period,infection was the leading cause of both preterm and term neonate *** two-thirds of neonate death occurred after medical care *** the cases who might survive if receiving continuing treatment,parents＇ concern about the long-term outcomes was the main reason of medical care ***：Neonate death still accounts for a high proportion of all the deaths in children under 5 years of *** study showed the majority of neonate death occurred in preterm *** of death varied with the age of death and gestational *** and prompt evaluation of the long-term outcomes should be carried out to guide the critical decision.
