In this paper,we propose a skeleton-based method to identify violence and aggressive *** approach does not necessitate highprocessing equipment and it can be quickly *** approach consists of two phases:feature extraction from image sequences to assess a human posture,followed by activity classification applying a neural network to identify whether the frames include aggressive situations and violence.A video violence dataset of 400 min comprising a single person’s activities and 20 h of video data including physical violence and aggressive acts,and 13 classifications for distinguishing aggressor and victim behavior were ***,the proposed method was trained and tested using the collected *** results indicate the accuracy of 97%was achieved in identifying aggressive conduct in video ***,the obtained results show that the proposed method can detect aggressive behavior and violence in a short period of time and is accessible for real-world applications.

Farmers are eager to know the various types of weeds in paddy *** will help in choosing the best weed management practice for effective weed control as well as reducing rice yield *** objectives of the study are to identify the weeds species affecting the rice field,to assess the composition of weeds species,to classify the weed species into different families,genera,species,common names,Hausa names,lifecycles,life forms,native/exotic species,propagation and uses,and to determine the dominant weed *** vegetation surveys were *** observed were photographed,and prepared as herbarium *** key manuals and checklists were utilized for weed identification and later organized using the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group(APG)classification system.A total number of 72 plants species distributed within 16 families and 50 genera were *** annuals(66.67%)were the dominant weed followed by perennials(33.33%)while biennials were the *** broad leaves were the dominant weed(44.61%)identified followed by Poaceae(27.7%)and Sedges(11.11%).Results obtained from this study could be useful in choosing the best management practice and in making a decision on the choice of herbicides and directing research towards improved weed control measures.

The concentrations of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Fe and Zn in selected dumpsites in Potiskum were determined with Buck Scientific 210VGB Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS) AVG 210. One-way ANOVA was deployed at p ·kg-1) of studied heavy metals in Potiskum dumpsites ranged from 0.108 ± 0.02 - 262.536 ± 0.68 with pattern of accumulation Pb (262.536 ± 0.02) > Zn (183.369 ± 0.58) > Fe (159.453 ± 0.50) > Cu (111.382 ± 0.62) > Cr (43.523 ± 0.36) > Ni (6.419 ± 0.26) > Cd (0.679 ± 0.01) > As (0.108 ± 0.02) mg·kg-1. The concentrations of As, Cr, Ni, Fe and Zn fell below the WHO standards while those of Pb, Cd and Cu were above set limits by WHO. High acidity corresponds markedly with high levels of Cd, Cu, Cr and Zn and requires urgent attention as this trend is capable of groundwater contamination that will cause public health concern in affected areas.

M-type barium hexaferrites with chemical composition Ba1-xDyxFe12-yCryO19(x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, and y =0.0, 0.4, 0.5) were synthesized via sol–gel auto-combustion method. The samples were pre-sintered at 400℃ for 3 h and sintered at 950℃ for 5 h. The changes in the structural, dielectric, and optical properties were studied after the substitution of Dy3+and Cr3+ions. X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis confirms the formation of single phase hexaferrites with the absence of secondary phase. FTIR analysis gives an idea of the formation of hexaferrites with the appearance of two peaks at 438 cm-1and 589 cm-1. The field emission scanning electron micrographs(FESEM) show a combination of crystallites with large shapes close to hexagonal platelet-like shape and others with rice or rod-like shapes, whereas EDX and elemental analysis confirm the stoichiometry of prepared samples. The calculated band gap from UV-vis NIR spectroscopy spectra was found to decreases with increase in Dy3+–Cr3+substitution. The dielectric properties were explained on the basis of Maxwell–Wagner model. Enhancement of dielectric constant at higher frequencies was observed in all the samples. Low dielectric loss is also observed in all the samples and Cole–Cole plot shows that grain boundary resistance(Rgb) contribute most to the dielectric properties. The prepared samples exhibit properties that could be useful for optoelectronics and high frequency application.

Stepper motor driven systems are widely used in industrial applications. They are mainly used for their low cost open-loop high performance. However, as dynamic systems need to be increasingly faster and their motion more precise, it is important to have an open-loop system which is accurate and reliable. In this paper, we present a novel technique in which a genetic algorithm (GA) based lookup table approach is used to find the optimal stepping sequence of an open-loop stepper motor system. The optimal sequence objective is to minimize residual vibration and to accurately follow trajectory. A genetic algorithm is used to find the best stepping sequence which minimizes the error and improves the system performance. Numerical simulation has showed the effectiveness of our approach to improve the system performance for both position and velocity. The optimized system reduced the residual vibration and was able to follow the trajectory with minimal error.

The effects of inclined water jets on bicomponent hydroentangled fabrics were investigated. The PET/COPET and PA6/PET hydroentangled fabrics were made by using designed inclined water jet apparatus. Effects of basis weight, water jets inclination angle and water jet pressure were discussed. The comparison was made on the average tensile strength of fabrics made by perpendicular water jets (0^o inclination angle) and inclined water jets of 20^o with pressure levels of 3 bars and 7 bars. It was found that increases of water jet pressure, the fabrics tensile strength were increased. Furthermore, increases of water jets inclination angle, fabric tensile strength of 60 g/m^2 fabrics decreased while for 100 g/m^2 fabrics tensile strength increased.
