In this paper,the stability and bifurcation analysis of symmetrical and asymmetrical micro-rotating shafts are investigated when the rotational speed is in the vicinity of the critical *** the help of Hamilton's principle,nonlinear equations of motion are derived based on non-classical theories such as the strain gradient *** the dynamic modeling,the geometric nonlinearities due to strains,and strain gradients are *** bifurcations and steady state solution are compared between the classical theory and the non-classical *** is observed that using a non-classical theory has considerable effect in the steady-state response and bifurcations of the *** a result,under the classical theory,the symmetrical shaft becomes completely stable in the least damping coefficient,while the asymmetrical shaft becomes completely stable in the highest damping *** the modified strain gradient theory,the symmetrical shaft becomes completely stable in the least total eccentricity,and under the classical theory the asymmetrical shaft becomes completely stable in the highest total ***,it is shown that by increasing the ratio of the radius of gyration per length scale parameter,the results of the non-classical theory approach those of the classical theory.

Incremental dynamic analysis and nonlinear static pushover analysis are carried out on a performance-based design to determine the seismic demands and capacities of an elliptic braced moment resisting frame(ELBRF).The objective is to assess ductility,overstrength and response modification factors in a modern steel-braced structural system based on incremental dynamic *** integrated system is connected to a beam and column with an appropriate length while providing enough architectural space to allow for an opening without having the common problems associated with architectural spaces in braced *** different classes of buildings are considered on soil type *** dynamic analysis,nonlinear static pushover analysis and incremental nonlinear dynamic analysis related to 12 records from past earthquakes are carried out using Opensees *** factors of ductility,overstrength and response modification are calculated for this *** values of 9.5 and 6.5 are found and suggested only for the response modification factor for ELBRF systems in allowable stress and ultimate limit state methods,*** fragility curves are plotted for the first time for this type of bracing,which contributes to the assessment of building seismic damage.

We investigate quasi-local energy distribution and thermodynamics of the Reissner-Nordstr6m black hole space-time surrounded by quintessence. We use the quasi-local energy distribution from Einstein energy-momentum complex. We plot the variation of the energies, temperature and heat capacity with the state parameter related to the quintessence ωq. We show that due to the presence of quintessence, the total energy of the outer region as well as the temperature and heat capacity decreases with the increase of the density of quintessence, while the total energy of the black hole region increases.

Preferential solvation of pomalidomide(PMD)was explored in dimethyl sulfoxide(DMsO)-dimethylformamide(DMF),DMsO-tetrahydrofuran(THF),DMsO-methanol(Me OH),DMsO-isopropanol,DMsO-water,water-DMF,water-THF,water-Me OH,and water–isopropanol binary mixed solvents at 298.15 ***-Rose model was utilized to determine the electronic transition energies(ET)and other preferential solvation parameters,describing solute-solute and solute-solvent *** found thatλmaxsituation shifted with dielectric constant of the pure solvents *** to the obtained results,ETenhanced andλmaxshifted to the lower wavelengths as the percentage of DMsO decreased in the binary mixtures,remarking the important role of DMsO for stabilizing the excited state(π*)of PMD chromophore via efficient intermolecular solute-solvent *** addition,the aqueous binary systems showed an optimum point for the ETvalues as the percentage of water changed in the *** local mole fraction of the solvents in the cybotactic region was also estimated to describe the specific and non-specific interactions in the systems.

A DFT calculations are carried out at UB3LYP/6-311＋＋G （3df, 2p） levels of theory to study electrocyclic thermal cleavage of four （R） derivatives of unsaturated bicyclic diaziridines, Ix-R, to produce corresponding （Z） and （E） azomethine imides （2X-Z, 2X-E, 3X-Z and 3X-E）, where X=H, Me, t-Bu and Ph. Cleavage of 1X-R series to form the most stable 3X-Z product, （path 2） is found the favored procedure because of delocalized negative charge on five atoms and lower steric effect in related transition state. According to IRC calculations in paths 1 and 2, C6--N1 bond is cleaved before the rate determinating step （transition state）. The stability of unsaturated bicyclic diaziridines and their corresponding （Z） and （E） azomethine imides is in the following order in gas phase and chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, and acetone solvents： 3X-Z〈3X-F〈2X-Z 〈2X-E 〈 1X-R 〈 1X-s.

This paper deals with the numerical implementation of the exponential Drucker-Parger plasticitymodel in the commercial finite element software,ABAQUs,via user subroutine UMAT for adhesive joint *** influence of hydrostatic pressure on adhesive strength was investigated by a modified Arcan fixture designed particularly to induce a different state of hydrostatic pressure within an adhesive *** developed user subroutine UMAT,which utilizes an associated plastic flow during a plastic deformation,can provide a good agreement between the simulations and the experimental *** numerical stability at highly positive hydrostatic pressure loads for a very high order of exponential function can also be achieved compared to when a non-associated flow is used.
