Geometric edge effect on the interface of Au/CeO_(2)nanocatalysts for CO oxidation

The oxide supports play a crucial role in anchoring and promoting the active metal species by geometric confinement and chemical *** design and synthesis of the well-defined oxide support with specific morphology such as size,shape,and exposed facets have attracted extensive research efforts,which directly reflects on their catalytic *** this study,using an Au/CeO_(2)-nanorod model catalyst,we demonstrate an edge effect on the Au/CeO_(2)interfacial structure,which shows a prominent effect on the structure-performance relationship in the CO oxidation *** specific“edge-interface”structure features an“edge-on”Au nanoparticles position on rod-shaped CeO_(2)support,confirmed by atomic-scale electron microscopy characterization,which introduces additional degrees of freedom in coordination environment,chemical state,bond length,and *** with theocratical calculations and in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(DRIFTS)investigations,we confirmed that this“edge-interface”has distinct adsorption properties due to the change of O vacancy formation energy as well as the chemical states of Au resulting from the electron transfer and redistribution between the metal and the *** results demonstrate a non-conventional geometric effect of rod-shaped supported metal catalysts on the catalytic performance,which could provide insights into the atomic-precise utilization of catalysts.

A gradual increase in avian influenza outbreaks has been found in recent *** is highly possible to trigger the next human pandemic due to the characteristics of antigenic drift and antigenic shift in avian influenza virus(AIV).Although great improvements in understanding influenza viruses and the associated diseases have been unraveled,our knowledge of how these viruses impact the gut microbiome of both poultry and humans,as well as the underlying mechanisms,is still ***“One Health”approach shows better vitality in monitoring and mitigating the risk of avian influenza,which requires a multi-sectoral effort and highlights the interconnection of human health with environmental sustainability and animal ***,monitoring the gut microbiome may serve as a sentinel for protecting the common health of the environment,animals,and *** review summarizes the interactions between AIV infection and the gut microbiome of poultry and humans and their potential *** the presented suggestions,we hope to address the current major challenges in the surveillance and prevention of microbiome-related avian influenza with the“One Health”approach.

Many aphid species exhibit both cyclical parthenogenesis(CP)and the obligate parthenogenesis(OP)life history,which are genetically *** CP aphid lineages,the parthenogenetic individuals can switch from asexual to sexual reproduction quickly in response to environmental factors such as changes in photoperiod and ***,the OP aphid lineages do not undergo sexual reproduction under any *** far,mechanisms underlying the reproduction switch in CP aphids have not been fully *** padi,a serious worldwide insect pest of wheat,has both CP and OP *** diphosphate-glycosyltransferases(UGTs)are enzymes that participate in the metabolic detoxification of ***,we identified 43 RpUGT genes from *** genome and transcriptome sequences,and found that:(1)the UGT content of the CP lineage was significantly higher than that in the OP lineage at the key time points when CP lineage mainly produce virginoparae,gynoparae,and males under inducing condition,while there were no significant difference under normal conditions;(2)RpUGT344J7 gene was highly expressed during the time points when CP lineages produce gynopara and males;(3)the critical time points for CP lineages to produce virginoparaee,gynoparae,and males were affected when the CP lineages were injected with dsRpUGT344J7;(4)the knockdown of RpUGT344J7 caused a significant reduction in the total number of virginoparae,gynoparae,and males in the offspring under inducing *** findings contribute to our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying the quick shift from asexual to sexual reproduction in aphid species.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) has become a significant health concern with increasing incidence and mortality rates over the past few decades. Researchers have turned their attention to cutting-edge mass spectrometry (MS) technology due to its high-throughput and accurate detection capacity, which plays a vital role in understanding the mechanisms and discovering biomarkers for pancreatic diseases. In this review, we comprehensively investigate various methodologies of quantitative and qualitative proteomics MS technologies, alongside bioinformatical platforms employed in pancreatic cancer research. The integration of these optimized approaches provides novel insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying tumorigenesis and disease progression, ultimately facilitating the discovery of potential diagnostic, prognostic biomarkers, and therapeutic targets. The robust MS-based strategy shows promise in paving the way for early diagnosis and personalized medicine for pancreatic cancer patients.

Poly(ionic liquids)(PILs)combined with the macromolecular structure and unique properties of ionic liquids show unlimited potential in *** this work,a series of metal-based PIL with different ionic ratios were prepared for the selective oxidation of *** analysis reveals that different degrees of ionization could adjust the Co-N sites of the catalysts efficiently,leading to significant changes in their electronic structure,which strongly relate to catalytic performance in oxidation.20.07%cyclohexane conversion and 13.06%cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol(KA oil)yield can be achieved by metal-based PILs that are better than other commercial *** with CoCl_(2),metal-based PILs perform well,with superior conversion and KA oil *** interestingly,the catalyst created in this study features a malleable Co-N site,which may potentially have an impact on how oxygen species adsorb and desorb from the ***,the catalyst studied in this work is used as molecular oxygen for the selective oxidation of cyclohexane to produce KA oil,and its application prospect is promising.

Kinetic Rates of the Fischer Tropsch Synthesis on a Co/Nb_2O_5 Catalyst

The kinetics of the Fischer-Tropsch reaction over a Co/Nb2O5 catalyst in a fixed bed reactor was investigated experimentally. Experiments were carried out under isothermal and isobaric conditions （T=543 K, P=2.1 MPa） and under different conditions of several H2/CO feed molar ratio （0.49-4.79）, space velocities （0.2-3.8 h^-1）, mass of catalyst （0.3-1.5 g）, and CO conversion （10%-29%）. Synthesis gas conversion was measured and data were reduced to estimate the kinetic parameters for different Langmuir-Hinshelwood rate expressions. Differential and integral reactor models were used for the nonlinear regression of kinetics parameters. One of the rate equations could well explain the data. The hydrocarbon product distributions that were experimentally determined exhibited an unusual behavior, and a possible explanation was discussed.

Layered rock mass is a type of engineering rock mass with sound mechanical anisotropy,which is generally unfavorable to the stability of underground *** investigate the strength anisotropy of layered rock,the Mohr-Coulomb and Hoek-Brown criteria are introduced to establish the two transverse isotropic strength criteria based on Jaeger's single weak plane theory and maximum axial strain theory,and parameter determination ***,the sensitivity of strength parameters(K 1,K 2,and K 3)that are used to characterize the anisotropy strength of non-sliding failure involved in the strength criteria and confining pressure are *** results demonstrate that strength parameters K 1 and K 2 affect the strength of layered rock samples at all bedding angles except for the bedding angle of 90°and the angle range that can cause the shear sliding failure along the bedding *** strength of samples at any bedding angle decreases with increasing K 1,whereas the opposite is for K *** for bedding angles of 0°and 90°and the bedding angle range that can cause the shear sliding along the bedding plane,K 3 has an impact on the strength of rock samples with other bedding angles that the specimens'strength increases with increase of K *** addition,the strength of the rock sample increases as confining pressure ***,the uniaxial and triaxial tests of chlorite schist samples were carried out to verify and evaluate the strength criteria proposed in the *** shows that the predicted strength is in good agreement with the experimental *** test the applicability of the strength criterion,the strength data of several types of rock in the literature are ***,a comparison is made between the fitting effects of the two strength criteria and other available criteria for layered rocks.

First-line chemoimmunotherapy(with or without bevacizumab)has improved outcomes in advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Here,this open-label,multi-cohort phase II study(NCT05329025)was done to investigate the safety and efficacy of QL1706(a single bifunctional MabPair product against PD-1 and CTLA-4)and chemotherapy with or without bevacizumab in this *** were enrolled into five different cohorts based on genotype(cohorts 1-4,epidermal growth factor receptor[EGFR]wild-type;cohort 5,EGFR-mutant and progressed on EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors[TKIs]).Between June 11,2021 and december 29,2021,91 patients were *** frequent treatment-related adverse events(TRAEs)included decreased appetite(60[65.9%]),anemia(60[65.9%]),infusion-related reactions(48[52.7%]),and pruritus(44[48.4%]).Grade≥3 TRAEs occurred in 30(33.0%)***-seven(45%)patients with wild-type EGFR achieved partial response(PR)(objective response rate[ORR]=45%)and had a median progression-free survival(mPFS)of 6.8 months(95%CI:5.2-9.7).For 31 patients harboring mutated EGFR,17(54.8%)achieved PR(ORR=54.8%),with an mPFS of 8.5 months(95%CI:5.72-not evaluable).Overall,QL1706 plus chemotherapy,regardless of having bevacizumab,was generally tolerable and had promising antitumor activity for EGFR wild-type advanced NSCLC in first-line ***,QL1706 plus chemotherapy and bevacizumab showed favorable antitumor activity for patients who had EGFR mutated NSCLC but failed in TKI therapy,demonstrating a potential for treating this population.
