Biological volatile organic compounds(BVOCs) have a large influence on atmospheric environmental quality, climate change and the carbon cycle. This study assesses the composition and diurnal variation in emission rates of BVOCs from Pinus tabuliformis, using an enclosure technique. Environmental parameters(temperature and light intensity) and physiological parameters(net photosynthetic rate, P_n; stomatal conductance, g_s; intercellular CO_2 concentration, C_i; and transpiration rate, T_r) that may affect emission behavior were continuously monitored. The 10 most abundant compound groups emitted by P. tabuliformis were classified by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. The dominant monoterpenoid compounds emitted were α-pinene, β-myrcene, α-farnesene and limonene. The diurnal emission rate of BVOCs changed with temperature and light intensity, with dynamic analysis of BVOCs emissions revealing that their emission rates were more affected by temperature than light. The variation in monoterpene emission rates was consistent with estimates of P_n, g_s and T_r. Basal emission rates(at 30 °C,) of the main BVOCs ranged from 0.006 to 0.273 μg^(-1)/(hr g),while the basal ER standardization coefficients ranged from 0.049 to 0.144 °C^(-1). Overall, these results provide a detailed reference for the effective selection and configuration of tree species to effectively prevent and control atmospheric pollution.

Globalized cultures,imaginaries,and economies are often matched to the standardization of building ***,solutions that are not tailored for a specific context tend to entail environmental,economic,and social *** human history,vernacular wisdom has produced interesting low-energy and climate-responsive architectures all around the globe:These can be seen as interesting examples in an era of global warming and overall uncertainty;at the same time,they represent accessible sustainable solutions in deprived areas of the world as well as in wealthier *** experience of participatory design and building process is here presented,carried on in a rural area of El Salvador,Central America.A sanitary facility for a school is designed and realized after the collectively desired recovery and improvement of one of the fruits of local vernacular wisdom in building design,i.e.,the adobe earth *** potentials and limits of such experience as well as of the used technology are reviewed in the perspective of affordable and ecologically sustainable housing and settlements in the area.

Importance of quality control in lipidomics profiling based on mass spectrometry

As a current analytical instrument for lipidomics profiling with high sensitivity, selectivity, and throughput, mass spectrometry (MS) has been widely used in the field of clinical medicine, nutrition, bromatology, botany and etc. During the routine use of shotgun- MS and high performance liquid chromatography-MS (HPLC-MS) in lipid analysis, an important problem to be solved is the defective repeatability and stability resulting from signal attenuation or drifts in LC-peak shape and retention time of MS platform. To remove or minimize the influence, extensively accepted and applied QC (quality control) samples must be performed. In this review, we emphasize the importance of the application of QC samples, which could 1) provide the ability to equilibrate the analytical platform at the beginning; 2) act as a quality assurance (QA) procedure during the analytical process; 3) perform signal correction in the data handling with the purpose of reducing analytical variation and improving the precision of quantitative analysis; 4) the data between different laboratories can be compared through the incorporation of particular QC samples-Standard Reference Material (SRM) 1950. In addition, we display 4 types and requirements of QC samples during quality control in lipidomics profiling. Lipidomics profiling based on MS strongly requires commonly accepted guidelines for quality control to perform routine, large-scale researches, so as to integrate data from different scientists for more information.

目的:对针灸治疗原发性高血压(EH)的系统评价或Meta分析进行再评价,提出合理建议以促进临床研究规范化.方法:采用计算机检索荷兰医学文摘数据库(EMBASE)、PubMed、中国知网(CNKI)、重庆维普数据库(CQVIP)、中国生物医学文献数据库(CBM)及万方学术期刊全文数据库(Wanfang),搜集针灸治疗EH的系统评价或Meta分析.时间从建库至2020年7月,按照纳入标准与排除标准,对文献进行筛选和数据提取.采用系统回顾和荟萃分析的首选报告项目(PRISMA)量表,系统评价方法学质量评价工具2(AMSTAR 2)量表,推荐分级的评价、制定与评估(GRADE)量表对文献进行质量与证据等级评估.结果:共纳入14篇文献,含10篇中文文献和4篇英文文献,为2012年至2019年期间发表,涵盖70个结局指标.方法学质量均为极低,文献报告质量相对完全或存在一定缺陷,证据质量等级均为低级或极低级.结论:目前针灸治疗EH的系统评价和Meta分析的方法学质量和结局指标证据等级都较低,报告质量也有待进一步提高.
