Therapeutic effects and safety of olcegepant and telcagepant for migraine A meta-analysis

OBJECTIVE： To evaluate the therapeutic effects and adverse reactions of olcegepant and telcagepant for the treatment of migraine. DATA RETRIEVAL： We identified studies using Medline （1966-01/2012-06）, PubMed （1966-01/2012-06）, Scopus （1980-01/2012-06）, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials （1980-01/2012-06） and China National Knowledge Infrastructure （1980-01/2012-06）. SELECTION CRITERIA： The included studies were double-blind, randomized and placebo-controlled trials of olcegepant or telcagepant for the treatment of single acute migraine in patients with or without aura. Adverse reaction data were also included. Two independent investigators performed quality evaluation and data extraction using Jadad scoring. Meta-analyses were undertaken using RevMan 5.0.25 software. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： Pain relief rate, pain-free rate, and incidence of adverse reactions were measured in patients 2 and 24 hours after injection of olcegepant and oral teicagepant. RESULTS： Six randomized, controlled trials were included. Meta-analysis demonstrated that compared with placebo, the pain relief rate （odds ratio, OR = 5.21, 95% confidence interval, CI： 1.91-14.2, P 〈 0.01） and pain-free rate （OR = 31.11, 95% Ch 3.80-254.98, P 〈 0.01） significantly increased 2 hours after 2.5 mg/d olcegepant treatment. Pain relief rate and pain-free rate 2 and 24 hours after treatment with telcagepant 150 mg/d and 300 mg/d were superior to placebo （P 〈 0.01）. Moreover, the remission rate of unrelenting headache was higher after 24 hours of 300 mg/d telcagepant treatment compared with 150 mg/d （OR = 0.78, 95% Ch 0.62-0.97, P 〈 0.05）. The incidence of adverse reactions with olcegepant was not significantly greater than placebo （P = 0.28） but within 48 hours of administration of telcagepant 300 mg/d, the incidence of adverse reactions was higher than placebo （OR = 1.21,95% Ch 1.04-1.42, P 〈 0.01）. Acute hemorrhagic anemia can decrease blood flow and oxygen supply to brain, and affect its physiological function. While detecting changes in brain function in patients with acute hemorrhagic anemia is helpful for preventing neurological complications and evaluating therapeutic effects, clinical changes in the nervous systems of these patients have not received much attention. In part, this is because current techniques can only indirectly detect changes in brain function following onset of anemia, which leads to lags between real changes in brain function and their detection.

Longitudinal study of a community hospital integrated model for diabetes management in the Beijing Jingsong community

Objective:To determine the effects of a community hospital integrated model on the longitu-dinal management of diabetic ***:Four hundred forty-one patients with type 2 diabetes residing in Jingsong Commu-nity were randomly assigned to intensive and standard *** parameters were meas-ured in the two groups at baseline and after 36 months of management to compare the rate of goal ***:After comprehensive management,the overall control rate in the intensive group was increased from 2.7%to 9.6%compared with 2.3%-4.5%in the standard ***,the control rates for fasting plasma glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin,and blood pressure in the intensive group were significantly increased from 54.1%,40.0%,and 68.2%to 85.5%,74.6%,and 89.1%,*** control rate for glycosylated hemoglobin in the intensive group was significantly higher than the standard group after 36 months of ***:The community hospital integrated model for longitudinal management effec-tively improved the control rate of glycosylated hemoglobin and the overall control rate in patients with type 2 diabetes.

An improved floor field model is proposed to simulate the pedestrian evacuation behavior in a room with multiple exits by modifying the static floor *** modified static floor field is determined additionally by two cognitive coefficients of exit width and congestion degree around the *** logit-based discrete choice principle is used to govern the initial exit selection strategy based on the modified static floor field in such a scenario that pedestrians are distributed in the room's specified *** results show that the proposed model can better perform the evacuation *** analyses of the model parameters are also presented.

The design of a new adaptive version of the multiple dependent state(AMDS)sampling plan is presented based on the time truncated life test under the Weibull *** achieved the proposed sampling plan by applying the concept of the double sampling plan and existing multiple dependent state sampling plans.A warning sign for acceptance number was proposed to increase the probability of current lot *** optimal plan parameters were determined simultaneously with nonlinear optimization problems under the producer’s risk and consumer’s risk.A simulation study was presented to support the proposed sampling plan.A comparison between the proposed and existing sampling plans,namely multiple dependent state(MDS)sampling plans and a modified multiple dependent state(MMDS)sampling plan,was considered under the average sampling number and operating characteristic curve *** addition,the use of two real datasets demonstrated the practicality and usefulness of the proposed sampling *** results indicated that the proposed plan is more flexible and efficient in terms of the average sample number compared to the existing MDS and MMDS sampling plans.

Designing Adaptive Multiple Dependent State Sampling Plan for Accelerated Life Tests

A novel adaptive multiple dependent state sampling plan(AMDSSP)was designed to inspect products from a continuous manufacturing process under the accelerated life test(ALT)using both double sampling plan(DSP)and multiple dependent state sampling plan(MDSSP)*** accelerated conditions,the lifetime of a product follows the Weibull distribution with a known shape parameter,while the scale parameter can be determined using the acceleration factor(AF).The Arrhenius model is used to estimate AF when the damaging process is *** economic design of the proposed sampling plan was also considered for the ALT.A genetic algorithm with nonlinear optimization was used to estimate optimal plan parameters to minimize the average sample number(ASN)and total cost of inspection(TC)under both producer’s and consumer’s *** results are presented to support the AMDSSP for the ALT,while performance comparisons between the AMDSSP,the MDSSP and a single sampling plan(SSP)for the ALT are *** indicated that the AMDSSP was more flexible and efficient for ASN and TC than the MDSSP and SSP plans under accelerated *** AMDSSP also had a higher operating characteristic(OC)curve than both the existing sampling *** real datasets of electronic devices for the ALT at high temperatures demonstrated the practicality and usefulness of the proposed sampling plan.

The effect of investor sentiment on stock volatility is a highly attractive research question in both the academic field and the real financial *** the proposal of China’s"dual carbon"target,green stocks have gradually become an essential branch of Chinese stock *** on 106 stocks from the new energy,environmental protection,and carbon–neutral sectors,we construct two investor sentiment proxies using Internet text and stock trading data,*** Internet sentiment is based on posts from Eastmoney Guba,and the trading sentiment comes from a variety of trading *** addition,we divide the realized volatility into continuous and jump parts,and then investigate the effects of investor sentiment on different types of *** empirical findings show that both sentiment indices impose significant positive impacts on realized,continuous,and jump volatilities,where trading sentiment is the main *** further explore the mediating effect of information asymmetry,measured by the volume-synchronized probability of informed trading(VPIN),on the path of investor sentiment affecting stock *** is evidenced that investor sentiments are positively correlated with the VPIN,and they can affect volatilities through the *** then divide the total sample around the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)*** empirical results reveal that the market volatility after the COVID-19 pandemic is more susceptible to investor sentiments,especially to Internet *** study is of great significance for maintaining the stability of green stock markets and reducing market volatility.
