Most forest fires in the Margalla Hills are related to human activities and socioeconomic factors are essential to assess their likelihood of *** study considers both environmental(altitude,precipitation,forest type,terrain and humidity index)and socioeconomic(population density,distance from roads and urban areas)factors to analyze how human behavior affects the risk of forest *** entropy(Maxent)modelling and random forest(RF)machine learning methods were used to predict the probability and spatial diffusion patterns of forest fires in the Margalla *** receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve and the area under the ROC curve(AUC)were used to compare the *** studied the fire history from 1990 to 2019 to establish the relationship between the probability of forest fire and environmental and socioeconomic *** Maxent,the AUC fire probability values for the 1999 s,2009 s,and 2019 s were 0.532,0.569,and 0.518,respectively;using RF,they were 0.782,0.825,and 0.789,*** were mainly distributed in urban areas and their probability of occurrence was related to accessibility and human behaviour/*** principles for validation were greater in the random forest models than in the Maxent *** results can be used to establish preventive measures to reduce risks of forest fires by considering socio-economic and environmental conditions.

Timely detection and elimination of damage in areas with excessive vehicle loading can reduce the risk of road ***,various methods of photo and video surveillance are used to monitor the condition of the road *** manual approach to evaluation and analysis of the received data can take a protracted period of ***,it is necessary to improve the procedures for inspection and assessment of the condition of control objects with the help of computer vision and deep learning *** this paper,we propose a model based on Mask Region-based Convolutional Neural Network(Mask R-CNN)architecture for identifying defects of the road surface in the real-time *** shows the process of collecting and the features of the training samples and the deep neural network(DNN)training process,taking into account the specifics of the problems *** the software implementation of the proposed architecture,the Python programming language and the TensorFlow framework were *** use of the proposed model is effective even in conditions of a limited amount of source *** as a result of experiments,a high degree of repeatability of the results was *** to the metrics,Mask R-CNN gave the high detection and segmentation results showing 0.9214,0.9876,0.9571 precision,recall,and F1-score respectively in road damage detection,and Intersection over Union(IoU)-0.3488 and Dice similarity coefficient-0.7381 in segmentation of road damages.

Analytical Model for Predicting the Heat Loss Effect on the Pyrolysis of Biomass Particles

This paper presents the combined influence of heat-loss and radiation on the pyrolysis of biomass particles by considering the structure of one-dimensional, laminar and steady state flame propagation in uniformly premixed wood particles. The assumed flame structure consists of a broad preheat-vaporization zone where the rate of gas-phase chemical reaction is small, a thin reaction zone composed of three regions: gas, tar and char combustion where convection and the vaporization rate of the fuel particles are small, and a broad convection zone. The analysis is performed in the asymptotic limit, where the value of the characteristic Zeldovich number is large and the equivalence ratio is larger than unity(i.e.u≥1). The principal attention is made on the determination of a non-linear burning velocity correlation. Consequently, the impacts of radiation, heat loss and particle size as the determining factors on the flame temperature and burning velocity of biomass particles are declared in this research.

The task of segmentation of brain regions affected by ischemic stroke is help to tackle important challenges of modern stroke imaging ***,at the moment,the models for solving this problem using machine learning methods are far from *** this paper,we consider a modified 3D UNet architecture to improve the quality of stroke segmentation based on 3Dcomputed tomography *** use the IsLEs 2018(Ischemic stroke Lesion segmentation Challenge 2018)open dataset to train and test the proposed *** of the obtained results,as well as the ideas for further experiments are included in the *** evaluation is performed using the Dice or f1 score coefficient and the Jaccard *** architecture may simply be extended to ischemia segmentation and computed tomography image identification by selecting relevant *** Dice/f1 score similarity coefficient of our model shown58%and results close to ground truth which is higher than the standard 3D UNet model,demonstrating that our model can accurately segment ischemic *** modified 3D UNet model proposed by us uses an efficient averaging method inside a neural *** this set of IsLEs is limited in number,using the data augmentation method and neural network regularization methods to prevent overfitting gave the best *** addition,one of the advantages is the use of the Intersection over Union loss function,which is based on the assessment of the coincidence of the shapes of the recognized zones.

Background:Individual tree extraction from terrestrial laser scanning(TLs)data is a prerequisite for tree-scale estimations of forest biophysical *** task currently is undertaken through laborious and time-consuming manual assistance and quality *** study presents a new fully automatic approach to extract single trees from large-area TLs *** data-driven method operates exclusively on a point cloud graph by path finding,which makes our method computationally efficient and universally applicable to data from various forest ***:We demonstrated the proposed method on two openly available ***,we achieved state-of-the-art performance on locating single trees on a benchmark dataset by significantly improving the mean accuracy by over 10% especially for difficult forest ***,we successfully extracted 270 trees from one hectare temperate *** validation resulted in a mean Intersection over Union(mIoU)of 0.82 for single crown segmentation,which further led to a relative root mean square error(RMsE%)of 21.2% and 23.5% for crown area and tree volume estimations,***:Our method allows automated access to individual tree level information from TLs point *** proposed method is free from restricted assumptions of forest *** is also computationally efficient with an average processing time of several seconds for one million *** is expected and hoped that our method would contribute to TLs-enabled wide-area forest qualifications,ranging from stand volume and carbon stocks modelling to derivation of tree functional traits as part of the global ecosystem understanding.

A new binucleating macrocyclic ligand 2,6-bis (1,4,7,10-te-traazacyclododecan-10-ylmethyl)methoxy-benzene (L) and its binuclear copper (II) complex, [ Cu2LBr2 ] (ClO4 )2 · 3H2O (1), was prepared and the structure was determined by X-ray crystallography. Complex 1 crystallizes in monoclinic crystal system, P21/n space group with a = 0.8206(3), b = 2.0892(8), c = 2.3053(7) nm, β=95.83(2)°, V = 3.932 nm3, Mr = 1017.57, Z = 4, Dc= 1.692 g/cm3, and R = 0. 0489, Rw= 0.0552 for 6571 observed reflections with I≥2σ (I). Both of the copper(II) centers are coordinated by four amine nitrogen donors of cyclen subunits and a bromide an-ion, and each copper (II) ion is in a square-pyramidal coordination environment. Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility studies indicate that there exists weak intramolecular an-tiferro-magnetic coupling ( - 2J = 2.06 cm-1) between the two copper(n) centers.

Existing semi-supervisedmedical image segmentation algorithms use copy-paste data augmentation to correct the labeled-unlabeled data distribution ***,current copy-paste methods have three limitations:(1)training the model solely with copy-paste mixed pictures from labeled and unlabeled input loses a lot of labeled information;(2)low-quality pseudo-labels can cause confirmation bias in pseudo-supervised learning on unlabeled data;(3)the segmentation performance in low-contrast and local regions is less than *** design a stochastic Augmentation-Based Dual-Teaching Auxiliary training strategy(sADT),which enhances feature diversity and learns high-quality features to overcome these *** be more precise,sADT trains the student Network by using pseudo-label-based training from teacher Network 1 and supervised learning with labeled data,which prevents the loss of rare labeled *** introduce a bi-directional copy-pastemask with progressive high-entropy filtering to reduce data distribution disparities and mitigate confirmation bias in *** the mixed images,Deep-shallow spatial Contrastive Learning(DssCL)is proposed in the feature spaces of teacher Network 2 and the student Network to improve the segmentation capabilities in low-contrast and local *** this procedure,the features retrieved by the student Network are subjected to a random feature perturbation *** two openly available datasets,extensive trials show that our proposed sADT performs much better than the state-ofthe-art semi-supervised medical segmentation *** only 10%of the labeled data for training,sADT was able to acquire a Dice score of 90.10%on the ACDC(Automatic Cardiac Diagnosis Challenge)dataset.

The islanded mode is one of the connection modes of the grid distributed generation *** this study,a distributed generation resource is connected to linear and nonlinear loads via a three-phase inverter where a control method needing no current sensors or compensator elements is applied to the distribute generation system in the islanded *** control method has two main loops in each *** first loop controls the voltage control loops that adjust the three-phase point of common coupling,the amplitude of the non-sinusoidal reference waveform and the near-state pulse width modulation(NsPWM)*** next loop compensates the harmonic compensator loop that calculates the voltage harmonics of the point of common coupling in each phase,and injects them to compensate the non-sinusoidal reference waveforms of each *** simulation results in MATLAB/sIMULINK show that this method can generate balanced threephase sinusoidal voltage with an acceptable total harmonic distortion(THD)at the joint connection point.

Nighttime snacking is associated with risk of obesity and hyperglycemia in adults:a cross-sectional survey from Chinese adult teachers

Relationship between nighttime snack and human health conditions remains unclear. In this paper, we analyzed the association of frequency of nighttime snacking with obesity, hyperlipidemia and hyperglycemia using a Chinese teacher cohort. The Chinese teacher study contains 22,176 of the general adult population operated on in *** of nighttime snacking frequency was acquired by questionnaire. Overweight and obesity outcome were assessed by body mass index（BMI）, and hypertension; hyperlipidemia and hyperglycemia were *** between nighttime snacking consumption and outcomes were performed with multivariat regression and further stratification analyses. We found a significant association（OR 2.11, 95% CI 1.24, 3.62; P for trend 〈0.001）between most frequent nighttime snacking and hyperglycemia. A remarkable association was also observed between most frequent consumption of nighttime snack and obesity（OR 3.10, 95% CI 1.63, 5.89; P for trend〈0.001）. The present results provide epidemiological evidence that consumption of nighttime snack was associated with obesity and hyperglycemia in Chinese adult teachers. However, the underlying mechanisms still need further investigation.
